no one can do a greater rendition than this. I listened to KZ Tandingan's and no one can capture the solitude and desolation told by Armi's voice. Especially when you know how as an artist she went through the worst points in life. You can sense it in her voice and the song.

I think it's more of prioritizing talent that's more "masa" over artists with a niche appeal. The audience dictates what should be on TV, etc. because that's where the money is. And so the people in charge follow that because they're scared of losing money. They'd rather not challenge audiences out of their comfort zones and show them something new.
Maraming magagaling dito satin, kaya lang people need to actually go out and see them live. Malakas ang indie scene ngayon, kahit saan palaging puno pag weekends. Sa mga gig din kayo usually makakabili ng CDs and merch. Honestly wala ng may pakialam sa mainstream machinery ngayon dahil sobrang accessible na nung technology to produce your own content.
UDD is one of the best OPM bands ever. Glad that I've known them before a contestant on The Voice kids sang one of their songs. Armi's vocals are amazing and I've been wanting to watch their gigs again..

I'm really into this style of music and my kuya recently introduced me to some OPM that fit my music taste. Kind of Obsessed. Haha They are soooo good! It kind of sucks how they aren't so hyped in the Philippines tho, they are too good.

Medyo nasira na rin ang image dahil sa tinatawag nilang P-Pop. Yung mga album din na nirerelease ng mga Pilipino actors and actresses (na kumanta lang for the money), nakasira sa image. I remembered the first time I Heard and watch UDD live way back 2007 UP Fair.
I'm really into this style of music and my kuya recently introduced me to some OPM that fit my music taste. Kind of Obsessed. Haha They are soooo good! It kind of sucks how they aren't so hyped in the Philippines tho, they are too good.

True. I was only 12 nung naadik ako sa mga kanta ng UDD. And until now certified listener to them. Sa tingin ko kasi ayaw lang nila masyadong maging sikat at ayaw din nila ng masyadong atensyon sa mga tao. Napaka-humble nila in short. Isa din sa mga rason kung bakit ko nagustuhan yung UDD.

May huge potential nga ang OPM music na maging famous and known globally, but sadly, piracy is everywhere. If most Filipinos know how to buy OPM music from iTunes, music stores and others; (and avoid pirating them), matutulungan ang Philippine music industry.
Medyo nasira na rin ang image dahil sa tinatawag nilang P-Pop. Yung mga album din na nirerelease ng mga Pilipino actors and actresses (na kumanta lang for the money), nakasira sa image. That's what I see.
Pano po naman ba kase,nakafocus yung media natin sa mga "Big" name na or may kapit lang kaya sumikat and kung parang katulad lang sa "1D at Kpop" yung support ng mga fans pati na din ng Industry natin edi sana ang ganda ng takbo ng OPM...oh and sa S.korea kasi binibigyan nila ng sobrang halaga yung mga Idols/Artist/music industry kaya ganun....
Still maganda pa din yung gantong klase ng OPM,may meaning at mafefeel mo talaga yung kanta di katulad ng mga "ibang" nagsilabasan ngayon...

Lahat ng kanta ng UDD tagos sa puso at kaluluwa, mapapaiyak ka na lang minsan habang nakikinig. They're not just great musicians but great poets and storytellers. And if I may add, Armi's voice is truly breathtaking, kahit live pang-record quality pa rin. And she's very beautiful. Unpretentious. Effortless. Eternal.
