Where are you guys fishing at?
Interesting timing. I just caught a yellowfin tuna off Moreton Island yesterday and had fresh sashimi for breakfast this morning. Fresh tuna and avo sushi for lunch and getting some smoker chips for some smoking action tonight.
Much love to AUS. Hope the fires go out soon and everyone stays safe. Sweet C&C.
Maybe the fires kill the corona virus
ILLUMINATI COMFIRMED
Nothing beats FRESH !!!
As for Kingy .... YUMMY !!!!!!
Great Colab !!!
Awesome collab. Joe n Kat seem like really chill cool ppl. Crazy filet job with a really s#*t knife and on the rocks. Joe is a beast with a knife. Keep the double date fishing vids coming mates...so cool to watch. Loving all the collabs your doing Briggsy. Always an adventure. Yeeeew !!!!
Wooo!! Awesome people hey? :D thanks heaps!! :D :D
Joe is really in his element there, for sure! :D
I agree Jose, the double dates are super fun and turning them into videos is even more fun!! 💪💪
I used to go on a charter boat that wouldn’t get back to port till 9:30pm and I would go home and cook right away also. There’s nothing better then fish that’s only a few hours old.
Soon as you said it, I was already on it 👌🏽👍🏽🇦🇺! Found you through watching you fish with the Cav Dog, and now Joe through you 👌🏽. Yiieeewwww!
Wow bro !!!! Nice Solid catch ya 💯!!!! 6/7 yo when my grandfather first took me along with him fishing . throw net , spear , rod and reel !!!! Remember like yesterday first fish when he said and showed me you don’t have to cook it to eat it ...,,, right at the sands cut and eat sashimi 😋👍🏼!!!!! RIP papa 😥🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼!!!! Now 48 and 3 sons don’t leave your beer and sashimi unattended 🤙🏼😂 !!!! Miss the salt life 😞!!!! Big thanks for sharing bro 💯💯💯!!!! 🤙🏼🇬🇺🤙🏼!!!!
New Zealand's rarest catch. The King Tourette Fush!
Briggsy it's called beurre noisette, when you brown the butter. It imparts a nutty taste to the fish. Awesome catch n cook dude. Perfect collab with the NZ fushing cuz ey!!!!! Yewwww🤙
Forgot to add subbed to Joe's channel.
I really like the way you guys catch and cooked the fish..because i saw a lot of people catching fish and throw it back to the ocean..hmmm...Two thumbs up for you guys👍👍🙌
Some people just catch and release because their not going to eat it. They do it for the sport more then anything but some people actually do eat what they catch 👌
Nice fish !..... lucky I wasn’t there.. you’d have to cut another plate of sash just for me !!.. lol
Man I would love to have the opportunity to be catching and eating fish like that on the regular with family n friends. Great content btw keep it up
Why can't you
Createx some people don’t live in an place close to a river/ocean. also time. people need to work. this is their job so there is no time problem
I love that u guys use the ikejime way of putting the fish out of it's misery(but u used a knife instead but hey that's still valid) :o
Good to see you in nz. I offended coat a whole kingi muscle group with herbs and spices then grill it in oven . Treat it like yellowfin tuna way under cook . Epic
Hahahaha That was Awesomenessss and interesting on the fillet of the fish...Great Info hahahaha...Thanks for the Awesomenessssss and thanks for the Laughs
I realized how big he was until he held it in his hands

Nice to see u back.....
Nice catch, Bro!
As always, you the Man Briggsy.
Hope you guy are safe from the fires. Take care
Cheers Mate, all safe in my zone but other people down south in a lot of trouble!
Awesome catch guys! Hamachi sashimi is so good!
My guy gotta try mixing the wasabi in the shoyu (soy sauce) and add little lemon or lime juice 🙌🏾
the japanese would be appalled
Japanese don't mix it normally, people just do it out of ease.
Love the feed gentlemen... Island style... perfect... yummy...
Best sashimi there is bloke 🎣👌🏼
I hope you kept the collar! tasty part of the fish, salt n pepper fry on oil, yum!
See what that man can do with a sharp knife!?!? Xpert fish butchering lol cheers man,
Love this video and your life style and the girl with cat eyes she's soo cute and different loved hey eyes and expressions keep rocking guys
What a beautiful fish here in Brazil name look at the sashimi and wonderful I live in Florianópolis SC your Fan
About the salt!!!!
We have the same problem in the southern parts of the USA. Sounds crazy but put uncooked rice in the salt dispenser BUT it’s got to have a perforated top with holes smaller than the grains of rice. Salt won’t get clumpy.
19:00 I lost my shit at this! Haha
hey bro! Send some love to Nicaragua man! Big fan of all you guys, amazin fishing channel! Do some more Catch n cook vids, that would be amazin!
Metric system is king... rewatching old vids Csituation got me on lock down
You guys made me really hungry hahaha

Nice one mate..
Awesome vid this is what i like to see.
Awesome vid love it 🙌
Awesome catch bro 🥰👌👍💪
That looks pretty good mate
Excellent video and entertainment, thanks 😊
Never seen the mayo here in the US, I'll have to try it this summer. Nice fish!
Men, I'm melting here, I want same, 😋😋😋😋 congratulations Briggsy nice video Mate. Good lesson how to make a Sashimi.
On the west coast of the US these are called these yellowtail, or their actual species name, yellowtail amberjack. its funny, kingfish to me in florida are king mackerel... which are extremely similar to what Australians call Spanish mackerel... but we have a Spanish mackerel that only gets about 24" max. then you ask a Florida fisherman to take you yellowtail fishing and you head to 10' of water and catch 12" snapper haha.
but definitely let yellowtail amberjack cure, uncovered in the fridge for one to two days if you want the ideal texture. thats what sushi restaurants do. my favorite fish to eat and fight of all time. made me sad to see the head and collar thrown away, that is my favorite seafood of all time. better than tuna, better than Dungeness crab, better than grouper. marinate the collars in miso and soy, then broil and its so damn good. its called hamachi Kama at japanese restaurants. so many people care about fish conservation and then just throw the head away or use it for crab bait when its the best tasting part. try to make a stew out of it if you cant handle eating the head. you will not be let down and more of the fish was prevented from going to waste. I cant say enough about how damn good yellowtail amberjacks are to eat. only thing that comes close from what ive tried is African pompano.
Delicious sashimi king fish.
Nice kingy
That mans does the best filleting job ever
great vid
You gotta mix a a couple drops wasbi in the soy sauce.
love the so sick keep it up
The marbled meat in the belly section is by far the best :)
Thank you for using ikejime for this king fish! But the processing method for sashimi is not the best. Sashimi needs to be oxidized and aged for 6-9 days to be the sweetest
Joe seams to be a fuckin legend
Haha! I agree hahahah! 🤣🤣
Kat Wilds you too haha
@@Chr.1995 Naww thanks mannn! ^_^ Did you check out our other videos on the Joe Wilds channel? :D
Why am i even watching this video? now i got hungry out of nowhere, minutes before i go to sleep
That's i call FISHING
Catch n cook
How is this joe guy so wise ?😂
A bit of heaven
So tasty. Yum.
Looks tasty!.. I'd add a few saltines..
I spent many years in Japan, on Okinawa and Tokyo/Yokohama region. during my deep sea fishing I noticed that the Japanese fishermen quickly bleed the fish, while it is still alive. Try doing that on your next Tuna or king fish, eat Sashimi style I think yall will like it.
Mouth watering engaged 🤤
Mouth watering indeed 🤣🤤🤤🤤
Throw some olive oil in if u want to stop the butter burning
Were where you guys fishing?
Early squad boys
Master fillet-er. Very impressive blade work. Do King fish in NZ get the worms in the flesh like in Oz?
Hi Mate, no worms in NZ!
@@Briggsy maybe not common or maybe hasn't been studied enough, but there are. Be careful:
www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00288330.1999.9516907
mate briggsy what combo or fishing rod and reel would you recommend for a beginner ? Love your content mate
fried fish would taste more "fishyer" because of the natural nutrients being fried and also the salt would bring out the rawness of the fish
Ahhh! Learning! 👌👌Thaaank you! :D
To remove the fishiness, add crushed fresh turmeric, salt, and a bit water to marinate the fish for a few minutes and its ready to be fried
Ohh fantastic! I'm going to be like.. Master chef now hahahaha!
iPr0 BlacK that makes absolutely no sense
Go fry a goat, dude
Nice
What your in New Zealand! 3:31 Where is the spot your fishing? Really wanna know where that is
Tuna belly fillet is best for sashimi.
yummy
if you come back to nz you sould go to nelson
I’d have to agree I like mine paper thin also, when I watch the Japanese channels make their cuts it’s always really think and it seems gross to eat it that way.
Welcome to indonesia ..pantai selatan my brow
but little bit of rice in your salt shaker keeps the salt dry
Super caught, but you can't cook such a beautiful fillet with butter, extra virgin olive oil, seared 1 minute per side. 😱😂👍
Their hearts are just behind their throats if you hook one pretty good it not likely to survive after any battle.
King fish looks like our California yellow tail, true?
Yes. We call them yellowtail. Our kingfish looks way different
Very similar, different subspecies, yours have a more narrow shape and a more pronounced shape, nz/aus species are much fatter and get bigger much more frequently
🥇❤🎣
Yummy
is New Zealand to Australia what Scotland is to Britain? Or what Canada is to America? Because I keep hearing "ay" lol
Yea kind of we are definitely very close is kind of a hard question
I'm in Australia and it's awesome
yeh we’re like brother and sister
Eeeewww
Old video but if you still see this, what kind of dog is the black colour one?
Should put in your video descriptions where abouts you're fishing, don't have to disclose exact location of course, but it would be good for us to see where you are in each video.
It’s funny how you guys call that a kingfish in Australia. In the states and Mexico they are called yellowtail. What we call a kingfish is much different looking.
Noice
Hey guys..great catch and cook session...do urself a favour and go to a japanese or korean shop and get some real soya sauce...makes a big difference...
No chopsticks briggs
♥️😋
I think you should have had Guy Fieri and Jaboody Dubs join you
Too much wasabi!!! Lol but sushimi looks way more delicious
