Would be interesting to see the brand of motor in parallel with the bike brands. I'm in Canada and got a 2022 Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay . All the other countries specs would be neat too, as would how many bikes each manufacturer builds/sells.
There isn't a collection of sales numbers available. So, we've been doing this survey for some years to get a feel of the market share. The FB group is currently at 7.3k members, so it's quite a big group for such a small segment in Norway. We're open about this being an imprecise way of measuring, still, it's an indication and a bit of fun.
Momas was on the list, and received 0 votes. The poll remains open after the results were collected, it has since received 1 vote. The facebook-group has over 7k members, most of them interested in off-road/mountainbiking. In this segment, I think it's safe to say Momas has a very low market share.
They're all a complete joke with their 25kph speed limits and locked down hardware/software. The diy scene is where it's at now especially as torque sensing bb motors are coming onto the scene. I do like your videos though.
DIY stuff is getting very good now. I just went DIY > Mainstream though for my eMTB because I find the motors are just more refined and overall package is just more polished. Where i want DIY is a tour style bike for throttle and max speed.
Thanks! I've built 3 emtbs myself, back in 2014-2016. Two with BBS01 and one with a Q200 (??) hub motor, or was it "qutie", can't remeber the name. Going factory built emtbs gave me better frame geo. But that could be changing now. I think the 25kph limit makes sense, it makes it easier for other trail/pavement users to accept ebikes. The motors need to be serviceable, and I believe the EU right to repair bill will make that happen on upcoming motors. To my understainding, motors being released up until now was designed before the bill was passed.
@@EMTBVideos serviceable would be the biggest win ever! I hate the 25k speed limit though. I personally don’t see the point. You cant ride a bike on a paved pedestrian path in Australia. Road only. So many times in open MTB trail sections where i hit 25k limit and friends on non e bikes will go faster than me. I do feel 32kms would be a good thing, but it is what is is. Riding is still enjoyable.
It would be interesting to see the breakdown between max power (85nm+) and mid-power (50nm+)?
Yeah, perhaps I'll do a survey on that this winter.

Yeah, we consider making a more detailed survey on emtbforums. Can only make simple ones on Facebook.
Ahh Solo, Bjorn likes that too. As for bikes no ZEG brand?? That is a surprise.
Haha, yeah, and not even he's sponsored by them. I just think it's fun promoting Norwegian stuff a bit (:
So, this is just a poll in a small group om facebook? In other words you can't claim any market share at all as this is not sales numbers.

Merida should be higher, I was told they make Specializes frames.
Merida is the biggest manufacturer. LG made the all the oled panels but Sony is the more popular brand, same happens here
Merida owns 49% of Specialized, according to wikipedia.
Most sold brand in Norway.....Momas
