Dwayn my Dad sold my 12 year old boy what he thinks is a 1951 Oliver tractor for $2. The tractor is in horrible condition however both my boy and I believe things like this deserve to be restored and appreciated, that originally was Dads plan too but his health too a nose dive.
We sure would love your input!

Dose anyone know what year this was filmed? Duane Starr was an instructor of mine in Milford Ned. at John Deere College.

So, im guessing, that Waukesha made a line of air-cooled engines ? Then wholesale supplied to equipment mnfg's. (Similar to the gasoline "bobcat" equipment, had 4cyl "Wisconsin" engines under the cowling)
Or parts made/supplied to spec, like how the auto makers get subassemblies?
Anyway, Cool old timey technology there!!

They werent air cooled, they were water cooled. Waukesha was a full line industrial engine manufacturer that built gas, diesel and LPG engines. They had a standard line of engines that they would sell to anybody. Oliver entered a partnership with them in which the engines Oliver used were jointly engineered using base model Wauk engines built to Oliver specs. All the engines used in the tractors were Oliver Waukesha engines. Because of this there is quite a bit of parts interchangeability between Oliver and base Waukesha engines, but there are also quite a few that are Oliver specific. Waukesha is still around today building large Oilfield engines.

One has to wonder, where do these people acquire the funds for all these restorations, Builds, and Custom vehicles we see today. It boggles my mind as a Small Business Contractor there never seems to be enough money to go around, even after working 12 - 16 hr days for 20 plus years. In any Case More power too you, I hope some of y'all hire me to remodel your homes. Clearly you have the money to pay for it.
