Dorian rocked this show elaine robin. This whole story was bizarre. Alex was normal a fed a lawyer beautiful then they took a hard left & pushed bo w/ cassie. Laura was beautiful a good actress but they played her as weak or insane & treated dorian like trash. In actuality they were trying to get genie francis to be bo's next love. She was happily living her life went to amc for 5 m8n so they gave bo & bob woods sarah back. Epic fail. He was actually angry that nu sarah didnt take. They killed her off & shoved bo & nora together. Meanwhile i was stunned john russell was still around & had loads of chemistry w/ nora. Nora stayed on b/c john was troubled martys lawyer & gave her marty as a client & the rest was history.
At about 8:40 there's screaming and crashing heard in the background. I guess we can assume that's Alex beating the shit out of Cassie - and Megan & Viki just go on with their conversation, lol.
Alex was insane. I loved this entire story. Going back to Loon Lake & the attempted drowning . The Carlo stuff was great, the Mayor over the top. I saw that but this part was great !
Those scenes with Megan are so sad, how tired she is (Jessica Tuck plays that well) and how she is trying to be there with Max and with Viki yet she's slipping away. Tonja Walker is incredible in that long expository dialogue with Cassie. Laura's great too, and she has the difficult part (just being the who/what/where/why person), but Tonja makes all that rambling sound so convincing. I hated to see that scene end. She was a fantastic psycho.
@mbrand19971 Couldn't agree more! Thought she was the bee's knees as Olivia St. Jerome on GH, then she came on and did THIS role... WOW! And she's supposed to return to ONE LIFE any day now!! Maybe she'll revert to her old ways and take out a Ford or two as a gift for those of us old enough to remember the good ol' days... a guy can dream, can't he?? ;)
Poor Cassie! She did have a lot of hard luck when it came to her weddings! Before her earlier wedding to Bo, her really psycho rival Alex Olanov used Sarah Buchanan's awkwardly timed return to torment Cassie, and then, to add insult to injury, even marrying a pastor, Andrew, proved to be fraught with peril when she was stalked by jealous rival Marty! She just couldn't win! And didn't Kevin B. (at some point) also marry Cassie briefly and then drive her around the bend? I think he tried to do that to Kelly, too; what a sh-t! Anyway, I think that was all of Cassie's weddings, at least, I *hope* so!
The writers decided to use some dramatic irony in the way they had the adult Cassie turn out to be a more fragile and vulnerable young woman. They did that in reverse when Dorian -a self-described "fighter" - had two sisters, Addie and Melinda (more like Cassie), who each had some kind of mental breakdown. Dorian referred to as them as "feelers". They felt too deeply and likely Dorian saw this as why they broke too easily.(They had a terrifying mother and an awful childhood). That was one irony; the other was that Blair and Kelly, the daughters of Addie and Melinda, were both "fighters", tough and resilient, just like Dorian. l liked the 3rd Cassie best, Holly something, (actually the 3rd Cassie) from the standpoint of which took after Dorian the most. She was the most sexy, but Laura Bonarrigo was the most classically beautiful, just like an artist's model for a Renaissance painting, and did a very convincing vulnerable quality, so for the last Cassie, she was the most well-suited. (The very first Cassie we only saw briefly when she was introduced to the story at 15 years old as Cassie Howard, until she revealed to Dorian that she was actually Cassie (Catherine) Reynolds, Dorian's daughter by David Reynolds.) The second Cassie was played by Ava Haddad, the next, Holly ? and finally, Laura. TBH, I thought the first two were quite forgettable.
@@fancifulfilly Dorian was a deep feeler also, but was stronger. Dorian also desperately tried to deny what a deep feeler she was. But yes, Dorian was also a tough fighter as well. Those traits are not mutually exclusive. I think Addie was autistic and never really had any breakdown.
I was obsessed with OLTL's scoring from 85-92 so this is what I know. That early part of this scene has a early 90's Score Productions theme done during the end the Paul Rauch era- It was alex's theme almost exclusively to my knowledge.. That orchestra theme that comes on after was 100% Linda Gottlieb- One of the earliest things she did was change the lighting and hired an actual composer- I think her name was Elizabeth Swados. That "Loon Lake" storyline when Alex tried to kill Cassie was exclusively scored like a film by Elizabeth Swados- the entire episodes were done with an orchestra. That theme plays in this episode. Late 1991 into early 1992 was so so weird because it had Paul Rauch influences meeting Linda Gottlieb influences@@romanseano
@soapfave06 I know. This is what i've disliked about soaps esp OLTL back in the day for some odd reason they love portraying 'good' characters as being weak and whiney and pathetic. It's quite sad...I know it's a soap and all but pls..you're Dorian's daughter..toughen up LOL
8:50...Viki and Megan were so disgustingly self-centered yammering on about themselves and showing no concern about Cassie, Sarah or Jason. No wonder Dorian hates them both...they truly do make Dorian sick.
@@toyaliens The scene actually confirms it. Yes, Megan was about to die that winter and Sarah had been locked up for a year, but that should make them _more_ sympathetic to Dorian and Cassie's suffering. LOL, soap families are fun to watch because of the messes most of them get themselves into.
@soapfave06 i Agree. If Cassie ever would be mad this would be it. Probably the last vulnerable female role oltl had. Also the last evil villian they had. All the bad guys turn into good guys or are suppose to be multi dimensional. Even Alex. There's Mitch but he's came and went so many times it lost it's fizzle. I guess spencer was evil but Oltl was on a downfall then. Oh, I did like the Hayes barber story
@GenXorcist1976 She is quite a wacjko that gal and that's news to me that she is coming back to Llanview to stir of more trouble and wanting to get back into Bo's life again. The early nineties were arguably the Soaps golden years.
BOOM. What a whollop!! 👊🏼
Epic Dorian exit " all of u make me sic" LOL

Yes, I love it!!! I was so proud of Dorian! I love her!
I'd love to pit Alex against the original Janet Green (played by Kate Collins on AMC) - THAT would be a clash of the psychos!

She played another physco on General hospital in 1988 As well.. Later shot By Anna.
Tonja seems to dislike beautiful dark haired women. GH: Anna Devane OLTL: Cassie Reynolds
Also Alex hated dark-haired Dorian.
Lol! Alex Olanov vs. Janet Green vs. Heather Webber :P.
OLTL VS. AMC VS. GH 😝
Vs. Sheila Carter. Fatal Four Way
This Cassie always annoyed me. So weak and whiny compared to the previous versions of Cassie. Is it wrong that I enjoyed Alex roughing her up a bit?
No if it was Blair she would have kicked Alex's ass!!👊👊
Not at all. Cassie often took her mother for granted and sometimes mistreated her.
2:30-3:25...I love how Dorian tells that elitist crowd off.
POW! This is so warped I love it!
This was so great and satisfying when she punched Cassie in her self-righteous face.
ALEX IS TOO MUCH 😮😮😮
Boy she owned Cassie here.
@bigal650 I've watched OLTL on/off for years and it's really annoying how they portray "good" girl Cassie as a 'weakling'...and whiney..pls!
Ty for these episodes loving it some I never seen and some I'm remembering like oh my yeahhhhh ty
Alex may had been Psycho but she was very hot back in the day. Tonya is one of my favourite soap actresses.

Max is back!
Alex is so deliciously evil.❤️
Didn't know Megan was vampire Nan Flanagan from true blood!
@man7j THIS CASSIE RECAST WAS WRITTEN AS BEING WEAK--AVA HADDAD WAS A VERY STRONG CASSIE
I agree with you. This Cassie is so weak. She needs someone to rescue her.
I never cared for this Cassie. The others were stronger.
