At least we can all agree that that everything past, present & future is Cole's fault. Especially the things Phoebe did.
Thanks Colebama!
Imagine the WB promo for this episode if it were season 7. "Phoebe's got a date... with death?" Phoebe: "I've just been shot." "An all new Charmed: I Slept With a Sheriff."
"But I Did Not Sleep With the Deputy"
With sexy results.
Prue: You killed a guy.
Cole: So did you.
Prue: Yeah but I chased him down and shot him in the back like a hero Cole. Keep up.
My carman for this episode is whoever from the town that hung the cowboy clothes that Prue and Cole stole. That person didn't scream "hey, they stole my clothes" when they were confronting Sutter.
My margolye is Cole, who didn't have the good sense to stay away from Halliwell manor. By returning to Phoebe, he sealed his fate.
I bet Shannen loved putting Alyssa through the torture scene. I wonder how many takes it took.
When it comes to the Charmed Ones blaming everything on Cole im thinking of that Thanksgiving episode of the Simpsons where Bart has the nightmare of his family going "Its all your fault" and just picturing the Charmed Ones doing that to Cole
As an indigenous person of North America.... Yeah. The crow is 10000000% to make things more "Native"y. It's a classic thing that ⚪ people do. I don't know why.
Jonny Depp did it too, if you recall, in the Lone Ranger movie.
Fair! Although for this episode, it was at the very least insinuated what the crow was meant to be, if not downright stated. Albeit expressed poorly, there was some expository scene when the injured Bo’s sister provided context. Part of why the sister was quick to believe the vision stuff had to do with their father’s spiritual beliefs, including some curse they believe the father declared on the towns people explaining their time loop, as well as his name being “something crow”. Thus implying the father watching over in both timelines. I’m sure it’s on the series’s wiki or something.
[edit - it said on wiki the fathers name was “Soaring Crow”.)
"we tried NOTHING AND WE'RE ALL OUT OF IDEAS!"
Like I said, once a podcast always a podcast.
I can't believe they didn't name the episode "The good, the Bad, and the Charmed"
That would have been good actually 😂
For a moment, I thought it was going to be a Coop episode, since I associate him with Poop. Thankfully, the dark days of a Poop episode are still in the future... maybe never, if we can get a good time loop!
Instead of making Phoebe an empath later on, they should've just made her had repeated visions of getting shot.
Then Tom Cruise and Emily Blount star in the movie adaptation: Live, Die, Phoebe.
😂😂 or just at very least, her visions grow to ‘connect’ her to the victims physically… so she’s just always psychically having her ass kicked
In season 1 there was a moment when Phoebe stated she could will herself into having a vision, which was never mentioned again. I guess because it would have lost the "hand of the author" function that this power had, but I totally go with your explanation on Phoebe just slacking off on her power.
I never got the impression Prue killed Sutter, she just knocked him out when she threw him through the window
Regarding the "I can't orb with a demon" to Charmed's credit(?) I think throughout the rest of the show whenever Leo and Cole teleport it is Leo doing the orbing (so it's Cole being transported by Leo's powers) but in this instance Leo would need to 'shimmer' with Cole because it is his teleporting power that can move to the pocket dimension not Leo's orbing. So the rule appears to be specifically about being teleported by demonic powers.
You know it's a good Charmed episode when Phoebe keeps getting injured/dying
Phoebe getting whipped is comedy gold!
The reason their powers work is because the "time loop" is localized and thus there are no Charmed Ones from that time within the time loop.
Their powers don't work in the past because normally they go back into the past and somewhere in the world that time's version of their powers exists somewhere already. It implies their powers are 4th dimensional to some degree I guess.
But in this one only that one town was moved into the pocket dimension and so within that pocket there's nobody with their powers so they can use them freely.
Speaking of time loops, I walked in on people watching this episode 3 or 4 times before I finally decided to watch the show. It was literally the only episode I saw before I started it myself.
Prue really shot a guy holy shit lmfao
She may be the best Charmed One, But she's still a Charmed One
Maybe because I’m still a 5-year-old at heart, I laughed out loud when I read the title of this episode 😂
I dropped everything the moment I got the notification. Yay, Charmed Rewined.
It popped up for me right when I got out of work to start my three day weekend!!!!!
'time loops happen when there is a break in justice' ah I see that cole is just getting thrown into hell every day for eternity then
Come on, you know Prue had the power of righteousness on her said in order to criticize Cole at the end 🤣
If Bow had visions of later Charmed seasons, I can't blame him to be sceptical at best of Colebama and The Only Reliable Charmed Ones
Ironic, for being about an endless time loop, this podcast was so fun, it flew by!
Phoebe is the most evil than any demon.
“Let’s do the time poop again!” 🎵🎶
People always bring up how Charmed lifted stuff from Buffy, but there is an episode of Power Rangers from 1995 exactly like this episode
So I checked if the Mystery Crow had a page on the Charmed Wiki and he did !
So there are two theories, either he is connected to Bo because Bo's father was named Soaring Crow if the wiki is to believed.
Or the crow was a death omen for Prue's death at the end of the season.
Well, even Charmenders are grasping at straw here...
I remember them explicitly discussing Bo’s father’s people putting a curse on the townspeople? Thus the Soaring Crow meant to imply they’re watching both timelines?
35:28 Big Daddy Halliwellbucks
Perfect timing!!! Just started work so I’ll be sitting down with a cup of tea and listening to this instead of my work now hah.
Also you guys been going on this podcast for like 4 years now! Way to go keep it comming 😊
4 years?! Incredible ❤
I didn't recall which ep this was until I saw the screencap and at first I thought it was gonna be a Coop episode.
you guys. for the stake of this show. i have to mention that on amazon. theyre are book of shadow replicas and one of them is close to 20$ and is about 300 pages which sounds right to me considering how long the show went on. I got my own copy and its gold. and many things i recognize from the show. and theres motherhood advice in it we never get in show. proving more the charmed ones dont truly care about theyre family self centeredness is king lol
Does the book of Shadow replica have Phoebe's addition about Cole's turn on and turn off and her sharpies drawings ?
They did show a page in Reckless Abandon, season 2, that their mom supposedly wrote about tips on raising kids. Phoebe just skips right to the bottom of it though.
@@PittsburghSportsFan43 Seeing how Piper and Phoebe turned out, her tips about raising children were probably as useless as Phoebe's addition to the book.
Since Cole actually participated in saving Phoebe and those in the process made the world a worse place to live...
It was really Cole's fault for once.
Geese, Alison, the AMERICAN having to ask the CANADIAN about guns? 😂
Yeah, new episode! =)
Thank You so much!
Carman: That dead cowboy that wore the clothes Prue later put on. He had some very progressive fashion sense xD
Margoyle: Phoebe. Being linked to the main plot and everything as much as she was and then being so annoyingly loud and useless on that sofa. Must suck.
On Bewitched witches couldn't use their magic in the past either which was why they weren't supposed to time travel. A rule that stayed consistent on the show like most others they introduced. Take that Charmed, you could have learned a thing or two from watching some old Bewitched episodes including how to make generally likeable characters.
38:55 - Maybe the white doves were there because John Woo was also in the time loop?
40:01 it's shotguns that fire pellet spreads. A shotgun would have made his hand explode, which the showrunners probably nixed, as only Charmed Ones are allowed to make peoples' bodies violently explode on this show.
Charmed + Time Travel never ends well.
I look forward to these Charmed videos almost as much as the sweet release of death ❤️ but really, I’m so happy whenever I see a new charmed rewind came out!
Prue and Cole in the old West, how could anything NOT go wrong? I still love from your old reviews how you mention Prue just kills a guy and apparently this has no effect on the future?
Love this episode 😂
God, Dad Bennett (Halliwell & Jones) is such a poorly handled character. Honestly they could have leaned much harder into him being either Repentant or a Bastard, but instead they wishy-waffle back and forth in every appearance he has. I would say it's a real shame, but it's just how Charmed handles EVERYTHING...
This was a fun episode!!!❤
So what isn't colebama at fault for?
You're thinking of Highlander: the raven
Charmed Hard With a Vengeance is back!? Holy crap!
Prue in the past: I just killed a guy by shooting him in the back! And the Day was saved!!
-
Phoebe in agony: Laugh while you still can Prue, Soon the walls will come for you and it will all be about Phoe-Me...
Why didn't they just say the files were in the car? It would make more sense because 1. It would give them more time to talk and keep him out of the house longer and 2. He would probably be more concerned with getting Phoebe inside.
I think Prue's "once a demon always a demon" comment was because Cole was laughing as the guy died.
I also never remember the name of the guy who plays Daddywell 2. I just refer to him as George Hazard because I am an old.
If only they knew a stupid Cupid to travel back in time. Not like Cole was the better, more believable and interesting romance compared to Poop.
Also, in your retrospective videos, you said it was Shannon Doherty who disliked Alyssa Milano's bf Julian McMahon and she also had an affair with Brian Crouse. :)
Eh! Charmed rewind is marking the end of my birthday 😊
I love these ❤
i forgot the ending of this. prue was hypocritcal to judge cole like this when she just did the same thing. i guess she acting like later piper and phoebe in later seasons. the episiode was a fun time travel episode. sure it didn't always make sense but rarely do they make sense in the time travel episodes of this show.. like the 60's episode when penny's a hippy. xD
Bo's dad's name was Soaring Crow, so I thought that's who the crow was
Yeah Juilliard McMahon was who she was dating.
Can you do a rewind of the episode "Rewitched" and the episode "Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun"? Can't stand those episodes
So who is The Good and The Bad in this situation? I mean Cole and Prue are better than most characters on Charmed but that's not saying much...
But we can all agree that The Ugly is probably Phoebe thanks to her very poor choice of fashion.
Please do wicca envy.
This is the episode that made me start shipping Prue and Cole.
Cole being the secret Alyssa Milano sweating fetishist on IMDB would make such sense. Maybe that is the real reason they vanquished him. :P Did IMDB even exist when this show was aired?
Yes. It originated in 1990 then was expanded and basically became what it was in 1996. It predates Charmed by 2-8 years.
You mispronounced "Cole" when you said if someone had to die, it should be Phoebe instead of Prue. Like Prue, Cole actually tried to help innocents and wasn't always complaining about his column "Ask Cole-bama". Unlike Phoebe, he didn't choose to be evil. I think a lot more people would have actually been saved by him if Phoebe died.
Miss you on the QL podcast.
I still do the retro eps with them!
@@AllisonPregler did you manage to privately watch the remaining end to the new series or wad it game over when you left the new talks. Miss your overall option on the new. I gave it 7/10. Great moments but missed opportunities
I haven’t managed to force myself watch more, sorry. The show had improved but it’s just incredibly boring and I’m never going to care about the present day team.
@@AllisonPregler 😪 sorry to hear that, but from the Gal who found the Lost ending...All is forgiven. Well done!!😀
Obviously, the men's clothes was for a drag queen.
That's why they were right there with the "prostitute" clothes. That was his drag outfit.
My BS makes about as much sense as the established plot stuff.....
I was rewatching some old Charmed rewinds last night and this morning. A brand new Charmed Rewind is just what I needed 🫶
Is chwav coming back
Nope
