You are right, I have used both operating systems for about three years now and i can honestly say that IOS always tries to bring me back to using an iphone because of its more reliable OS on the other hand I'm currently owning a Galaxy s7 edge and its doing good for a year and a half of daily heavy usage; but however theres so many things that i feel that are not well optimized in this android device sometimes the lag kills me and it does freeze for couple seconds and sometimes it restarts by its self. Although i really like these features that samsung trying to put on there devices and i truly wish Apple would step up their game and start implementing these features to its phones.
I have an s7. Fantastic phone, amazing display an camera but the battery drain by android is just too much. Add the updates by the carrier and Samsung and this is not the phone I bought at launch. After a year I lost more than 20% of my battery's health. I really want a note 8 but I feel I will regret it like it did with my s3 and bootloading g3. I feel like I'm downgrading but at the end, the iphones lack of stand by drain will be enough for me. Google needs to get their asses to fix that.
just one bad thing i noticed, you compared the 32gb iphone 7 prices to the new 64gb iphone 8 prices. i just think its fair to compare equal specs, not lowest possible.
oh which im aware, but their prices shouldnt be compared as though they are equal. i dont say a 64gb flash drive is more expensive than a 32gb just because the company that makes the 64gb model doesnt make a 32gb model. its comparing apples to oranges.

I just recently switched from the Galaxy S8 to the IPhone 8 + and so far, so good. The last time I used an iPhone was the 4 haha. It’s very difficult to leave Android when you’re so use to it’s userability and flexibility, but I’m giving iPhone a chance, we’ll see.

The OLED screen on my s8 plus is really cool but side by side it's hard to tell the difference. I wish i had the speaker that the i7 Plus has but i like my camera much better. The glass on my 8+ is the worst! I’ve never had a cracked up screen before this one! I feel like it’s a lot easier to mess up this screen than the other models. I’ve been an avid iPhone user since the 2nd model.

I already ordered my iPhone 8 Plus. I'm switching from Android to iPhone so, for me, it's not a big deal about how much of an upgrade it is from the 7 Plus. Personally, I think the 8 Plus is worth the money because I think it is actually a big improvement over the 7 Plus. Everyone is like "It's only got this and this and this and this and this... but it's not a real upgrade." Um, I think that makes it a rather good upgrade. You have a new processor for much faster speed, new graphics chip for much faster speed, True Tone display, wireless charging, the better video recording, bluetooth 5.0, etc. That seems like a big upgrade to me.
I just had my IPhone 6 Plus screen stop loading icons. So I had to get something to pair with Apple 🍎 Car 🚗 play. So I went into the store and went for the 8Plus so it would be similar to my IPHONE 6 Plus. I like the speakers 🔊 better and the True Tone is actually helpful in the Evenings. For these 2 Improvements I am thankful and it’s pretty close to the use of my IPhone 6. So for me. I don’t like the notch! I don’t like losing the “Home Button!” Also I have to have a large keyboard so I can see it and not touch multiple keys. I also miss the Ear Phone Jack that I used to plug my music into my stereo all day and that left my charger free. I also have 2 sets of premium head phones that use the Head phone Jack. So I am forced to Get the 8 Plus it seems to me. Anyway I will hunt a wireless charger so I can play my stereo again. Thank you

For someone migrating from Android that wants an iPhone, large screen, touch ID. The only answer is the 8 plus. Because the X doesn't have touch ID and I find that to be very stupid. And buying the 7 plus is 20 dollars cheaper than the 8 plus if you consider storage, because buying an iPhone with less than 64 GB is like buying a rock, a very expensive rock. So yeah, iPhone 8 plus for me.
