He is back training with high level wrestling coach Salim Selbievich in Chechnya who was an early mentor to khamzat and coach to the legendary Buvaisar Saitiev. Khamzat seems good with his chances against DDP. And when I thought about it, I could see his point. Grappling heavy (Khamzat is fine with that) and as for power, I think Khamzat feels he wins that exchange. The thing is, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has underestimated DDP. So by your logic I should hold DDP’s lackluster performances over his head as well? Like how he did in the Tavares,Till, and Brunson fight? Winning is all that matters doesn’t matter how you get it done or how good your performance is at the end of the day. He’s undefeated as well and the whole world is doubting/hating on him. IMO he’s the most underrated fighter in history right now. 💯🎯

khamzat is really top tier championship material. the only glaring hole in his game is his pacing and severe cardio issues. now we have yet to see how he's gonna perform against rob but either way it's going to be a TALL task for Rob to beat him. We've never seen khamzat in lot of trouble in any of his fights other than his own cardio failing him. (yes I'm aware he went "life and death" with burns but he was never really dominated. it was a back and forth where he wanted to finish burns however possible.

    • @deheimer

@@homework9102definitely. people are very quick to jump ships at the very first sign of a weakness. in this case Its just his cardio, not much else. pre COVID Hamza could beat any WW and MW on planet, it's my opinion. but even right now if he has fixed his cardio somewhat and/or learned to pace himself he can still do big things in the sport.

    • @stevencorey143

@@homework9102 plessis situation isn't the same, he was a small name who created himself into a big name and capitalized on the fights that came with it.

@@deheimer I never said he couldn't do big things
I just said he looks more like a forever contender than a future champion
Whittaker will show us what's what with Chimaev.
Win or lose we will know the true caliber of Chimaev.
If the dude lacks in cardio (as he has shown) he won't ever win a 5 round fight that's went the full distance
