The reason you think that is because more successful robbers and scammers want you to think it's the truth. Maybe 100+ years ago they were top of food chain, but now they are just a useful scapegoat to keep the heat off the real power brokers that control the world today.

The dude who won the fifty thousand on the craps table was likely using a method called "dice control". It's where you use physics to throw the dice a certain way minimizing your chances of crapping out and increasing your chances of getting a certain number. There's a whole book about it. In fact there are several books. The method is super hard to learn and master though.

If a person already has a steady successful mining operation that's producing hundreds of pounds of gold and diamonds with warehouses full of both gold and unrefined diamonds, and then seeing 100 million dollars of gold in front of his own eyes, WHY, I literally mean, WHY would anybody want another person to invest in their company???!?!! They are clearly not in any debt with the amount of money they are claiming they have in gold and diamonds and do not need anyone to help pay for the shipping and permits to get it to the USA. That's hilarious!! And not as smart as the investor who was scammed is saying it was. Not everyone would fall for it. He was just really greedy and wanted to convince himself it was a really smart scam and wanted the extremely quick return. come on now, think about it now. Why would someone with that amount of money in assets need help paying for shipping and unrefined diamonds? They could've just sold some of the gold or diamonds and would've had the money for the shipping.

Their was an article in Maxim magazine back in the day about Sadams Iraq heist. American Solders patrolling a road in iraq came across abandoned (like sheds huts or) small storage buildings that had unusually strong security measures. Like borded up windows and doorways closed with cinder blocks. (I dont remember if the article contained pics of the actual properties. They were probably just similar buildings because the area was a war zone) But being curious the soldiers attempted to get in the buildings. I believe they failed and then returned with tools. A few guys gave up again and just sat on the curb hot and exhausted but a few soldiers were dedicated on making entry and finally got in. Inside they found neatly stacked suitcases containing American currency stacked shoulder high in the middle of the room. Their was evidently more lil buildings just like this one located randomly all over the area. I heard one soldier got cash out & was mailing it home to his wife, a lil at a time. Another soldier hid a few suitcases of cash near a creek just behind the building. The formal story is that a higher ranking soldier drove down the road the other way, recognized what was going on. Immediately secured the building, turned in the troops & everything was recovered. The story was being told "anonymously" by the soldier that hid cash near the water. Which no one was looking for because no one knew how much was there or missing. But during some point in the investigation the water got incredibly low and the corner of one glistening silver suitcase was shining like a diamond off the bright sun. The officer that was responsible for helping to clean this mess up, eventually spotted it and was immediately quoted as saying
    *"you little stupid mutherfucQrs"*
🤣🤔🤣 who knows though? The military (very proudly) dont tell the American public shyt about their operations. So I'm sure parts of the article were altered, purposely misleading or just straight up lies. 🤣 that's also the best I can remember about an article I read in a magazine back in the 90's or early 2k's. But I did always believe the discovery of all that cash was true. Magazines, newspapers and the TV news was plagued with all the lavish stuff we found that sadam allegedly owned at that time. Solid Golden toilets, Brand new playstations (that were difficult to get here). Platinum & diamond AK47'S, mansions, foreign cars, stacks of cash from every country, art that had gone missing decades ago, luxury wines, exotic animals and and excessive amounts of just about everything. Except for the one thing we were there looking for... Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Didnt find not one of them. I was always very surprised that a story wasn't made up to falsely place one in that country. We were wrong af about that and we atleast... kept it all the way real.

As a former street criminal, meaning not tech or corp crimes, I see some of these schemes and think, "Damn, after all that money and energy put into a lick and it still backfires... That's gotta be devastating," .... Then I think, maybe I'm missing the point? Probably not to sympathize with the crooks and googling basic structures of these scams to see if any are viable.
Fuck it, I hustle til it hurts.

I can see why folks were duped by that second guy, Kuoh. Having a mine and gold that passed the test would come off as legit in the eyes of many. That's one scam where I can understand how anyone could've fallen for it; especially when you consider that the investors didn't just go strictly off of word of mouth.

@@neilgibbons2532 true. When cats start moving funny, one has to start making assessments on why that's happening and, from there, start making moves to protect oneself. As for the initial part of the scam, I definitely can see why folks fell for the con but staying after the guy you're working with is moving funny shows that you've gotten too relaxed.

We seem to forget that the creator of all things was born in a major a manger and he wrote into the City on a donkey fed the poor and healed the sick and I'm amazed how people just get Duke to giving away their money for free dad God wants to see you live a better life but doesn't he say money is the root of all evil and we still give it away to somebody that lives a better lifestyle than we do on our own I don't feel sorry for the people that are given I feel sorry for the poor people that are taking it because someday they will be held accountable for lying to the people and saying they're going to be saved if they give today and they'll receive something tomorrow let's not forget he came to serve the world not be served I wish that we open our eyes someday to see the life isn't all about riches sometimes it's better to give than receive and these people's lifestyle seems to just want to be on the receiving end thank you and goodbye
