Acnologia was truly HIM. His name ALONE had characters shaking in their boots, he forced the main Fairy Tail members in the a 7 year timeskip, every time he made an appearance he dunked on Fairy Tail then left, killed the mc’s dad right in front of him, and was just an unstoppable force of nature all throughout the final arc. And he even has a solid backstory in the anime. I truly don’t know if Mashima will ever write a another villain with as much brutality and Black Air Force energy as Acnologia again 😭
Acnologia had the Broly effect. Mashima introduced a superly overpowered enemy - then made him even more overpowered- and is the result we have now. He probably just ran out of things to keep acno at bay and stuff for Jellal to do.

Something to keep in mind, this was on Tenrou Island, Fairy Tail's homebase. The Tenrou Tree not only buffed everyone in Fairy Tail's magic power but also would protect them from dying, and Acnologia still took no damage from their attacks and could've killed them all even with the protection tree.
One of the Best thing about Acnologia was : Before his actual appearance, Zeref ( The Legendary Black Wizard ) was afraid & got angry enough to kill Hade because his actions has summoned Acnologia. Showing us that there is some greater Threat even Zeref ( The Legendary Black Wizard ) thought better to not mess with. But after Acnologia apperance he proved why he was to be feared & proved he could End an Era just as Zeref said . Like if you agree 👍
The fact that, even in a 100 year quest, Acnologia is STILL seen as the pinnacle of power to the point where the characters would STILL lose despite all the power ups they’ve gotten goes to how BUSTED this guy was and why he did truly deserve the girl of dragon king
Honestly. Acnologias reveal was perfect in my eyes. Shows up many arcs before he becomes the big bad evil guy. Just wrecks everyones proverbial ish. Then leads you to believe that everyone was dead for over 7 years. From that moment, i absolutely loved him. Then the guy is so powerful, he ignored a Time Rift so hard that he absorbed its power to make himself even more powerful than he already was. That rift should have erased him from existence, should have made him just vanish from everyones memories. And he just pulled out an Uno Reverse card and goes. NOPE. I LOVE Acnologia.
God, I loved how Acnologia was just a pure force of nature every time he showed up. While that last minute backstory at the end of the series sorta ruined him a little, he's still my favorite villain in Fairy Tail.
To be honest, Mashima-sensei should have made Zeref and Acnologia into one character. I mean, Zeref's family was killed by a dragon, yet he didn't try to avenge them. Acnologia's backstory feels very similiar to Zeref, the difference is that Acnologia seeked revenge against dragons. Acnologia, a normal doctor from a hidden land, somehow managed to achieve the most op dragon slayer magic in the world while the magic genius Zeref couldn't. Both of them also associate with black color. Black Dragon and Black Mage. It feels like they were initially one character that was split into two as the story progressed. Zeref should have been the one inventing dragon slayer magic, not Irene. His enchantment skill is equal, if not superior to Irene. Also, with his genius mind, i'm sure that Zeref would have taken into account the negative side effects of Dragon Slayer magic when he created it, something that Irene realized when it was already too late. If Zeref had gone Acnologia route, he could have become an even greater monster than the doctor has ever been. Remember, Acnologia was corrupted by his powerful dragon slayer magic and became a genocial maniac. Even after turning into a dragon, he was still affected by motion sickness. He also can't regenerate his left arm or reattact it even though he has healing magic and immense magic power. A genius like Zeref would be able to circumvent all those problems.
The problem i have with acnologia and villians like him is that they are made so op that they get defeated in a really stupid way. I always want to see the protagonist actually have a chance against the villain in an all out fight. That will keep me hungering for more. Bleach pulled the same shit with yhach. BORING

The other anime you mentioned were at least older, those reveals are done much earlier and their anime adaptions have actually covered them all. And the fact you mention it here shows you must think it was an awesome thing to watch unfold... so I don't know why you'd ruin that experience for other people. A warning about spoilers would've been nice, perhaps with a time stamp for where to skip to so we can safely watch the rest of your video.
