We all feel you. Personally I'm so fucking done with modern NFS games and their bullshit that I always go back to classic NFS's like 2, 3, 4 and Porsche Unleashed. Real NFS games that really cared about car culture and unmatchable soundtracks. Legendary times that will never be back.
I remember watching this over and over on my PlayStation 1. Back then quality content wasn't nearly as available as a quick UA-cam search away, let alone videos of exotic cars. So this meant so much to me when I was 9. Will never get to experience that jackpot feeling of finding well made content of exotic cars now that it has become so available. You win some lose some I guess.
I remember playing this game when i was in the 1st grade. Now that im 27 it puts tears in my eyes for 2 reasons. First its cause of an era long past. Second is cause of how far we've come far as automotive technology is concerned and how through the course of time we've gotten the machines we have today. But it sorta fills me with a bit of sorrow cause despite all the progress made to make driving safer and more accessible, the average driver (at least in america) is still horrible at driving. Its so disrespectful to all the giants who have come before us to be bad at something thats so accessible nowadays
I grew up with JDM cars thanks to Gran Turismo and The Fast and the Furious. And I always thought they were the best cars ever, period (I still do). And that the 911 was overrated. But after trying out the 911 RSR in Need for Speed and remembering that I had played Porsche Unleashed as kid without even knowing it, learning more about RWB and Singer as well as Porsche's racing history, I get it now. I get why people want a 911. I guess there really is no substitute. :3
This game alone made the 996 generation bar none my favorite. Every single thing about it in game made it feel like a celebration and something special.
Fun fact did you know that this sport car company was responsible for creating one of the Deadliest tanks in Human history the Tiger I Tiger II Elefant tanks.

One of the most underrated, and brilliant NFS games.

Nfs dedicating one of thier sequels to porsche was too awesome, such nostalgic vibes.
what a piece of childhood on PS1 it was.
also in Pc (Pentium 3)

by the time this game got released, porsche didn't produce the Cayenne yet.
