The Sword that comes with it at least in the American version is known as The Serpent Sword. So the sword isn't a bird it's supposed to be a dragon type thing.
There's also the fact that the two other members have their own personal mecha composed of two parts that combines with the original mecha into a gianter mecha.
Nice review! One of the only sentai mechs I can think of where the red ranger's mech forms such a tiny component! I guess revenge was had in Abaranger where the red ranger's mech was 70% of the body and the yellow ranger was... 5%. Looking forwards to the rest.

I actually went to a convention in japan where the creators of huricanger were there. I asked them if this was true and they said basically the foundation came from liveman.
Frankly, the two groups are different in some respects: The blue Hurricanger is a Girly-Girl compared to the one on Liveman. In Liveman, yellow was a dumb jock, while Hurricanger's yellow was more like the brains of HIS outfit. And last, but not least, the red Liveman's animal spirit was a Falcon, not a hawk.

Which is why I thought to let you know this: In your video, you said that there had been no Sentai mecha like this before or since, but if you look through the previous Sentai series' the main mecha for Choujuu Sentai Liveman, you'll find that it is made up of a Falcon (which is close enough to a Hawk), a Lion and a Dolphin. Not criticising; I just thought it would be nice to know.
@ brollicon: the american versions lost most of the chrome and die-cast metal. the only shiny part on the american storm power megazord is the chest hatch. hurricanger/ninja storm was for bandai america the start of going cheap on the megazords, which culminated with operation overdrive and RPM, which had all-new molds, respectively larger and smaller but with less features. i've got a link to rangerboard where they list all the differences between the japanese and american versions.
there's a gimmick to the KoriBalls. There's a button on the back of the senpuujin and when you push it the ball will hopefully roll out onto the door/chest.
Besides, Power Rangers Ninja Storm is NOT an English dub of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger, it is an adaptation. PRNS is to NSH is what grape juice is to grapes.
@baltmatrix I think you can, my buddy got both Japanese versions of Gao King and the samurai green ranger zord (that i don't remember the name of the japanese) and the Green's zord could replace the arms of the Gao King perfectly, so I supose that the others could, even in the Gao/Hurri cross over they combined. And suppousing that, the SPD zords could interchange arms with the Wild Force ones, so they could work for Ninja storm as well '-'
Is it just me or is Hurricanger actually a sentai series tributed to Liveman? I mean, consider these facts: (the comparison is made between the first 3 warriors only) - The yellow warriors are male and the blue warriors are female, from both series - The animal designation from both series are nearly the same, for instance, the falcon or hawk represent the red warriors, the lion for the yellow warriors, and the dolphin for the blue warriors.
Their both pretty much the same; one forms the body and an arm, one forms the other arm and one forms the head. Except iin the thundersaurus megazord the head also provides a chestplate so i guess it's *slightly* better balanced
that black exclusive of him and .... i forget the other mecha for the names is expensive almost over 200 dollars on ebay but its sort of worth it if u got the cash IMO lol
Hurricanger was a pretty cool series, way better than Ninja Storm I'll tell ya, but the weapons the rangers use and the mechs use were the stupidest, not including Hurricane Yellow's hammer, cuz it's a hammer, and the Goraijers' weapons.

I've seen Hurricanger. Your statement is subjective. Plus, you're complaining about Power Rangers Ninja Storm having stuff not related to Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger, when they are different shows. While you're at it, you might as well complain how MMPR season 2 and MMPR season 3 deviates from GSD and NSK.

The head transformation on Hurricane Hawk is somehow close too what Crane Zord does during the Ninja MegaZord combination.
Actually,they did just remove chrome and die-cast from the Senpuujin and removed the gold paint from the Hawk's tail.
Due to the floppyness of the eagle sword you could say it's a whip.
Speda, if you also know, these zords use 3 of the 4 elements; Wind, water, and earth.
