Yeah awesome!! I have 2 Violinatrons, and my custom one has a looper & other features…it’s really an awesome revolutionary instrument VOLTA created and there are so much more possibilities to explore, so make your own custom request guys😉👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Yeah man! It was seeing your looper violin that got me excited to work with Marat in the first place! Volta fam!! If you're ever in Boston let me know!
Not sure what you mean... There's some background music when I'm talking, but the only sounds during the violin playing are coming from the Volta... Thanks for watching though!
Thanks for the comment. I'm happy to report that the Volta's speaker is neither cheap nor noisy (at least, not in terms of noise floor... it's designed to produce sound but I'm not sure what you mean otherwise.) I like the way it sounds, and sometimes the stage volume on shows I play necessitates wearing ear plugs anyway, so YMMV 🙂
Ah! This you don't have to worry about any more than you would on an acoustic violin (although there's an argument to be made for hearing protection even for orchestral violinists...) The speakers give some monitoring in a way that's similar to an acoustic instrument.@@mikeregan3265
No idea... I haven't weighed it. Call Electric Violin Shop and they can tell you the specs, probably! Can you say more about being "weakish?" It's much lighter than, say, a guitar or a bass, but it is heavy compared to other violins. The good news is the weight is all near the chin rest, so if you have a good setup it doesn't feel heavy, IMO.
@@RobFlaxMusic weak arms, skinny bones lol. I already use a shoulder rest for my giraffe neck, so if that’s where the weight mostly is then just having the right set up would probably make it work even for me. I’ve messaged the shop so maybe I can get a comparison idea to be sure.🤞🏼 I want it soooo much. *starts lifting weights
Hello Rob! Great video! How does this compare to your Glasser violin? Would you still take the volta outdoors regardless? I have the glasser aex model and thinking of getting a volta like this but I'm nervous of it not having the protection of carbon fiber. What are your thoughts?
Thanks so much! I have been road testing the Volta all summer, and in a few months I'll post an update. So far so good! It's held up in extreme heat-90+ degree weather (Fahrenheit), humidity, etc. The Glasser is basically indestructible, but it doesn't have the built in delay circuit. Both are fantastic instruments and I highly recommend both!
Totally! It's amazing. Check out EVS's website: www.electricviolinshop.com/volta-violinatron-d5-flaxatron-rob-flax-signature-custom-hybrid-violin.html If you use FLAX10 you'll get 10 percent off this or any Volta!

Like the Glasser, it's also a 5 String Violin so you do get that Iconic Vibe from Bobby Hicks who invented the 5 String Violin.

Oh I’m super glad@@RobFlaxMusic!!Ok I’ll let you know if I come around!!We’re in touch😀👍🏽
The background music is really distracting from the message you are trying to convey!

Can I get a Hell Yeah 👍💯
Having a cheap noisy loudspeaker with delay under my left ear would necesstitate ear plugs, which kinda sucks..

@@RobFlaxMusic noisy as in loud. Perhaps repositioning the speaker further away from the ear would be better.
