I only watched the first episode then hopped over to watch your reaction. I have lots to say. Love the opening fight scene. Thought everyone did a nice job in the show, especially Sokka. Can’t wait for the upcoming humor in the next episodes. Very happy with how things are going.
I ended up passing out last night before I could start my second session. My sleep schedule has been all over the place lately, and I guess it caught up with me. I can't wait to see what else the live action has in store!
Hello 😊It’s been awhile! I enjoyed it. Could it have been better? Definitely. It’s been quite some time since I watched the anime, so I’m sure I’ve missed things they’ve changed or removed from the episode, but overall, it gets from point A to point B well enough. Some of the acting is rough, but it I think it’s a common enough problem in pilot episodes. The second episode is better than the first I think as far as acting and pacing. It’s fun, and, as my hopes weren’t sky high, I think I’m going to enjoy it! I’ll be back for the next one!
Hey! It *has* been a while. Welcome back! I agree with you. Overall a solid effort with a few minor quibbles. I'm still not sure about the choice to start with the beginning of the war, but that's something I'll revisit when I see their whole vision for the season. I'm glad you're back for the ride!
Im enjoying the show. I actually didnt grow up watching the show. Although i did watch it before this came out. I thought it was good but, its very slow and childish and compared to other anime its not the best. I could've done with less episodes for the animation version. It felt like a bunch of side quests, that just dragged on. I appreciate that this version isnt as childish.
I agree there were a lot of side quests in the original. I didn't mind them, though, largely because they had the extra time for a little goofing off. And it's funny about the tone of the original because it goes back and forth between being *really* childish and almost *shockingly* mature. I think it hit its highest points when it balanced the two. I remember watching it with the bestie and agreeing it was probably the best thing US animation studios had produced for kids TV up to that point.
Watched only the first episode so far and I'm still on the fence. I think the actors are doing a decent job but this hasn't really hit its stride. Cautiously optimistic.
After the first two, I'll say I like it but I don't feel as hooked as I was by the animation. The first two together felt like they formed the introductory arc, though, so I'm expecting the rubber to hit the road in three-four. I meant to watch them last night but my sleep debt suddenly slammed into me.

Nice little dub over at the end there😁
:puff: Like, thanks, man! 😉
Seriously, though, thanks for watching all the way to the end. Those little jokes are for you MVPs!
