I stumbled upon your vid by chance. Thanks for sharing. I am myself in the midst of building a H-S-H super-Strat with Warmoth parts, all humbuckers coil-splittable, 1 master vol, 1 master tone, a 5-way switch, numerous mini-toggle switches for coil-splitting & pickups on/off. The piezo upgrade will be a great addition but I reckon it would need its own vol & tone pots, and that will make my 'War-Mammoth' pick-guard look like an aircraft cockpit. I also happen to have a spare acoustic guitar preamp lying around. What is your opinion if I put that into the circuitry? (I may have to mount the preamp externally and use an on/off/on switch to active the piezo system.)
Hi thanks for the very interesting video. Which brand and model piezo pick-up are you using here ? can it be glued in position or better not ? regards, gino
Ok,, would this sound less " trebly" if it were run through a standard on board acoustic pre amp? I want to use it as a " stand alone" in a guitar I'm building now,,it will have classical strings, but I prefer to use a strat bridge instead of an acoustic guitar bridge
Brodi Valos Band for a telecasts bridge I would done small grove the size of the pick up just deep enough so the pick up is in contact with the bridge base under the saddles
Hi mate that's Easyer just cut a groove in the body under the bridge make sure it's tight and the top of the pickup touches the bottom of the bridge then run your wires through the earth wire cavity if that makes sense
Great you started a video and didn't finish it so we will never know how you wired it up cheers nice one thanks for that.
What a good idea! I regret that you have not included in your video a sample of the results. I would like to hear how it sounds.
Take a look at this video on UA-cam:

Hi mate here is the link
A bit of super glue to hold 'nuts' in place (or some funky underwear). Superglue also works for holding the piezo inplace whist srewing together.
Weird intro but I liked it, can't go wrong with explosions
how about a file, filing a groove into the steel block? beside that, thank you for the very cool vid, quite informing cool stuff
Nice idea - how would you do this on a tune o matic/les paul style bridge?

You need some SUPER GLUE on your Saddle Stick... 😊
I am very surprised you didn't get negative comments saying you took away tone from original bridge

What about with a Les Paul bridge. How to bild a piezo in Les Paul?
does the wire side of the piezo rod ordinarily go on treble or bass side? you said bas side, but you put it on the other side.
How did this ended up sounding on your Strat did you make another video for that
Beautifully concise! Any tips for a tele bridge. I’m looking to piezo my Thinline while avoiding Fishman. Any guidance would be grand!

Please check out my “Telecaster mod with piezo pickup” here on UA-cam!
great!! i want to do this to my washburn x series, but i'm a little afraid cos it has a floyd rose.
Hey Stiggy!, how I can install the piezo underneath another type of bridge as a fixed bridge ibanez ??

Stiggy'sGuitar Loft Thanks buddy!!
thanks for sharing i'm going to do this upgade on my fender!
I miss to see the last part. How it is assembled.?
can you make a video for les paul bridge piezo upgrade?
I’m really late but would this work for a floyd rose?
So simple, its genius
No preamp??
Have you wired it through the tone control ?
Where's the sound?
