I didn’t really watch Glee, but I’m familiar with all of the comments made by her cast mates about how difficult she is to work with. This video explains a lot. My daughter did professional musical theater as a child, but did not continue it into her teens because she lost her confidence. There is such a fine line between instilling confidence and creating an egotist. And honestly, if you’re going to succeed in this business, you need to be a little bit in love with yourself. Some are just better at maintaining a modest front. It seems like Lea was told at a very young age that she’s wonderful, spent a lot of time with adults, and missed some of the interaction with peers critical to forming healthy social skills. Some kids can handle it and some can’t. In a way I feel sorry for her.
I mean she is very articulate and insanely confident for a 12 year old. She talks like a little adult. I was not at all like that at her age... that being said, seeing at her moms expressions, I can tell her mother thought it was cute and probably just a phase. Sadly this attitude followed her into adulthood

She seems exactly the same!! Who was a really cute little girl with sass as well, but looked very different as an adult, was Naya Rivera. She was the smarmy little 4 year old on Red Fox's last TV show.
@MIAthing yeah she says in an interview that at this kind of age she really was rachel berry but she's said she mellowed out a lot as she grew up. plus ryan murphy met with Lea as Glee was just an idea and said she should have the part. she still auditioned but Ryan really intended the part to go to her
