I dont think that Peter would be sidelined in Spiderman 3. I think and hope that we again get a Miles spinoff game wherein Miles will take care of the city while Peter works on his personal and professional life. Come the 3rd installment, Peter will return after taking a much needed break. The 3rd game, how it's shaping up to be, is very personal for Peter with Dock Ock and Goblin out for revenge. Cannot have Peter sit this one out
Yeah, Peter said he was only taking a break, it’s very clear that Spider-Man 3 will most likely have Miles start out solo, or with Cindy as Silk as his partner, then Norman and Otto attack and Pete comes back to help

I like miles being in the game. You get seasoned Parker and at the same time you get the young Spider-Man in miles. Fighting off world ending villains, and highschool/young teen coming of age drama problems.
I know for sure, there's no way Peter is gonna be relegated to a side character. I guarentee his role in Spider-Man 3 will be a little smaller, but still a sizable role. With all the Green Goblin build up and the carnage symbiote, he has to be playable in number 3. I mostly took the ending as Peter taking temporary leave to get his life outside Spider-Man in order.

I feel like the edge of time, the spectacular Spider-Man (normal + black), and the unlimited suits should be added to the game.
Those are some of my favorite suits ever and I believe they deserve some more love, especially the Edge of Time suit.

Im wondering how they plan on introducing Knull, they teased his existence in this universe multiple times in the game. The meteor, Miles suit, and Dr.Conors was researching where the symbiote came from in his secret lab. Im hoping a solo venom game will bring it to light.
I think it would be better to introduce cindy in SM 2 DLC and give her a stand alone game like Miles got, that way whenever SM 3 rolls around, every spider person got their own game to establish themselves before the big main title

Peter should have been the main spiderman, you are using HIS villans. Miles has no relationship with doctor octopus, green goblin, carnage possibly. This should have never been signed off on.

MJ taking down the Hunters is explained by the simple fact that when she and Peter left to Silver Sable country in the Miles Morales game MJ got training while there. So it isnt just MJ is OP cause she is a reporter. She has a Sable issued pistol and training to act. I wish they showed it better in game but they gave a reason for why she isnt as useless as last time.

MJ doesnt even look REMOTELY athletic...let alone having the physicality needed to take down people literallt called HUNTERS. You would think thay if you're being trained by someone your body would eventually start resembling theirs and Sable actually LOOKS like she physically adept...MJ...does NOT. It made sense for Comic MJ to be physically capable because her job decripstion there was Model/Actress...jobs that require you to be you to he IN SHAPE at the very LEAST. Not only that, but she also lived in the Avengers mansion and was trained by CAPTAIN AMERICA personally...but even then that didnt suddenly make her wanna go toe to toe with ARMED MERCENARIES💀🤦♂️
And then that so called training, which couldn't have been more than a couple months, allowing MJ to do what she does in game...just tells us that the Hunters are INFERIOR to the Sable Agents when the stakes are supposed to be HIGHER😭. They would literally only have to call in Sable and let her bring in a small Black Ops team and that would be ALL it would take to DECIMATE the hunters since Sable can turn some random civilian that never touched a weight or punching bag in their LIFE...into an UNSTOPPABLE MONSTER💀

They should do the "no suit" suit where you get to walk around without the spiderman suit on as both Miles and Peter. Or a mask toggle option in settings where you could remove the masks and have the main heads of them within the suits.
I don't mind them making Miles the main Spiderman, but I think its way too soon. I don't think he's anywhere near Peter's level to take on NY by himself. I agree with you, it felt like Peter was weaker in this one and it was forced that Miles was at his level. Also, with the way the ending was teased with Osborn, it would be a terrible idea to miss out on Peter going up against his true arch-nemesis. That should be the way they end him being the main Spiderman imo.

I think they’ll test the waters with another Miles spin off game and when that loses money Peter will suit back up as the main character of marvels Spider-Man 3. Hopefully this time though they won’t nerf him.

Somehow managed to make the game better so that’s nice.
Personally, I love what they’re doing with Miles. In the first game, he was just some dorky kid. In the DLC’s, we see him slowly figuring out how to be Spider-Man. In Miles Morales, he finally becomes Spider-Man. In this game, he proves himself to Peter. (Which I doubt will be sidelined in Spider-Man 3.) I think it’s a very natural progression for his character. Plus, I love Miles in these games! Spider-Verse Miles is great, but these game’s truly made me fall in love with the character. I get people like Peter, but I don’t understand where all the hate is coming from. The only thing that makes sense to hate on is the new suit. But I think Miles Morales was a great example of Miles growing as a character. They didn’t do that as much in this game, but that’s why it’s good that they’re making him the main spider-man, so we can see him grow, and maybe even be a mentor for Silk eventually.
If they do this same thing with Cindy it’ll be fire
Co-op would be awesome, and if we had multiple spiders to plays as like Peter, Miles, and Cindy at the least. Bonuses it we get Gwen, Miguel, and Ben the Peter Clone. Peter and Otto switch body's in a future spider-man game and Ben O'Reilly showed up as a side quest character or mai. Story character I'd be down to see how the player characters react it.
It won’t happen. At least not in this game. I can see why people keep bringing it up but it just won’t.
I hope we get something with daredevil or even the defenders. With the amount of easter eggs we got, about the hand, Rand corp., the nelson and murdock building (no longer having the plaque)

I experienced the cube for the first time yesterday. Required a full restart of the game to fix. 10/10 experience
I think they will have Miles Morales 2 and then Spiderman 3. One thing I do want to see is a DLC for Spider-Man 2 where we it’s based on being Young Peter Parker
I don't think that the next game would be Spiderman 3. There was a lot of buildup and character development in the previous two games prior that making Spiderman 3 the direct sequel feels rushed.
Personally, I think that the next game would be a Miles game with the same (maybe a bit smaller open world). In this game, you would fight a new threat while Miles would bond with Cindy and her father. This game would focus on the sibling relationship with Miles and Cindy since the villain could be an old friend of Cindy's with Miles focused on saving the villain in order to not repeat what happened with Phin. Suring the game, At the end of the game, Cindy would get her powers in a scene similar to the near end of the first game. Miles would reveal his identity to Cindy and would offer to train her. However, unlike Miles, who jumped at the opportunity to become Spiderman, Cindy would be more hesitant as she would be afraid of getting her father in danger. In DLC, we could see Cindy agree to train with Miles to better master her powers. Miles realizes that Cindy needs to find her own way rather than following his path. As a result, Miles does not pressure Cindy to become a spider-person and live her own life. Eventually, Cindy realizes the drive Miles has for saving people and is inspired to become Silk. The two would then portect New York with Miles being the senior member and Cindy being the rookie.
Eventually, we would get a Silk spinoff game where Miles might be injured or something and she would need to take over as the Spider-person under Peter's guidence (good chance to build up their relationship as well).
In the post credit scenes of both games, Norman and Otto would work on the G-serum with Norman offering to test it out on himself. In exchange for helping Norman, Otto is given the resources to build a new Sinister 6 (many of the pervious members are dead, and many potential members are reformed).
This would lead into the final game of the series, Spiderman 3, with Peter, Miles, and Cindy being playable. This would be a perfect contrast to Spiderman 2, when Peter and Miles were playable.
So, yeah. That's my prediction. I know it's long but let me know what you think.

Otto is a good manipulator so I could see goblin (gets manipulated for harry), mysterio (gets manipulated through trauma), sandman (gets manipulated for money), ock, and two other villians I'm not certain about.
I want both for the next game Peter and Miles.

Ok, all I’m saying, if Spider-Man 3 does have Norman become the Goblin, Peter HAS to come back then. Cuz if he finds out his identity like he usually does and kidnaps MJ or some shit, he’ll have no choice. And I personally really wanna be able to take on Goblin as Peter in the next game.
They never specified that the next Spider-Man game would be Spider-Man 3. I reckon Miles will be the main focus of another spinoff.

I really wish that in msm2 instead of have 1 mission be completely peter focused and the next being miles focused back and fourth that more missions were both pete and miles working together because one of the main reasons I was excited about the game was seeing pete & miles working together but we didn't really get as much of that as I would e hoped

I get there’s articles and they have stated he will be the main focus from now on but if you look at the ending on 2 Otto says the final chapter meaning the Spider-Man 3 will be the end of the first two games and like people have said it’s clear Norman will be goblin and more than likely the main villain for 3 i belive what’s going to happen is 3 will start off with just miles maybe couple missions then something happens which makes Pete dawn the suit one last time I know what around and being said but honestly I belive he’s gonna be as much apart of 3 as miles then they will end the 3rd game with Pete hopefully getting a happy ending finally retiring and then that’s when miles and possibly silk take over then whatever games come after that Spider-Man wise will be miles and silk it is sad because we will have only had Pete for 3 games by the end of 3 but it’s been a hell of a ride and looking forward to seeing how it ends just hoping Peter dosnt die in 3 trying to save miles

At least let us use the black powers when using any symbiote suite , everything changes color when wearing them , so why wouldn’t the anti-venom powers or ultimate ability also change?
About the first part yes MJ is a news reporter but she received intensive training from Sable when she visited their homeland. She even says it in a level. I believe the quote was "Looks like my training with sable paid off" but anyways good vid

I’ve been waiting for them to add the sensational suit since the 1st game since they already have the Scarlet Spider suit, especially since in Spider-Man 2 it was about Symbiotes so the Sensational suit could have had a Spider-Carnage variant or something like it. I actually prefer the sensational suit over the Scarlet Spider suit in my opinion.
I played that mj mission on spectacular I never died. I didn’t even know about the one shot thing :O I just played it very stealthy and slow to be safe.

The next game will be another miles title. Spider Man 3 will introduce Green Goblin, who’ll do something that’ll force Peter out of retirement. And i think carnage will be the main antagonist in the next miles game.
Insomniac knows that it would be incredibly stupid if peter isn’t the main focus of spider-man 3. were probably just gonna see miles morales 2 before spider-man 3.
The cube suit should be the reward suit for getting 100%.

The suit I want added back is Spider UK. I know that the chances are zero to nil but it looked great in SM1 and I have absolutely no connection to it from the comics. Something about the game design combined with the color ways and textures of the Spider UK suit just worked so well in my eyes.

What insomniac should do is a toggle feature of the symbiote moves. Meaning if you go to settings there will be a switch that could say "Symbiote moves" and if you turn it off you could get the standard moves back. I'm unsure if you still DO have them after you complete the story or not since I didn't get a chance to play.
Edit: For the wolverine game imagine we get some easter eggs, or a mention about Wade Wilson aka The iconic Merc with the Mouth.
Ultimate, Unlimited, and Spectacular suits will be perfect. Miles will probably get another spin off with Silk and then in SM3 we will have all 3 Spider-People and they will be fighting goblin. No way they'd sideline Peter for a Goblin story with Miles, it makes no sense, he literally has nothing to do with Osborn

For people saying no way Peter will be sidelined or a smaller character in 3- yes he will have to have an arc for Otto and Norman, but Insomniac themselves literally said Miles is their main Spiderman moving forward, hell be a smaller character compared to Miles in 3
Part of why Pete seemed kinda slow and nerfed is cause his guilt and grief was so high it messed with his senses. His “retirement” at the end is just so they can have a huge comeback moment where Miles gets in over his head. Spider-Man isn’t allowed to have a happy ending or put down his suit for good. He’ll be back and just as big a role in the next one. They also probably just wanted to make Miles stans happy for a bit

just a minor correction: neither of the advanced writer or the narrative director claimed miles was going to be the "main" spiderman moving forward, that was the interviewer who said it. They only said that they wanted the game to end with peter handing the reigns over to mile, with miles telling him to "go be peter parker for a while".
My guess is that there will either be a miles and cindy focused dlc or sequel game where peter takes a back seat, and the third game peter comes out of retirement to face Otto, Norman, and whoever else they introduce as a threat. To be fair though, this does mean retreading the plot of the first miles morales game where Pete goes with MJ to Symkaria and miles has to be the only spiderman for a while. It would be really weird if the third game wasn't focused on Pete with the Osborn and Otto tease at the end since miles doesn't have ANY relation to them, and they already did a vengeance plot with Li so I doubt the rumored Pete's death will be the bridge between miles and them.
Yet with all the people crying "woke" on the game for the stupidest reasons (like the mere inclusion of Hailey being a deaf black girl), I do fear the actual criticism to related topics, such as yet again the mj missions, miles new suit, or the rumor of pete getting written out of the future games, will just be clumped in with the close minded or bigoted attacks and ignored.
What I want is for in the 3rd game, miles tries to fight Green Goblin, and gets the crap beat out of him. Then, Peter has to come back to face Norman, and when Norman tries to kill Peter, Harry somehow gets in his way, sacrificing himself in the process. Then, Peter must face off against a completely deranged Goblin, his mind just gone, and that would be the final boss fight in the third game.
As soon as they patched the cube glitch, I suggested they add an official cube skin as a joke. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wants that.
Anyones who’s read 90’s Spider-Man knows the 3rd game will likely be similar to the Sensational Spider-Man run simply replacing Ben Reilly’s character with Miles. Miles will likely spend the first half to 2/3rds of the story as the main character with Peter returning to the fold when Miles cannot defeat Norman. Anyone annoyed by Peter being replaced due to him taking a break/retirement has never read the source material, it happens more than you think (hell even Bruce Wayne has been replace it a very common thing with comic book characters).
As far as suits goes i wanna see miles brand new enchanted vampire Hunter suit that just debut back in October

how sick would it be if like they did a 2nd MM wherehe trains cindy moon and has to fight carnage saves Cletus Cassidy but loses the symbiote and in spiderman 3 the red goblin story plays out. i’d pay for that game lol

i platinumed the game in like 30hrs and the only problem i had with the game was the insane amount of crashes. it unironically crashed more than new vegas (my ps5 system settings shows that it crashed 43 times)

At the end of the day here’s the facts. They’re teasing Norman becoming goblin and they’re bringing back Otto. If the writers make the villains focus on Miles it would be terrible and stupid. Their hatred is tied to Peter. If the story isn’t mostly about Peter and they want to fight miles it won’t make any freaking sense. If they made Spider-Man 3 Peters last big game and send off and then move forward with Miles I’d be satisfied. But they can’t sideline him now from a narrative standpoint it just wouldn’t make sense.

The next game will come out as a spin off mostly targetted to Miles tutoring Cindy while Peter is out somewhere doing his own thing. At the end of Spiderman 2, there was a part when Doc Ock was revealed in the end so it made me hypothesized that the Big Bad might be Doc Ock. It would make a really interesting dynamic because it will be between a new hero and an old villain. I wonder if Miles will go into stress because he often thinks of himself less that Peter so he would feel frightened to the villain that Peter once struggled to fight. I also wonder if there would be a relationship between Miles and Cindy because in the comics, Peter and Cindy has a massive relationship since both are bitten by the same spider, but it would be weird to see Cindy with the current Peter who showed his love for MJ. It would make sense to see the love triangle between Miles, Hailey and Cindy. According to the comics, CIndy got her powers by a forced science experiment, unlike Peter where he got it by accident.
Here is how the story would go, Norman releases Doc Ock from the jail. While they both hated each other, Norman and Doc Ock has hatred for Spiderman and creates a serum out of Mile's DNA. They somehow captured Cindy and gave them Spidey powers. Miles eventually rescued Cindy and taught her how to use her powers. Doc Ock was mad about Cindy and drank the Goblin formula to become the Octo-Goblin. Cindy and Miles, due to their history, fears Doc Ock but they eventually beat him. I want Cindy to gain her own type of superpower or gimmick, similarly to how Miles have electric powers and Pete have ant-venom powers. I was thinking more electronic type powers like robot arms but I am not sure exactly. At the end, Miles introduces Peter with Cindy and reveals she is spiderwoman. The settings would be both New York and Brooklyn, like Spiderman 2.
After the Spin off, there will be Spiderman 3 that features Peter, CIndy and Miles. It would be interesting to see the first part targetting Carnage and then the 2nd part targetting Green Goblin by Norman Osborne. Then somehow the Green Goblin got the Red symbiote to create the Red Goblin and even his own army of it with Goblin Serum and Carnage symbiote. I really want to see the return of Doc Ock helping Peter AND Cindy to show his redemption, like Martin Lee did for Miles. In the comics, Cindy fought goblin Nation and had to defeat her younger brother who was also a Goblin minion, so it would be a nice touch to see Cindy being devastated when she sees her brother as red goblin minion. It is a bit too early to theorize anything about Spiderman 3 but this is a good start.
I am still waiting for the spidercop suit but that spidercube is pretty awesome too.
Don't like the mary jane update where she doesn't get 1 hit killed from higher difficulty enemies so hope they go back on that.
We still need a spider cop skin. Also maybe we will get a cindy moon game like miles before the 3rd game
