I love these two as individuals and as a married couple. I really think that the humility they both have is a huge part of their happiness together. A happy marriage takes a lot of humility on both ends. It makes you care about how you treat the other person and it evokes that mutual respect for one another. They BOTH respect each other without exceptions. At some point in a relationship, each person will be offended or hurt by something the other spouse did; that's inevitable. But humility will cause you to come together and set aside pride without judgement, and to see each other as still deserving of respect and forgiveness regardless of those offenses. Im sure they have had occasions like this already, but they still maintain so much love and adoration for one another because they are both extremely humble even though they both are outgoing.
I also like that the concept of "alpha" male, seen in Russel, is not demonstrated by arrogance and condescension. Being humble is what so many think is "being soft". And again, their consideration of each other's feelings goes back to the humility they both have. Being humble seems to stretch across many areas of the success in their marriage.
I'm truly happy for the both of these two.
Edit: And Lmbo!! I was cracking up when he said something like, "You can go ahead and tell the story" at about 3:40 when Ciara, seemingly out of excitement, was kind of taking over the conversation. An arrogant man looking for fault would have made that out to be a capital offense or made it seem as if she was "self-absorbed" when we can clearly see she is just outgoing and got excited. Lol Again, humility and mutual respect there keeps that poor judgement and "looking for fault" attitude out of the marital equation. It makes it so much easier to be open and to have fun with each other when you know that the other spouse is not "peeping you out" on the sly in a very critical and judgemental way like an enemy on the outside would. Both people should be each other's "safe space" and I see that between these two. Perfectly demonstrated!
