The songwriters (who really believe they are innovating) continue to put out the same templates product. Meanwhile, Texas has maintained it's own country music scene.... EDIT: I know Wade's album The Given was released under a Nashville label and his song Saturday Night got mainstream country airplay. So to someone's credit, they did try to promote him to mainstream, but some people get a lot more than one chance to chart. If a label would really put some effort behind him and other Texas artist we wold finally get some diversity in Country, but there is a bias.
