It’s really a big appreciation that student can have their own people around can give priority to their languages … TCV is one of the top school in India with good education and healthy environment…. We wish Gen la a very best a luck… may TCV reaches it aspiration and success.
The number of Tibetan families in the west able/willing to send their children to a boarding school far away would be very limited. TVC should use its resources to creat a online Tibetan school to let children in the west learn the language daily(0.5-1 hour), and develop textbooks to meet different groups' needs. Both side will benefit from this.
@@TibetanPlateau The whole world knows who would do such stupid things in the old days practicing calling it culture and who will risk their children's lives and pushing them into the swamp. Many such agendas were made in the past, all failed and new ones started being created with new names.
@@TibetanPlateau If the objective is language preservation, online classes are not sufficient. Children require full immersion to speak it at a sufficient level. Once they can do that, they will naturally also preserve Tibetan mentality, customs, and thus "culture."
This is a very good initiative, I would like to congratulate and say thank you. The fee is, if per month it seems bit high, if per year too low.

If it's too expensive don't send ur kids simple! We aren't doing a charity here. Tbh the said fee would the be only source to generate revenue to run the schools. And btw folks it's a boarding school not a day schooling so think twice. Furthermore TCV is still a brand known to produce fine Tibetans wid the holistic growth culturally and academically. Wat I fear the most is those kids coming from West rather might spoil our already fragile culture and do more damage than help thyself. From an ordinary ex tcvian, cheers!

Chinese families in the west are also trying hard to keep their identity. Instead of Sunday Chinese Schools, children take 30 min online Chinese classes everyday. It is important to learn the language everyday! The teachers are in China, and the online schools have developed special text books to meet different groups' needs. If such kind of online Tibetan classes hire teachers in India, the cost would be even lower than hiring in China/Tibet (if the Chinese government allows). Why don't the Tibetan communities do this? Tibetan teachers in India do not want to make the money? Or Tibetan families in the west do not want to pay?
first of all. online class may sound good but it works best for adults since they are willing to learn new skills to go ahead in life. but asking children to do the same won't yeild the same good result. i have seen how students study during covid. only a few may be motivated to do well but most students fail to do so.
plus they are teachers who can teach online. but most teachers are not skilled enough to teach online. that takes a different kind of preparation. teachers need training and equipments as well as organisation to do so. if it only was that easy teach online and solve the problem looming over our culture and language. your suggestion might be one of the solution but i can tell u will absolute garantee that going to school is far superior to online classes. after all we are not just expecting to learn a language but culture as well. and there is no better place to learn other than living with your people. i leave the rest to your intelligence.
@@ziikgames7986 The Tibetan community Sunday schools will do the culture teaching part such as art and religion. Online and in person classes can cooperate. If the online school is initiated by the TCV, I believe the resources will be much better and more systematic than those online language tutors.

Mussories home student are 90% Indian and teachers themself are forgetting they are in Tibetan school or indian school TCV is doing very good and alway the best school for Tibetan.

there main aim is to focus on tibetan language and cultural for those tibetan living abroad.

For USA, no probleem for money becz they don't pay full wk tax and goes for more black wk with good money..Europe people has to pay full tax and we don't have black wk...so the price is bit expensive..better continue with Sera Jhe Tibetan on-line cleass.

It is not possible that India's top school education system is too expensive or only Bourgeois families or industrialists or politicians children can afford or I don't think so much can be spent by the administration. That's why India's own citizens Indians go abroad to study outside India.

Tcv school in india has planned to turn lower tcv school into a school where tibetan students abroad can learn their language and culture from class 4 to 8. The education model will be designed accordingly keeping in mind the western model. So that they can go back and continue their studies once they pass out from this school. It's not a money making scheme. The fee might sound expensive but they will be provided more amenities such as accommodation, food , medical services, music, sports and wifi.

I have graduated from this school some years ago but I didn't see ltcv as bhoot Bangla or so.
It is in good condition. So, better don't judge book by its cover.
