outliers and hyppocrates is fine, in my opinion BlackBoxWarriors is... well, bad (worst part of the song for me) The best part of Suburbia Overture is the last one, the "Do you know the difference [...]"
for dr sunshine i would have definitely gone with the “i’ll trade in vision for a practiced intuition” and the chorus that follows. the instrumental break is just so perfect
0:00 - BlackBoxWarrior OKULTRA 0:16 - Love, Me Normally 0:42 - Suburbia Overture / Greetings from Mary Bell Township! / (Vampire) Culture / Love me, Normally 1:02 - ...well, better than the alternatives 1:14 - I/Me/Myself 1:37 - Outliers and Hyppocrates: a fun fact about apples 1:54 - Marsha, thankk you for the dialectics but i need you to leave 2:04 - 2econd 2ight 2eer (that was fun, goodbye.) 2:30 - Momento Mori 2:45 - Laplace's angel (hurt people? hurt people!) 2:58 - When Somebody needs you 3:16 - Venetian blind man 3:38 - Yes, to err is to human, so dont be one 3:54 - Your body, My temple 4:22 - Half-Decade Hangover 4:45 - Thats Enough, Lets get you home 5:03 - Um, its Kind of a lot 5:19 - Vampire refrence in a minor key 5:37 - Falling up 5:58 - Willard! 6:16 - Euthanasia 6:41- White noise 6:56 - Becoming the last names 7:07 - Sex, Drugs, Rock n Roll 7:26 - Against the kitchen floor 8:00 - Tomcat disposables 8:22 - Cicada Days 8:38 - The Main Character 8:57 - Ferryman 9:14 - White Knuckle Jerk (Where do you get off?) 9:37 - Red Moon 9:53 - Thermodynamic Lawyer Esq, G.F.D 10:20 - Lysgeride Daydream 10:35 - The First Step 10:47 - Chemical Overreaction/Compound Fracture 11:05 - Cover this song (A little bit mine) 11:17 - Jimmy mushrooms last drink: bedtime in wayne, nj 11:34 - Front street 11:57 - Everything is a Lot 12:09 - !Aikido! For Laplace’s Angel, I’d personally choose “So if you wash your hands of where you've been until you flood the second floor Neatly fold your skeletons but still can't shut the closet door The only ones in need of love are those who don't receive enough So evil ones should get a little more” It just scratches my brain in such a nice way
Agree on most, but personally I would’ve picked the huge spatial wind up followed by the over the top “THIS ISSSSS NOT ENOUGHHHHHH” with the cool synths for hand me my shovel
imo the best part of mr capgras encounters a secondhand vanity is the part at the end where it brings back the chorus of hand me my shovel i’m going in in the background. absolute banger
On Suburbia Overture, the "SUBURBIAAAAAAAA-AHAHAAAAAAH!!!! WHERE YOU BELOOOOOOO~OOONG!!!! THE LIGHTS ARE OOOO~OOOON!!!!! BUT NO ONE'S HOME~ [[So welcome home...]]" part is also one of the best parts of the song. And in Laplace's Angel, the "LAH-LAH-LAH!!! LA-LA-LA-LA-LAH!!!" part is the best part. The transition on Self-Ish is awesome!!! For Song With Five Names, the digging dirt part is the best.
“Hold my hands, well dance the 12-step on my grave. I’d kill the man I am for one more chance to be yours babe. No I ain’t begging I’m just saying “it’s an option” don’t let the latest be the last nail in the coffin” is the best part of vampire reference imo because it flows SO well with the “I’m just saying it’s an option” part and the references are really funny.
The best part of 'Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll' for me is "I hate to be that guy but I'm not that guy anymore and I made gOD dAmn SURE he's dead. And I would dance on his grave but the music that I play seems to say tAke ME instead." Saddest sh!t I ever heard.
Sorry but the best part of the first one is “A BLOODY KNIFE TO SPLIT YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE, wind your every motor function, coital machinations of the dead”
i like whenever will does *that* thing with his voice. aka that moment when the insanity kicks into the song. which is,,, unfortunately only in a few of these clips. oops?
the main characte's best part is definetly the pre chorus that starts with judge me by what my cover shows, and the song with five names' is gimme that old time religion section
Personally I feel like all of 2econd 2ight 2eer is the best part of the song. The entire song makes me just want to bang my head! It also contains my favorite WW quote ("The devil made me do it, but I also kinda wanted to") but at the same time how he say "hallucinations and lucid dreams" is just 😔👌 Edit: lately I've been listening to BBW WAYYY too much (new favorite will song) and the way his voice flourishes when he says "Well, he was wearing stolen rubber shoes and wrapped a poison ivy noose" is one of my favorite parts in a song period! I love his vocal patterns so much and as a fan of swing music and indie music, he feel he's got this flair that just makes me want to 😵❤/pos Edit Edit: The song with five names my favorite now. l love it when he say "אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה" (totally didn't copy that from Google 👀) and the entire part where he spirals into "give me that old time religion), my new second is Cotard's Solution, which the entire song is a banger (and apparently will's ACTUAL least favorite to play) and surprisingly third goes to Outliers and Hyppocrites! For it being on the normal album, a lot of people (including me at first) apparently skipped over it! I accidentally listened to it the other day and realised it's a banger! (Also chemical overreaction is so freaking good lol)
imo the best part of “well better than the alternative” is the “WHATS SO WRONG ABOUT WHATS WRONG WITH ME? I JUST WANNA DO WHAT’S RIGHT BY YOU” at the end
I get goosebumps whenever i listen to Willard! because it just describes me down to the core, being pushed around, neglected, hated, abused and treated like something non human to the point where you dont feel human and just the path to accepting the fact that no, i will never be “human” in the way that neurotypical people are. The song just makes all my pent up anger, past trauma, neurodivergency and therianthrophy seem understood in a way? The song is such a comfort to me and makes me feel at home and that its okay to be “animalistic” and “agressive” when i need it. Its like the song helps me be myself. Thank you will wood
Here go my complains: In Suburbia Overture, the best part is defineteley the return to Will's normal voice in "To proove you've got blood" ...Well, better than the alternatives is the key change. Undisputed When somebody needs you is the chord descent next to the part where it's cut off The bridge in Vampire Reference is more deserved than the knocking Willard's best part is the whole final chorus. It uses my favorite Will Wood trope (descending chords), and it pays homage to the beggining of the song and the album. Ferryman is kinda cheaty, as it's not a Will song, and you chose his specific verse Dr. Sunshine is the ending. The callback to Cotard's solution is great.
Me personally I think that the best part of Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In! is the part where it goes "My name was soiled by a last call spill with a backwash swill and the blackout killed me Sober on impact from a fall from grace", along with the whole "take the road on higher ground" part
underrated opinion! the start of marsha thankk you for the dialectics, but i need you to leave is so underrated, and is such a banger, like just that part of instrumental is so good its sad it doesn't play again in the song
i wish you kept going a little bit longer in Marsha (etc.) bc i sing my damn heart out on “back in the days of laBOtoMY and SHOCK THERAPY AND MAD SCIENTISTS”
The part for Red Moon not being “I walk the equator, chasing the light, little do I know it orbits close behind, I might remember or might assume, but I only turn around every once in a red, red moon” is criminal to me
For me the best part of 6up 5oh is "Flies on my eyeballs Scabs on my elbows, Heaven knows god's sittin' up there like 'Hell no!'" because the flow on that part is so fucking good
for the willard part it shouldve been "ive never understood what humans do and want its quite confusing to me to try to connect never learned how i should feel instincts somehow stunted just seen haunted by my stupid urge to protect until frustration makes me with my teeth were sharp as yours chew threw their garage doors these carnivores will no more use my heart"
0:05 Im a monologue enjoyer, especially "As it were holding a mirror up to your mirror" 0:23 Agreed, banger bridge 0:43 Disagree, the main part of Love Me, Normally. Its really fun to play on piano 1:07 Personally i love the alternate chorus at the end, as well as all the prechoruses 1:16 Yes! Amazing chorus 1:38 I prefer the second prechorus, the lyrics are more meaningful to me 1:53 I think the bridge is the best part, the saxophone is amazing 2:08 Sure, no strong opinions on this one 2:30 Yeah! Great instrumental 2:48 Im incredibly opinated on this, i think its best from Right after the bridge to the end 3:08 Sure! 3:17 I actually havent heard this one 3:39 Same as before, i quite like it though 3:54 Same as before, pretty good 4:24 Yeah! 4:46 Yes! 5:20 Sure 5:36 Sure 5:59 Yes 6:16 Yes yes yes, the backing sounds are amazing and etheral 6:43 This song is so funky 6:57 I think i like the main chorus better 7:15 Yess 7:27 YEAHHH, though i am a huge fan of the second verse 8:00 I actually like the "Spring bloomed in the kitchen again" however this works too 8:29 I swear i heard this somewhere not knowing it was Will Wood 8:39 Second verse enjoyer, however i do say i like that final chrous
I’m surprised you didn’t put the end of chemical overreaction as the best part because that part is literally my favorite part of any will wood song it’s SO good
omg the most hot take (just recently started getting into WW’s stuff and this is just my fave so far), in love me, normally, the part where he goes “with question marks or dot dot dot-“ that shit makes my brain fucking CRAZZYYY the way his voice sounds there is just shrsjjfjgjketjjent 10/10 would recommend
Marsha was done dirty. Cut off Right before the shock therapy part which is the best part!!! Also the lyrics in becoming the last names “so now we’re kissing before brushing, smile with our whole faces, if you want a hyphen last name I guess I don’t mind the cadence” gets me every time 😭 even when I was writing it!!!! Also all of cotards solution is a banger but the part right before the final chorus where it does the cool like in and out thing (idk how to describe it) is so cool!!! Also the end of it with the screams. Also with Laplaces angel “it doesn’t take a killer to murder. It only takes a reason to kill” part is great too. Well better than the alternative “everybody knows that, nobody knows that everybody’s all up in my motherf**king business” to the end is 🤌 Bones should be that last bridge and beyond. All opinions are valid but we can all agree on against the kitchen floor no problem 😂
"AHHHHH! Step right up folks and get yourself a big, meaty fill of some of the most noxious, toxic, obnoxious, disgusting $h!t around! How vile can you be?" In Front Street is far better but it's fine, I like that part too. . .
personally, my absoloute favorite part of mr. capgras is when he says "eulogy or biography" and "so my god whats wrong with me" that entire part gives me goosebumps everytime
I remember when I first found this video when I first found out about Will wood but only listened to Bones and that was the only part of the video I watched
NOOO for “well, better than the alternative “ it should be the “WHATS SO WRONG ABOUT WHATS WRONG WITH ME , IM JUST TRYNA DO WHATS RUGHT BY YOU WHATS SO WRING ABOUT WHATS WRONG WITH ME OH IM JUST TRYNA DO WHATS RIGHT BY YOU “ that part is arguably the best
ALSO in skeleton appreciation day “all nightmares start as dreams, All love starts as it seems, give me all your LSD so I can feel my mind unweave again(so I can have a psychic daughter idkeither one)” and “Ana stands and rends her rancid meat from her bones bones bones” (idk if that’s right
this video is great but i think "I'll be here singing 'til our heartbeats might slip back into that rhythm again" should be the best part of A Little Bit Mine
Might remake this cuz I forgot The Stereosexuals, A Verbal Equinox, and Wealth & Hellness.

outliers and hyppocrates is fine, in my opinion
BlackBoxWarriors is... well, bad (worst part of the song for me)
The best part of Suburbia Overture is the last one, the "Do you know the difference [...]"
for dr sunshine i would have definitely gone with the “i’ll trade in vision for a practiced intuition” and the chorus that follows. the instrumental break is just so perfect
In the first step i kind of perfer the "im going down then im taking you with me" part or the instrumental part in the middle

Mr. Capgras is underrated
Agreed
TSW5N too

14:39 - Mr Capgras Encounters a secondhand vanity
14:46 - Hand me my shovel, im going in!
15:01 - Dr. Sunshine is Dead
You have done God's work, thank you.
For Laplace’s Angel, I’d personally choose
“So if you wash your hands of where you've been until you flood the second floor
Neatly fold your skeletons but still can't shut the closet door
The only ones in need of love are those who don't receive enough
So evil ones should get a little more”
It just scratches my brain in such a nice way
Yesss my favorite too
Omg hand me my shovel HAS to be "bottle well or barrel, all are empty, dug or drink or poured it out" that whole section is amazing
And I would dance on his grave but the music that I play seems to say tAke ME instead." Saddest sh!t I ever heard.
for chemical overreaction i really like the end part where it goes “wretch and pule this panoramic stretched out view is fat with panic”
fun fact that bit is the exact same chord progression as the chorus for bones
@@LizordSword thats one of the reasons i love it! its great
Sorry but the best part of the first one is “A BLOODY KNIFE TO SPLIT YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE, wind your every motor function, coital machinations of the dead”
This is the best way to introduce someone to Will Wood
i like whenever will does *that* thing with his voice.
aka that moment when the insanity kicks into the song.
which is,,, unfortunately only in a few of these clips. oops?
Uhh… time stamp maybe please?
What thing
@@christianrogers8297 uhhhh best ones i can give is 2:40 and 4:51 i think.. i don't know, im not great with timestamps ;")
@@Ariste_ I guess a better way to describe it is when he strains his voice,, or something
@@shadowsoftheinfinite Oh now I see. Yeah those are amazing makes me wanna close my eyes and just FEEL the song.
but consider: the part of dr sunshine is dead where hes screaming "i will be my sunshine, i will be my moon at night"
Nice to see ferryman appreciation
the main characte's best part is definetly the pre chorus that starts with judge me by what my cover shows, and the song with five names' is gimme that old time religion section
Personally I feel like all of 2econd 2ight 2eer is the best part of the song. The entire song makes me just want to bang my head! It also contains my favorite WW quote ("The devil made me do it, but I also kinda wanted to") but at the same time how he say "hallucinations and lucid dreams" is just 😔👌
Edit: lately I've been listening to BBW WAYYY too much (new favorite will song) and the way his voice flourishes when he says "Well, he was wearing stolen rubber shoes and wrapped a poison ivy noose" is one of my favorite parts in a song period! I love his vocal patterns so much and as a fan of swing music and indie music, he feel he's got this flair that just makes me want to 😵❤/pos
Edit Edit: The song with five names my favorite now. l love it when he say "אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה" (totally didn't copy that from Google 👀) and the entire part where he spirals into "give me that old time religion), my new second is Cotard's Solution, which the entire song is a banger (and apparently will's ACTUAL least favorite to play) and surprisingly third goes to Outliers and Hyppocrites! For it being on the normal album, a lot of people (including me at first) apparently skipped over it! I accidentally listened to it the other day and realised it's a banger! (Also chemical overreaction is so freaking good lol)
i was honestly surprised the video didnt have the entire will wood song list
@@RatazanaMorta I know right! All of his songs are "the best part" lol
@@Delicate_Disaster42 we just dont talk about destroy to enjoy
@@RatazanaMortashh, don't even say its name or you'll summon the construction gods...🤫
"Vice-versa, vice versus virtue..." part is the best imo
imo the best part of “well better than the alternative” is the “WHATS SO WRONG ABOUT WHATS WRONG WITH ME? I JUST WANNA DO WHAT’S RIGHT BY YOU” at the end
it’s pretty damn amazing that all my favorite parts of Will’s songs are also everyone else’s favorite parts of Will’s songs
I'm 2econd 2ight 2eer the line "vice versa Vice versus virtue" goes hard
I get goosebumps whenever i listen to Willard! because it just describes me down to the core, being pushed around, neglected, hated, abused and treated like something non human to the point where you dont feel human and just the path to accepting the fact that no, i will never be “human” in the way that neurotypical people are. The song just makes all my pent up anger, past trauma, neurodivergency and therianthrophy seem understood in a way? The song is such a comfort to me and makes me feel at home and that its okay to be “animalistic” and “agressive” when i need it. Its like the song helps me be myself. Thank you will wood
Here go my complains:
In Suburbia Overture, the best part is defineteley the return to Will's normal voice in "To proove you've got blood"
...Well, better than the alternatives is the key change. Undisputed
When somebody needs you is the chord descent next to the part where it's cut off
The bridge in Vampire Reference is more deserved than the knocking
Willard's best part is the whole final chorus. It uses my favorite Will Wood trope (descending chords), and it pays homage to the beggining of the song and the album.
Ferryman is kinda cheaty, as it's not a Will song, and you chose his specific verse
Dr. Sunshine is the ending. The callback to Cotard's solution is great.
4:00 counter point
"Am I supposed to call this flagellation"
To "like a halo, Like a halo, like a halo" part
Me personally I think that the best part of Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In! is the part where it goes "My name was soiled by a last call spill with a backwash swill and the blackout killed me Sober on impact from a fall from grace", along with the whole "take the road on higher ground" part
underrated opinion! the start of marsha thankk you for the dialectics, but i need you to leave is so underrated, and is such a banger, like just that part of instrumental is so good its sad it doesn't play again in the song
literally. when i first listened to it i had to stop the song to think about that melody
@@closetskeleton2432 IKK ITS ACTUALLY SO GOOD
IT IS
0:44 this little guitar bridge 🙏
Bro they did Half-Decade Hangover dirty. “ SOOBER, AND YET STILL MUCH HANGS OOVER!” Is the best part
i wish you kept going a little bit longer in Marsha (etc.) bc i sing my damn heart out on “back in the days of laBOtoMY and SHOCK THERAPY AND MAD SCIENTISTS”
The fact the albums aren't in order is making me irrationally angry
I mean this could just be his whole discography but I still appreciate this
Ok but can we appreciate how beautiful the trill is in I/me/myself (for all you non-band kids it’s just hitting a key over and over again) chefs kiss
The fact that “I walk the equator chasing the light” is cut off from red moon
Once the retention thing shows up on this video, we can see what the ultimate Will Wood moment is!
honestly, the "well i know the day is far away" part in lysergide daydream is the best for me
The part for Red Moon not being “I walk the equator, chasing the light, little do I know it orbits close behind, I might remember or might assume, but I only turn around every once in a red, red moon” is criminal to me
"wearing stolen rubber shoes znd wrapped a poison ivy noose" in black box warrior was SOMFREAKING GOOD like the way it goes up suddenly AHHHHHH
For me the best part of 6up 5oh is "Flies on my eyeballs Scabs on my elbows, Heaven knows god's sittin' up there like 'Hell no!'" because the flow on that part is so fucking good
😭😭 I NEED A FULL SONG OUT OF THAT PART OF AGAINST THE KITCHEN FLOOR
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THE PIANO PART AT I ME MYSELF ITS SO GOOD ISTG
seeing the song with five name's title just cover half the screen was hilarious
the fact that you didn't just post his entire discography is sacrelige
for the willard part it shouldve been "ive never understood what humans do and want its quite confusing to me to try to connect
never learned how i should feel
instincts somehow stunted just seen haunted by my stupid urge to protect until frustration makes me with my teeth were sharp as yours chew threw their garage doors these carnivores will no more use my heart"

0:05 Im a monologue enjoyer, especially "As it were holding a mirror up to your mirror"
0:23 Agreed, banger bridge
0:43 Disagree, the main part of Love Me, Normally. Its really fun to play on piano
1:07 Personally i love the alternate chorus at the end, as well as all the prechoruses
1:16 Yes! Amazing chorus
1:38 I prefer the second prechorus, the lyrics are more meaningful to me
1:53 I think the bridge is the best part, the saxophone is amazing

@@SluuperI AM SO GONNA FIND YOU MY MAN/GIRL
I’m surprised you didn’t put the end of chemical overreaction as the best part because that part is literally my favorite part of any will wood song it’s SO good
This reminds me of old infomercials on tv at 1 am, pitching "best of" CDs and playing the chorus of various hit songs
omg the most hot take (just recently started getting into WW’s stuff and this is just my fave so far), in love me, normally, the part where he goes “with question marks or dot dot dot-“ that shit makes my brain fucking CRAZZYYY the way his voice sounds there is just shrsjjfjgjketjjent 10/10 would recommend
Im a sucker for "all that i see is absolute entropy" in thermodynamic lawyer
Well better than the alternative “everybody knows that, nobody knows that everybody’s all up in my motherf**king business” to the end is 🤌
Bones should be that last bridge and beyond.
All opinions are valid but we can all agree on against the kitchen floor no problem 😂
I agree with Marsha, cut right before the best part 😭

"AHHHHH! Step right up folks and get yourself a big, meaty fill of some of the most noxious, toxic, obnoxious, disgusting $h!t around! How vile can you be?" In Front Street is far better but it's fine, I like that part too. . .
personally, my absoloute favorite part of mr. capgras is when he says "eulogy or biography" and "so my god whats wrong with me" that entire part gives me goosebumps everytime
this is that kind of video that I show to someone who is wanting to know his songs
tbh every part of each will wood song is a bop
I remember when I first found this video when I first found out about Will wood but only listened to Bones and that was the only part of the video I watched
the "well not haha funny but, you know, funny" should be in there too
The best part of skeleton appreciation day is "Give me all your Lsd so i can feel my mind unweave again"
"But i aint done a fuckin thing to you" should have been the lyrics for The Main Character lol
For some reason on Mr Capgras i absolutely vibe to the "Eulogy or biography , im who i oughta be..." part
