What is the best focal length for headshots?

We ran a fun experiment using focal lengths from 16mm up to 200mm. Then I sit down to the computer and compare them side by side! Watch all the way to the end to hear my conclusion as to which focal length is best for headshots and portraits!

Very interesting comparison. The reason I watched this video is because I've been shooting quite a few headshots recently using both an 85mm f/1.8 prime and a 50mm f/1.8 prime. If I continue to shoot primarily headshots, I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade to a better quality 85mm prime or a good quality 7-200mm f/2.8 and since I prefer headshots shot at about the 85-95mm range (for most people) I'm curious to know if you rely more on your 70-200 or your 24-70 for headshots?
