And the color pattern of that bass, which they're now making available on some of the higher end ones, is called Ale's Inferno. She's more than just a Spector Artist; she's a featured artist.
I like the studio performance better than the EP or music video as well. And to add another degree of difficulty to Pau's drumming and singing in the first video is the fact they were in Mexico City (7350 ft). You can also see improvement from the first song when they were 18, 16, and 14 to the second when they were 21, 19, and 16. Abd there are even better songs to explore!
I really love these live studio sessions they put out and hope they continue to do so in the future. "Smashed it" they did. Kicking a$$ and takin names.
These girls' LOVE to perform live for their fans(us) and give it their all no matter what. The bass that Ale was playing in Dust to Dust was actually given to her by a European fan and he also gave her a white Rachel Bowen Spector as well that she used for other songs as it was tuned differently. In D2D Dany was playing a Spearfish that she was given by Rick Roone himself and she was in love with them for a couple years. then as you see in Evolve she was lured away to play the PRS you see her playing, and Ale wanted to change to a 5 string (I believe) so she wouldnt have to change guitars during shows, and again the same fan gave her a 5 string Spector to get used to playing until her custom 5 string came. so she had to kind of relearn their older songs. Pau has been drumming and singing since she was 11 years old and the first video we se of that is her singing lead was on Twisted Sister's song We're Not Gonna Take It.
Nice reaction! Keep in mind that the Dust to Dust performance was in Mexico City at an elevation of over 7200 feet. Very difficult to get enough air to sing and beat drums into submission at the same time. LOL These ladies are KILLER live!!!
I think they do a great job live and as I’m seeing them soon live, expecting that will be further validated. BTW, that 5-string Spector is the basis of Ale’s Spector signature bass - their youngest signature issue. Congrats, Ale! 🔥🤘 #NumberlyGarfs
Ale's 5 string is a US custom specific to Ale even the pickups and color design she picked. As for her signature bass it a 4 string not a 5, it was suppose to be out this year. At least I have never heard of it's release yet.
These was a really great reaction I just love watching the girls play live they sound really really good some bands as soon as they play their first song live you just wanna run out of there thinking I’m at the wrong concert but these ladies are phenomenal and thanks again for coming back to check out my favorite band in not just the world the universe cheers
They released a new version of “Choke” from this same studio session yesterday, 25th. Dec. 2021, and Ale’s bass sounds amazing on it, you should check it out.
A lot of us agree with you that the audio mix on this version of Evolve sounds better than the original studio version. Recommend Choke and Animosity live sessions from the same studio! 👍😎
For some reason, everyone likes to use the Lunario version of Dust to Dust, for me it's their Foro Didi concert that's the best one, don't get me wrong, Lunario has an awesome sound and very good video quality, But Foro Didi, I feel has better lighting and camera coverage, you owe it to yourself to give that one a watch. Now Evolve is just as good as the music video, this is Victoria Records in Monterrey, Mx and I just love the sound it produces, it really enhances the Warnings sound to a whole new level. I still can't seem to sit still listening to this one, it's epic.
I think I prefer this video, too, except that in the "Evolve" music video, the closeup of Dany's face when she sings, "Is it wrong or right..." is priceless!! Alejandra plays her custom Spector 5-string. She is a Spector Basses featured artist, since the age of 13. Paulina is a petite powerhouse, a diminutive dynamo! She may sit in the back behind a drum kit, but she will not go unnoticed!! Pretty nice reaction, man. I shall subscribe.
That five string bass Ale is playing is a custom, made by Spector Bass. Here is a short video they made when they brought the bass to her last year at the studio in New Jersey. ua-cam.com/video/lq6q5riGdbE/v-deo.html
Thanks for coming back and checking out the lives versions. TW is one of those bands that watching them live and seeing them perform makes the songs even better. Have a great holiday!
Don't forget the difference in age when comparing those two videos. They were 18, 16, and 13 iirc So the first performance is more than 'decent' don't you think? ;)
It was this performance of 'Evolve' that made me a big fan. I have been through their YT output and their improvement over the past few years (from a pretty decent starting point) has been phenomenal! And, given their youth, they are only going to get better! One of the other reasons I prefer this to the other recording ('Evolve') is that all the wiring has been tidied up from the floor. Much safer...
Dust to dust as well as many other songs from QOTMS tend to have that "grow on you effect." I think that's partly due to it being a concept album in which listening to more of the songs on it help you to connect to the other ones more.
There were no filters on Dany's vocals in this live session like there are in the studio version... The Warning performing live is where they truly shine!!!
It's even better in person, believe me :D Getting all the details in order to catch them live a couple of times in Europe in a couple of months, twice when they open for Muse and probably one or two times more when headlining ;)
Dust to Dust was the opener in that concert. I prefer those live studio sessions to the released recordings. They were done maybe 6 months after the initial recording, so that means 6 months more progression as musicians, but they are really good live (and I'm finally going to see them in February in Boston). About the bass being too low in the mix: that's been frustrating to me when I listen on my main sound system, since I have beefy subwoofer to go with good mains. They did a true live performance of Choke (2, actually) from their basement rehearsal studio that has much better bass and dynamics, which is both palpable and measurable (with a sound pressure meter).
the bass is a fully customized by spector. pickups , preamp , neck and ale designed the color . spector got a lot of requests for the color so they named it "ale's inferno" cause she wanted it to have black edging with burning coals , even the nect has no dots except for the warning lightning bolt on one fret
NOW IF WE COULD FULLY APPRECIATE THE REVOLUTIONARIES OF ROCK OF THE XXI CENTURY. THE WARNING, WITH THAT CLARITY OF SOUND THE PLEASURE OF LISTENING TO THEIR PERFORMANCE IS COMFORTING, VERY GOOD REACTION AND TO CONTINUE ENJOYING DANIELA GUITAR, PAULINA DRUMS AND ALEJANDRA BASS. THE VILLARREAL SISTERS PROUDLY MEXICAN. ¡¡VIVA THE WARNING 🤘👍⚡🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽!!
Great reaction! You might like this one better because it was done quite later than the music video and the recording, so they are much tighter. This recording was done at a studio in Monterrey. It seems that they know their business.
As many of TWA will agree, The Warning are always better seen performing live. I am so excited for their North American tour that I am flying in from England to catch 3 shows. Great reactions and I hope you may catch them live if they are playing near you.🤘
Absolutely. This is what you don’t see when it comes to musicians: the hours and hours and hours of practice required to make look natural and effortless.
That 5-string bass is a custom Spector. She's been a Spector Artist since she was 13, and they are producing a Signature Series bass in her name!
And the color pattern of that bass, which they're now making available on some of the higher end ones, is called Ale's Inferno. She's more than just a Spector Artist; she's a featured artist.
“Decent “ what TF. You in another musical planet . ..🤟TW. Will Rule..l.
Is important and amazing to remind us all that their ages at this concert (Dust to Dust song) were: Dani 18, Pau 16 and Ale just 13 !!!
That’s so crazy. Fair point!
I like the studio performance better than the EP or music video as well. Jaysus, yeah I'll bet altitude played a part there. Gosh.
@@SteveOGRock The Mexico City performance was two weeks before she became 14.
Ale was actually only 13 years old for the Lunario CDMX concert, as her 14th birthday came on Dec 13th (After the concert).
I bet Pau eventually runs for president of Mexico, and probably wins. She's a boss.
I would vote for her! The cartels and other criminals wouldn´t stand a chance! LOLOL
The only thing better than a reaction to TW by someone who knows music…is two!
Thanks Steve and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too Randy!

Lovely to have you here Randy! Much appreciated.
First time hearing the .. Warning ..
Great sound the vibe of the music is awesome ..

Stunning performance. This is where they are now. Amazing to think of where they're taking us into the future. Great reaction.

Plus I adore Pau's pigtails in the Music video.
I love them both and hope that they continue to put out both videos and live sessions of their key songs, time permitting of course.

The downside of music video recordings are the tendencies to over-produce them to the point of sterility.
