You make the triangles so effortlessly with your hands 🙌 I’ve also seen the triangle press being used but they’re too big. I think your size onigiri is perfect ! 🤩

You really got me hungry, I’m trying to fast until dinner today 😭 I think this is such a great lunchbox item for kids and picnics! I think I will make these for our next picnic 😂

Just want to point out that neither Nishiki nor Botan are traditional Japanese sushi rice. They are hybrid or so-called medium grain Calrose rice. I find them fine for making onigiri 🍙 but traditional short grain is even better. Even in my small city Asian market I can find Japanese American grown short grain.

I had my first pickled plum onigiri a few weeks ago!!! It was so sour x'D Onigiri is such a amazing and satisfying way to eat a few ingredients together :) the crispy outside of your recipe definitely takes onigiri to a new level 😁 but anything really crispy is an enhancement to flavor and texture!

The grilling part looks hard because I think your right it would just turn into fried rice 🍚 Which I also wouldn’t complain about just toss in some egg scramble and your good to go 🙆‍♀️😀🍍🍚

Yo I was craving onigiri so this video came at the perfect time 🍙 I had onigiri in Japan 711 it was so good they had seaweed around it that you could remove on the spot so it wouldn’t get soggy

I'm trying to make this right now (medium sushi rice) and sadly the balls keep falling apart when I was squashing them into triangles (and a lot of rice falling off) and its falling apart in the pan :( I kept my hands and the surface wet too

Maximum ONIGIRI! Why does that sound like one of those silly Japanese game shows? Lol There's been some canned tuna sitting in the cupboard. Now I have an idea of what to make with them. 😄 Easy fix. Birds aren't real. Lol

Instead of the fatty mayonaise, you can use cream cheese.
