It was pretty obvious from her condition that she had been out there for a while. We were in a very remote location for the week and there was no one around and no one looking. Her collar looked very worn and old and did not have any sort of contact information. I had two choices in the moment: Leave her there to freeze or take her with me. I chose the latter.
