About the Author
Eileen Younghusband was born in London in 1921. After serving and defending her country she had a successful career in the hotel management and catering industries. She ran a wide variety of businesses, from selling herbs to supplying thousands of tons of scrap metal to a company in Spain.
At the age of 87, Eileen graduated from the Open University as one of its students of the year.
Now 94, Eileen lives in Sully, Wales where she remains an active campaigner on health and education issues and attends computer, French and Spanish lessons.
When she’s not giving regular talks about the women of the WAAF or the radar rooms she continues to write.
