They should have been made into a duo. This battle was stupid. The way their voices feed perfectly off each other is pure magic. Max has the more rugged type voice while Bill's voice is so soft and pure. Max has more energy but Bill's reserved stage presence keeps Max under control. They balance each other out so amazingly. Would've have been an AMAZING duo to have come up through the music industry.
Their voices are completely different. So it would be hard to make it into a duo with them. Plus, it wouldn't make sense if they did a duet. Max's voice is rough, but builds up a confident and good voice. And Bill's voice is soft and not as rough, so if they did a duo, it would probably have sound horrible.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They sound so good together, and you explained their dynamic perfectly. It's such a shame this was a battle and one of them had to leave. I like their version of the song much better than the original.

I love how this battle sort of goes against your expectations. Max looks more like your quiet reserved type, while Bill looks a little more rough and ready, yet their voices and performances are the complete opposite.
@AdamEfimoff max just kinda shouted at the end. The other guy was clearly a better singer. But max did have a hat.

For me Bill should have won, I look at Max and I can't help but think "asshole", everything about him screams that his a douche, but unfortunately that is his draw- chicks dig assholes and don't fall over themselves for goody two shoes like Bill looks he might be. That is why ultimately Max passed through.
That's not to say I don't think he is a good singer or has a great voice- I still think that of all the 3 season this 'battle' was by far the best. This performance was amazing!
