I have purchased 2 machines from GSSI and I will tell you that they have a very good product and their service is very good based on my experience with them. Their equipment is far more superior than MAlA's. I have also purchased two machines from MALA and they are ok but the accessories I ordered with them do not even match up to the equipment. With that being said, If you mark your targets in the manner this gentleman is showing you will most likely hit rebar or posttension cables. If you mark the targets on the outside of the unit as he is showing you will run the risk of hitting something due to the fact the machine is showing you exactly where the rebar is but you have to mark the target directly under the machine. In other words what I do is I mark the edge of the machine on both sides and then I put a ruler on the two lines and make my mark right in the middle of those marks. That is exactly where the rebar is. If you mark the outside as demonstrated and the bar curves you will not notice it and that would be a problem.. I am not being critical I am just saying think about what is being shown I would hate to hit rebar and I know it would be no fun for anyone else. so if I can help ease some pain, I am glad to do so. Good luck.

Hi, I have to rule out the existence of an abandoned oil tank beneath my deck which is 3’ above the ground.
Is it possible for this to be found with this piece of machinery and if so, do you have any contacts in NJ?

It's called Rebar; does that mean it's been barred once before?

Humour is not welcome in civil engineering.
