This shows that love does not have a timeline. I was with my ex for almost 8 years, he proposed to me on our last year together and we never moved in together or had kids. Alondra, don't feel bad because everyone has toxic traits about them. No matter how little or big. I was also guilty of getting mad at little things and threatening to leave because I wanted to feel like a man cared enough to chase me. I thought that solidified his feelings for me. However, I learned if I was mad over something little or had no control over I can't expect a man to chase after me unless he was absolutely in the wrong. My ex was like Benny and he never stopped me from leaving and I was offended when he didn't like you. But that doesn't mean they don't care about you. My ex also thought that behavior was childish and he argued that I am an adult so if I make the decision to leave then he is not going to stop me. He's going to respect my decision and give me my space. But he felt like I only threatened to leave as a test of his feelings for me. And honestly, he wasn't wrong. But once you are secure with yourself then you become more secure in your relationship. You start to evolve out of those toxic behaviors. Be proud that you're aware of the areas in which you were toxic and that you acknowledged them and made a gradual commitment to become better. It goes to show what great character you have because it takes humility and humbleness to own up your imperfections.

Not that either of you see or have the time to read every comment. But I find it necessary to apologize to you both. I pre judged you guys based on how Benny was acting towards alondra after the baby was born. I thought oh no now they are getting to know each others true selves. And it's not what they thought it would be. I was wrong. Dead wrong. Both of you have really impressed me. Having your first child is really tough for even the strongest of couples who have been together forever. As someone who suffers from a lot of the same mental issues as alondra. My heart broke for her. And the fact you are both so happy, loving and compassionate towards one another. And have worked through the issues that come with having your first baby.
