Editors - No Harm at Werchter 2016

- Werchter is magic to this band. Belgian fans just connect with Editors on a level that's rarely matched around the world, and I'm not sure why that is. European sensibilities, maybe? Whatever the reason is, it's a festival that has become somewhere that the band seem to just be completely at home playing. I think that 2012 appearance was a complete game-changer in terms of its significance to Editors, as they were effectively reborn as a new group on that stage. The crowd are always ready to open their arms and welcome these people to their town (song reference alert, ho ho!).
This is No Harm at Werchter 2016, and it's a perfect lesson in establishing a mood, building musical drama and then fading out the way you came in. The full band aren't even completely present on stage when the song starts, instead they appear and join incrementally as the music increases in size. The moment at the end where Tom is standing right next to Ed, swaying back and forth with his head down is so perfect. A great song from an amazing show. Awesome - No Harm is such a wonderful slow burn classic. I wonder why there is not a full upload of this 2016 concert from one of the Belgian channels - most RW concerts are uploaded in full and they headlined this one too. Very little video evidence to be found on YT sadly.

P.S. Well, he is not tired here. As it turned out, his perfomance from Pinkpop 2018 was super epic, he sang by other way than in studio version at that performance in Pinkpop, with special sparks
He was not tired at all. Seen Editors 5 times. This was by far the best. Show was electric. Didn't like In Dream that much - still not a major fan - but this was making up for it big time.
tom never disappoints whether he's tired or not.
