Mike Ritland and Shawn Ryan are the 2 best shows on these platforms. The amount of time and effort is second to none. Keep at it and we all enjoys the views and talks.
Mike Drop & You as a Host have really grown & evolved into an awesome Podcast experience! Really look forward to new guests each week & watching past episodes in between.
Being a physician, I totally agree with your attitude, we are not required to save everyone, them or us, we choose Us. I appreciate your honesty, real stories from a real dude.
Holy shit. I can’t even fucking work listening to this. Marcus luttrell saved my fucking life and I love listening to his story from different perspectives. Thank you guys for this.
Leo, hats off! well done. Your plan for the daughter are great! Your lifestyle sounds great! Mike, good on ya for bringing Leo onto the podcast. 70 year old vet, adventures pretty much over.
Hey mike, amazing podcast. Thank you so much for your service, both in the military and in providing these episodes. 2 ideas for guests that I think would be great: 1) Someone from federal law enforcement (DEA, Marshals, etc). There is very little information out there on federal LE, far less than the military. It would be great to honor their service and also to give people aspiring to that sort of career something to look towards. 2) On the Shawn Ryan show, you mentioned that on your deployment in the invasion of Iraq, your platoon took a regular Navy guy who volunteered when someone quit and who went to the teams after that deployment. I think you said he’s still in but it would be amazing to have him on. These are just a couple ideas. Thanks again!
Mike, I really dig how these conversations start with a touch of (deserved) bravado and stories of either great pride or a touch of counter-culture. This interview profiles humility as, I think, most in that profession have. I like the story about the dog. My dog is getting older but still defends the entire family from anything he sees as threat and with no formal training. Medics and Great Dogs are Blessing to us all. Stay Proud and moving Forward.
Thank you for what you do Mike. These stories are hard to share but sometimes it's nesscary to tell these amazing but sometimes difficult to hear stories... would love to see some more interviews with some Vietnam Vets and if there is any left then some Korea Vets as well. I feel Korea never gets the attention it deserves... thanks for what you do Mike and thank you to all those who have given their life for this country, thank you for your service
One of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. I still have so many questions I wanna ask him. Even tho I wasn’t in the military I can definitely relate to the struggles of finding a job after college. Even entry level jobs you’d think you would be hired right away at, like being a bar back in case, if you don’t have experience it doesn’t matter what your resume says. I’m definitely gonna listen to this again. I feel like I can relate to this guy on so many levels from the traveling to stopping college 3 classes shy, to the writing. You’ve definitely given me some hope moving forward.
Appa Loosa who in the 2a community is gunna beat his ass??? Certainly not you and anyone you know. You know he was an actual pro fighter right? He also killed people on the pro level as well....you should just stop. He doesn't owe you dorks anything. Cry somewhere else over another mans opinion.
Leo, if you travel with your family... I hope you could share your experiences! I think many people, like me, would enjoy following your adventures. (If you cared to share). Best of luck to you and your family.
Thing i would love to see in 2021: Tu Lam (Ronin Tactics) as guest on mike drop 😀 And of course the return of Mike glover, Shawn ryan and Kevin owens 😃
Saluting Mike for yet another awesome show, interview, you name it this my Top 3 Podcasts thus far. Terry Houin's was an incredible one and i can beat my job this is going to be an incredible one as well. Hooyah to you brother.
Had to pause it a second and give y'all a dog story I know. About 30 year's ago my friend was walking down the road and a K9 cop had stopped behind my friend and was yelling for him to stop. He didn't he kept walking because he had headphones on and didn't hear him and he let his dog go. The dog ripped a chunk of my friends ass off. He had to go to the ER. Had lot's and lots of stiches. His dad was an attorney and sued the city...he won because he was temporarily deaf due to the headphones....had it been a deaf guy he wouldn't have heard him either. Part of the lawsuit was to teach the officers that people can be deaf or temporarily deaf...and not to let that happen again. Anyway thought I'd tell that story. Have a great day.
You can completely stop drug use the pain just has to grow to a place where you cannot tolerate it...... this is a great episode as per usual mike you always do such a great fucming job I hope one day I get to meet you
Leo seems to be an interesting guy. On one hand I envy his experiences traveling, on the other hand, however, I find the ways in which he traveled -- the lack of funds and the rough accommodations -- to be entirely unappealing. I'm a retired firefighter/paramedic for one of America's largest cities, so the medic stories (and Leo's fire dept. legacy) were fascinating to me... I'll definitely check out the books. Thanks for sharing... that was three hours well spent.
Can't believe hw uch you have done and experienced t help people, now out there living lives that you helped o preserve for them.how could anyone have known you would have affected so many lives in s many ways? The nation's pride in you and the men & women who served with you.
That private that made the call about the cash over the radio ended up being my squad leader. I remember that story, but never thought I’d hear it from another perspective.
I'm obsessed with ORWs so anytime I get any new info I'm all ears...I read his (Marcus's) debrief on SOFREP as well as every other book, video, documentary, speech, newspaper article, etc.
I understand ur point but do me a favor watch London Real podcast and tim ferriss podcast with him and let me know if u dont change ur mind a little about him I mean no shade toward u honestly them 2 made me the fan I am
John Murphy I've heard a bunch of people say it's almost impossible to get time with tim...Andy stumpf said he's gotta schedule a couple months out at least and not for long periods of time. Mike doesn't like doing zoom or remote podcasts so tim would have to make time for it and apparently that's not easy for him.
Mike needs to start interviewing ex porn stars. It's right up his alley. He would love to hear there war stories about being attacked by giant one eyed snakes
I was Sniper n after i got out i went to school for aesthetics and nails. I was the only dude at every shop I worked at. I KILLED it with the pulling tail. Was allot of fun in my late 20s early 30s.
Get Patstone and his stache on. That would be legendary.

Anyone of the instructors from class 234 would be great

“ hurry up, don’t slow down” lol.... patstone n his spo2 machine of knowledge
Are you always this stupid or do you normally talk this dumb?
I've said it before, this is the best content on youtube without question.
So a Mexican warrior that came to America to live was on Shawn Ryan’s show, and an American warrior that went to Mexico is now on Mikes. What a time.
I believe that Mexican warrior was also on Mike's show (Mike Drop podcast)
Edit: was it Angel Cortez?

I have to admit, at least half of why I watch the podcast, is for the last introduction line of the guest. 🤘🏼
