- Miss Cambodia 2022 just crowned Manita Hang as their new titleholder who will represent Cambodia during Miss Universe 2022. This is my first reaction ever to Miss Universe Cambodia and I have to admit I am very pleased with the 2022 edition. Manita Hang seems to have all the right assets in order to succeed during Miss Universe 2022 so Cambodia is in good hands.

Manita has a very sincere, calm and modest personality. After she won she openly told to a reporter that she needs to work more on improving her catwalk and interview skill. Therefore, I am sure that she will be a good learner with the Filipino trainer.

I heard all the upcoming winners of Miss Universe Cambodia with Manita Hang included will train under the Filipino beauty camp KF or the Kagandahang Flores Camp. I bet Cambodia will have their very first semis placement this year in Miss Universe.
The 1st time i heard the MU Cambodia.a lot of filipino staff and also national derector is came from the PHILIPPINES..i started to support this MU CAMBODIA ORGANIZATION..GOD BLESS MANITA...

Her face is stunning and smile is radiant! Her walk needs improvement, but I see a placement for Cambodia this year!
Luis, Rhian Fernandez is a famous Filipino designer, he designed and created the wedding gown of Siera Bearchell.
They include English on that pageant because the National director is Filipino and also most of the judges. And fun fact, the winner will also train in the Philippines under Kagandahang Flores. 🇵🇭
Not to mention that their candidates worn a filipino designers in 4 consecutive years by the one and only Rhian Fernandez
You're right. There are Filipinos in the judging panel as well as their choreographers amd the National Director of the pageant. No wonder the production and quality of the girls were so great.

Her walk could still be a bit better, in my opinion. But it’s not bad! She has so much potential. She deserved that crown that night! What an amazing contender for MU2022!!! Cambodia has to place this year!!!!
Her similraties to Celeste Cortesi of the Philippines makes me more eager to know her uniqueness and potential strong candidate from Cambodia against early favorites . In General , she is the first candidate of Cambodia who can start a high standard that many pageant veterans and powerhouse like of the Philippines has already has started and proven enough to be recognized & stand out in every beauty pageant.

I find her simple and beautiful with less fresh make up. Hope they find her a group of stylists to make her stand out among other early favorites. I must admit that not only Celeste Cortesi emanates on her . She also has similarity with former Miss World Meagan Young also from the Philippines.

To be honest she look like miss world 2013 megan young when she sideview. And her moves similar to miss universe Philippines 2022
Thanks Luis for your sweet reaction! Manita sure does have a potential to compete at Miss Universe. However, I have a few critics for the show's production as well:
- During evening gown, all the girls wore their sash, which was disturbing to really appreciate fully the designs of the dress. In MU or MUP, during the coronation night, the contestants showcase their gown without wearing sash at all. It surprised me a bit, since the national director of MUC is a Filipino.
- During he announcement, the top 5 changed from their own unique designed gowns to wear the Filipino designer's gown. All the gown were all in orange color to fit the color of the sponsor's product. For me, this is a bit disrespectful towards the local designers. The show should uplift the work of art of the local designers and allow the girls to showcase their uniqueness on stage during the very important moment.
Apart from this, the show was definitely better than the previous edition. The contestants were very strong. I do support that the inclusivity of English language is actually a smart move because it can catch a lot of attention from international pageant viewers. Congrats to Manita and can't wait to follow your journey to the MU!

I recognize her orange gown. It think it was the gown Miss Earth Philippines Roxy Baeyens wore during Miss Earth 2020 preliminary gown? I guess Rian Hernandez was the designer and made the Top 2 contestants of MUC2022 wear his creations. Indeed the MUC2022 pageant is inspired and driven by Filipinos. I am so happy for MUC Organization.

OMG! Cambodia is not just Angkor Wat, like I have seen this in books, magazines and every travel guides. Her answer is not something new.
Tbh, I don't see her on top 5 yet, maybe top 10 highest placement. There are many Latinas to beat this year who can penetrate top 5, the only asian I see in top 5 now is Philippines which turns out to be the best in Asia so far. But Cambodia has the potential if they train her walk and such. So yeah, top 10 for now, its early to say shes gonna place top 5 since vietnamd and thailand hasn't done their finals yet.
