I wouldn't say the most toxic, as there have been far worse parents on MSA. At LEAST they realized that they pushed both of their girls away and apologized for what they had done. Their hearts were in the right place, but they just went about it wrong.
Why do these stories always end with the parents ruining their kids childhoods and driving one daughter away but still just getting a “It’s okay” and a hug?!

Emily has no right to be mad at her. It’s the parents she should be mad at. Trish did nothing wrong cause she didn’t think Josh and Emily were dating
@@beckykennedy6886 Jealous and angry, but you can't really blame her. It's rough watching your dreams being lived by someone who didn't want them or appreciate them the same way you do. And it's rougher when your parents seem to be ignoring your feelings. And the icing on the cake was that the guy she liked turned out to be interested in the very person who was given your dream. Don't misunderstand, I'm not making Trish the bad guy at all. She probably spent more than enough time thinking that she was her parents favorite kid, and then recieved the shock of her life when they were actively detering her from her dream of being a fashion designer. And neither she nor the guy meant to hurt Emily by dating, neither knew that he had sent her mixed signals. It was just nice to see them reconcile before it was too late.
Turns out, the life Emily made for herself was even much better than the dream she had. That's one good thing that came out of her parent's over-protectiveness.
The twists are the best here in this story! By telling it from Emily's eyes, we get to see that Trish really cared about her, how awful her parents are with favoratism and how self-centered Emily eventually has become by the time she realized it and that her sister was not as nasty or evil as she pictured her to be. And finally, the family reconciled at the end of the story. And if it is possible, a sequel spin-off featuring Trish as a protagonist is definitely something that I think should happen because seeing her becoming a fashion model and finding love in a middle of this venture will be great to see!
I loved when the horse clapped for Emily. Parents should never play favorites. They also need to listen to their children. Children should follow their dreams, not their parents’. Trish wasn’t a bad sister, but she should have stood up to her parents sooner, like Emily did.
I think Emily was right about her parents not giving her much attention as Trish had but if they would’ve just had confidence in her instead of rejecting her choice they should’ve just reason with her and not because of her age, just like they should’ve listen to Trish about letting her follow her dream of what she likes but I’m glad that they were willing to understand that you shouldn’t make choices for your kids by treating them equally
I know not many people would agree with this but, i feel very bad for Trish. I was on emily's side until trish started crying at the end. Shes the good person with not so understanding sister when u hear her pov of the story. I do feel bad for emily, but trish never made her feel like shit, it was all their parents fault, that Emily felt so competitive towards her sister and felt like 'she took everything from her' and lived like a queen when in reality Trish was suffering just like Emily. And Emily shouldn't have jumped into conclusions about her sister like that.. And they shouldn't have forgived their parents at the end too.
So at the end... like always MSA had given a beautiful moral to " listen and follow your dream" and it touches rapidly to my heart way quicker than a wholesome lecture can 🦋!
