It's up to the people to make sure they are spending it correctly, not causing delays which costs more or are personally invested in companies doing the work. Florida gets $13billion and addition $17.3 COVID relief. Texas got $35billion and $27.3billion COVID Relief.
This is no different than the "shovel ready" projects under Obama. Never say any of it!

$1.2 trillion over 10 years. That's only $120 billion a year, which is not as big as you think it is.
Meanwhile congress just voted to spend $768 billion in a single year on military spending. That's $7.6 trillion over 10 years, although the actual number will be much higher since the military budget goes up every year. The true number will probably be closer to $10-$15 trillion. And no Republican other than Rand Paul will ever point this out

How can our roads and bridges be in bad shape considering the massive amount of money these governments steal from every gallon of fuel. Fully 40 cents on the gallon are taxes, or more! Add on that highway use taxes on truckers, and there is far more money taken in, then spent on roads. Don't even start with adding tolls to this, it's just another grab for power and cash.

As a transportation trucking company owner, we're struggling with so many boundaries and unnecessary regulations that they're putting in place and pushing us towards bankruptcy. I understand safety is important but I really don't think what this guy is saying makes any sense. They're trying to push all owner operators and smaller trucking companies out of business.
When 18 year olds get behind the wheel, insurance will put you out of business.

I grew up in a bordertown between Canada and the US and one thing I remember from when I was a child was that the US had such nice roads. This is back in the 1980s. We would buy our groceries across the river in International Falls, and many times went on vacations where we drove 'down south' through various states and back home to Ontario. In 1988 we drove to Minneapolis then flew to Orlando on our way to Walt Disney World.
As an adult I have been to Miami Beach - which was great for partying but dirty. We've been to Las Vegas which was sparkly and clean - but quickly running out of water. Just 2 years ago on our way back from Australia we had to stop over at LAX - which is the dirtiest airport I have ever been in. And outside of pandemic years we take a shortcut down through Minnesota on our way to visit family in my hometown in Northern Ontario. The roads that used to be so nice are now sh t. The US doesn't have the nicest roads anymore and I find it interesting that everybody just let it happen.
We are getting coerced, threatened, attacked, vilified, laughed at, lied to, propagandized, stolen from, and killed for $1.2 trillion. What a deal!

I just retired from driving truck after 45 years. I still had a few good years left in me but escalating nonsense, rules and laws pushed me out. My problem like many others that are old, we know what it used to be like and it's a million miles away from that today.

I think that anyone who selects their employee by their race or gender is the one discriminating.
