How To Check Playtime on Oculus (Check Hours on Oculus Quest)

- In today's quick tutorial I talk about how to check playtime on Oculus as well as how to check hours on Oculus and finally checking hours played on Oculus Quest.
Meta has made it a little challenging to locate the hours played on your Oculus. In this video, I show you how to access the Move app in your Oculus, select history and then see hours played per game or per app that are installed on your Oculus headset.
For several reasons, there may be times you wish to check just how much time you are playing specific games or apps on your Oculus Meta Quest headset. These steps work for both the Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets.

i’ve been playing beatsaber for a few years- wanted to check my total hours. went into the move app following this guide but it seems like it either wasn’t set up or tracking. it asked me to input weigh, height and all that and i guess starting now it’ll be tracking time. is there any other way to check hours without this app?
I'm not sure what other app tracks hours. Did you reset you account or upgrade to a new headset at all?

Sucks that I never opened this app before. I’ve also had to replace my quest like 4 different times so none of that data seems like it would have saved anyways. Will know my play time for now on though

4 different quests? At some point it'll be cheaper to buy a pc and a vr 😂
Wrong. it just tracks the time you actually burnt calories.
Are you sure? Don't all VR games track calories as you are moving your body?

@@JMGENTERPRISES yeah, but like i said, that playtime is the time in which you were burning calories. Everytime you just push buttons on your Controller it won't add to your playtime.
Best way to get your actual time, is to use the Pro-Version of the Quest Games Optimizer. Even though it got some problems with that still. On a few games it keep's adding playtime even when you're not playing.

Those are MOVE minutes. Not actual playtime. Try setting it idle for an hour, it wont track anything.
Does this track over multiple headsets
Good question. I am not sure. My stats didn't carry over when I upgraded to my Quest 3 though even though it's the same account.
Okay, I have never opened the move app until now but its acted like its been tracking everything. What do I do?
I used to be a Quest 2 player, but just switched over to quest 3 on christmas. My family reset my quest 2 when I got my quest 3, so I can't check the Quest 2. I don't know what to do, I just want to see my playtime hours, someone please help.
My old stats from my quest 2 didn't transfer when I switch to the quest 3 even though it's the same account. I think it may just start over with the new headset.

Never opened the app and it doesnt show me anything before today
Hmmm. Maybe you have to enable it somehow or allow permission?

Assuming you even use native apps and don't just use a pc
Does it not work if you are synced to a PC? I never play via PC
@@JMGENTERPRISES It would just show the total time synced to PC not the games you're playing. If you use steam you can probably do something similar though
