I work overnight and watched the election nonstop with 7 hour sleep breaks. I remember waking up Saturday morning after my night off and continued to watch at 5 am - and so on. Then they called it. What a crazy election. I saw when everything was changing throughout the 4 days.

I've lived here for the past 21 years, I grew up my young life in Mexico, and I finally was able to vote for the first time, and I can assure you, I know first hand how the USA is when it comes to division and racism issues, this is not a surprise for me, if anything I think theres still a lot more who are hiding .

I was so terrified to watch coverage. I watched with one eye. ALL night. I loved this report the next morning. It was the same joy I felt giving birth to my children.
I feel you. I held my breath and began watching the coverage that first night. With the first few states called for Trump I thought "Oh god it can't be happening again". So I shut the TV off and went to bed contemplating the state of humanity. Next day i turn the TV on and suddenly Biden looks about to win. It was like someone had just brought me back to life with CPR.

The worst is yet to come. We went through a similar situation with Brexit. The country was divided 49/51% or close to. Since then it's been nothing but anger and frustration. Until covid came along and gave everyone something else to be angry at.
