Takes a lot of courage to talk about disappointment, and I can't tell you how helpful it is hear you talk about what happened on the day and how you will move forward. In my eyes, you, Rachel, are someone to be admired and applauded and an athlete I aspire to be like. Thank you.
Thanks for being your true honest selves!! I cried tears with you, Rachel during your sharing of how your race went. Knowing your body and what’s best for YOU, is the greatest strength you can have. So bravo to you!!! Thanks for sharing the journey
Rachel please don’t apologize for showing ur emotions as they are the window to the heart/drive that fuels what you do! Great to see you racing and you will rebuild and be back! Andre great job controlling the controllables and keep training as it is only a matter of time!!! Thanks for sharing guys!
So great to see you (Rachel) being really smart and self-aware whilst managing an injury. It's great to see you still toe-ing the start line to do what you can!
I feel your frustration...being a father of a triathlete who had his share of tuff races it is a tuff process when you put in so much work. Des Moines was my son's first 70.3 ish race and it was a good day for him. Much needed after several tuff races...take some time to heal and get back at it.
You are both so inspiring and fun. Its really refreshing for a back of a packer to see the rawness of a front of the packer.....I'm going to really miss you guys! Andre - Good Luck at Rev3!
I think this is the beauty of the triathlon channels like yours and other non-Lionel/Lucy channels is it helps build out the story of professionals in triathlon. Keep up the excellent content!
That's our world of triathlon, good days and bad days... we just learn from the bad ones. Good call Rachel so you can kick butt in the next one. This was an excellent video, i really enjoy it... Suerte Andre this weekend!!!
Well, as usual, there's still lots of sincerity in your video. That's why I keep on watching you. Standing up after falling is the best way to learn, to improve so keep believing in your strength, you'll reach your goals, for sure. It might be hard for me to support you on a race day, as I live in Tahiti, but I have a lot of respect for your work, so at least you have my 2.0 support! Tomorrow I fly to France for my first full distance, with the support of my wife and two daughters, but your videos help me to stay focus (as I train for 8 months now). All the best, kind regards.
Where were the Sour Gummy worms? And the JDC cap wasn’t on backwards …. I do appreciate your sincere reflection (thank you for sharing)….. keep being strong…keep the effort going !
I am just an age grouper, so I will never know the pressure you guys are under. But it looks like you guys need to take a legit off season. Or at least make sure that you get physically recovered all the way. I hope a speedy recovery and hope the best for you guys.
We both had a legit off season this year-Probably longer than we’ve both ever had 😆 will take a short mid-season break then hit it again💪🏼 We have a long term plan! Thanks for the support!!
My friends bike ended up going MIA on the way back from Des Moines. Last we checked it was in Sacramento (we're in Santa Barbara). They really should open up slides thats all I want for my cool down. haha. That race was tough I was just mentally tired by the start of the race. So sorry for how much you've had the issues with your knee that really is so shitty I think you made the right call though long term. Also I'm way too impressed with your video turnaround, I'm rushing to get it out by Friday hahahaha.

I just want to give you a hug. Rachel you did the right thing. Fight another day.
Thank you! She did!!

Yes, there are definitely some hard days and I know this won’t be the last of the hard days, but it is an incredible sport at the end of the day!
