    Dude, best video for this on UA-cam by far. I'm thankful that you made this and that I found it!

    Very thought and you show the whole process. thank you very much. I got my first 4x4. i have a issue with controlling the bronco when there's divot or small bump on the road. it feels like it gets air and kinda goes one way or another while shaking the whole truck. I replaced pivot bushings, anti sway links, track arms bushings, tie rod and ends, shocks, and now wheel bearings. I feel the bearings may solve the issue, but have been dealing with this 10 yrs now. Have you experienced this. Or know what I should investigate next.

      I’m glad you found this video helpful! Sound like you might have what they call bump steer, there’s a lot of stuff that could cause it, steering box had play or if the steering damper is worn. I would guess it’s a steering component more than anything. Hopefully this helps.

    Just found one with 100k on it. Restoring this little 300 v6. Thanks I like watching videos before I dive in. You got any more videos on this truck? I'll be doing the entire exhaust next

      Oh awesome, that’ll be a great truck. Mine is also a straight 6 and it just rolled 170k. I am editing up a fuel pump video and it should be posted within the week. I also recently purchased a 1977 f250. I will probably make videos on that as well if that is of any interest to people.

    There is also a bearing in the back side of the spindle that should be greased while youre that far in there.

      @bigbill709 that’s true you could also do that needle bearing.

    Agree with everyone, this is a really well put together video. What is the Jack that you are using. That looks way easier/better than my old school Floor Jack and Jack Stands combo

      Thank you! I am glad you found the video helpful. The lift is a Napa challenger scissor lift. It lifts the entire vehicle which certainly is convenient at times.

    what’s that special socket called

    • @alittleofalot5171
      @alittleofalot5171 Рік тому

      It’s a Performance Tool Spindle Nut Wrench, PT W1271. I believe it’s the same for bronco/f150 from 1980-1996.

    I can’t believe you put that seal in with a metal hammer … I’ve done lots of semi wheel bearings and seals … working on a 94.5 F250 ..worried about puttin the seal in wrong … guess I’ll quit worrying

      I’m sure some people would tell you not to but I find if you gently tap it evenly all the way around it goes in properly even with a metal hammer.

    You do this ever 5k miles?!?! That's alot of work for doing it every oil change...

    • @alittleofalot5171
      @alittleofalot5171 2 роки тому +2

      It’s definitely a hassle but I run large tires and do a lot of off road driving. The roller bearings are usually spun clean right around 5k miles and to avoid having them seize I always repack. Hopefully you will be able to do yours less frequently.

      I have to do mine, my bronco has been sitting since high school(2016) and it needs all of the bearings, there us a grinding sound coming from.the hub, I'm assuming it's those gears. I'm gonna do the gears, radiator support and steering box, then it should be road ready. Plan to do a frame off resto in the future
