- WITHIN TEMPTATION are thrilled to unveil a new live DVD/Blu-ray/2CD. ‘Let Us Burn - Elements & Hydra Live In Concert’ is released on November 14 and features two of WITHIN TEMPTATION’s most talked about arena shows ever. The two dates are 2012’s resplendent 15th birthday ‘Elements’ concert and the final night of the ‘Hydra’ European arena tour at Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall in May 2014.
“Covered by Roses” was recorded live at the Heineken Music Hall, May 2014, the video showcases a mix of both shows and shows off Within Temptation fierce live reputation.

Funny, this one is going on the playlist I'm making for my wife for after my funeral. Wasn't available for our wedding 13yrs ago, but every time ahe hears Covered by Roses or Stairway to the Skies she'll probably bawl like a baby.

The more I watch this video, the more I think what a GREAT advertisement for WT this is! Shame they can't supply this to MTV and other outlets worldwide and get it out there for all to see just how AMAZING this woman/band is. I'm SO grateful to have discovered them, but I feel the rest of the world's missing out in a major way. Everyday I see and hear acts that have none of the divine talent that Sharon and WT have being fawned over and lauded. Makes me a bit mad actually, coz it seems an injustice that a gem like this isn't more widely known. Just an idea........

Videos like this are my favorites anymore. The montage of backstage footage, concert scenes, and shots of the crowd kind of take you along for the ride. GnR's Paradise City video is another of my favorites for that reason. But I have heard/seen nothing but good things about WT live and it makes me sad that they don't have a stronger following here in the US. They definitely deserve it and I would jump at the chance to see them.

It was so fun. Last year I did my English Literature exam and in poetry we were doing John Keats. The poem was 'Ode to Melancholy' and my mind was trying to get around some of the lines. I knew I had heard them before. "And be among her cloudy throphies hung" was killing me. I asked my teacher during the year if we had done the poem before but he said no. And then, right in the middle of the exam, it clicked. The damn poem was in the "Covered by Roses" song! So here's a fun fact: Within Temptation used a Keats poem in one of their songs.

Love this song. Love Sharon. The band is killing it! Great show in Salt Lake, Phoenix missed out. Wish I was a promoter you're beyond worthy of better venues. I'd seen you before in SF, first night probably a little jarring to step into the fog. New tour is next level. I'd recommend it to anyone, and am ready to go back (with better seats)!

That lead guitar solo at 4:06 is splendiferously bobbydazzling. As good as any classic rock lead guitar solo from any era and better than most. Quite took me by surprise and blew me head phones off. Should release that on its own.
Of course I agree with the points about why this extraordinary band (one of the best rock bands of all times) is not featured on major Western TV and media outlets. Its been repeated many times. Yes it's a bloody scandal and means the world is missing out. But hey - sod the world - and just count our lucky stars that we stumbled across them. Stars amongst stars. I am in awe of them - and as for her - there is no one to touch her.

Hey Gabriel I know how you feel I would love to see them live but they and many other bands like Tarja Epica Beyond The Black most of them all from Germany Finland and Netherlands and that is where they seem to play but when you live in the US it is hard to ever be able or get a chance to see any of them I live in Evansville Indiana and we mainly get country acts and I’m so not into it but maybe someday they will show up but in the circumstances I pretty much doubt it but we can still hope
