Great video Chris! I've been using 3X for a while and love it... except when it rains. My rain stick has Hero in it because it's more hydrophobic than 3X. I was thinking of trying Otter mesh in my rain stick. I have no doubt that 4X is going to be the best mesh out there on a nice sunny day. But, how do you feel the 4X compares to Otter and Hero when it gets wet?
HEY, mainly mesh . Type 5 is out! Could you please come back to give us a clear description between 4 and 5. Hope as is well. Can't wait to see you review
Hey Chris can you do a mark 2v pattern! I have had a mark 2v for about a year and have not been able to find a pattern that performs like the patterns you create. Thank you!
It shouldn't be significantly less durable. If you use our recommended bottom lace we really don't see many warranty claims submitted for mesh. Using that lace is probably a little more important with thinner Type 4, but it should be very similar to Type 3 in terms of durability.
Did I just hear you say type 4 has a 6 month warranty on mesh?? Does ECD hero 3.0 carry a warranty too? just this past summer training on my own, mainly wall ball sessions I've popped 2 sets of meshes all ECD hero 3.0 and if SK is the only one with a warranty, I'm gonna find myself switching to type 4x then so I at least can have it replaced once as I imagined that's what the warranty is just like with almost most shaft replacement with any company. Please let me know my man!!
Hey Chris, would you say that mesh (particularly, Hero, 2s, 2x, and 3x, because I own a piece of each) wears down over time and gets more slippery? If so, after how much use would you recommend changing out the mesh in a pocket?
It can, yes. Not because the material is wearing away but because the weave is settling and the fibers are stretching out. As far as how often you should change it, I really don't have a recommendation. In my experience, with good use my head will wear out before my mesh does, so I rarely restring an old head. In theory, though, type 4 should be the least slippery over time.
Can I ship my stallion 700 out to you guys with stringking 4s mesh and you guys could string and break it in as a mid high pocket with low medium whip that would be great
I'm not even going to read other people's comments before I say this. Do you realize that this videos sounds like a testosterone replacement commercial? If you didn't look and you just heard it you might question what it was for. I'm not trying to be juvenile I'm just pointing it out
Will it string the same as a type 3 pattern
Yes
Your head is just floating. 😱
Yeahhhh the whole point of the black shirt was to advertise our new pocket tees BUT I didn't have the pocket in frame...I'm a professional...
What head is that?

Yes! Old GoPro broke so I have a new one on the way and will be releasing a ton of patterns in January!

Great video! the giant head in the sky knows all 😂
Thanks for the review. Enjoyed the engineering/math analysis.

Review to the Mark 2 T
Love your vids man, hope the ACL is healing well Im in that boat too.
Almost back fully! Best of luck with your rehab!
Stringking came out and said type 4 is less durable than type 3. Also, you should do a video comparing hero2.0 vs type 4.
It shouldn't be significantly less durable. If you use our recommended bottom lace we really don't see many warranty claims submitted for mesh. Using that lace is probably a little more important with thinner Type 4, but it should be very similar to Type 3 in terms of durability.

It does have a 6 month warranty but technically "normal wear and tear" is not covered.
When are you going to make your own lacrosse head and or shaft???? :)
you need to do stringers shack G3 mesh
Can you review the Element Onset?

What do you mean by the mesh popping?
black shirt on black backdrop makes you look like a floating head lmao
Good vid but the black on Black is questionable
What is the pattern you used?
Great review.

How did you get the locking bolt on the dragonfly
joe kieffer string king released a tutorial for out mark 2 heads on non metal 2 shafts. Go check it out!
ECD Hero 2.0 or Stringking Type 4 for a faceoff head?
Good question, we'll have to see how the durability is in the long run.
Type 4f. Coming soon.
Is the durability less than the hero 2.0?
Most likely.
Dude the black t shirt was tripping me out the whole video
REVIEW THE NEW POWELL PIONEER!!!!!
review coming in January! They're pretty sweet!

Stringking type 4s or 4x is the semi hard the way to go with a semi low pocket?
For a lower pocket I would go with 4s for a smoother release. Otherwise things might get a little caught up.
Mainely Mesh I went with the 4x I think the semi hard was the best bet. If this does catch what can I do to solve it if that does happen?
Chase Ritter Then go for high pocket for 4X
Dang I really like low pockets and not too much whip, what do I do?
Mainely Mesh ?
what camera do you shoot with?
ahhh a floating head
Why aren't you doing big things for one of these big boy companies
I have one last trick up my sleeve...
I heard type 4s felt like broken in hero 1.0, care to confirm?
Couldn't disagree more.
4x is better than 4s change my mind
