NOTE: Most motion sensors simply detect motion and turn lights on. But what if you want to watch a movie in a dark room or theater? You don't want your motion (or another guests') turning on lights every time they enter, exit or even move around...but you DO want them to get to and from their seat without tripping in the dark. Problem finally solved!
We show you how to set up a new type of #aqara ‪@Aqara‬ radar sensor that detects movement into and out of a zone to do exactly what we want! This video shows how to configure the sensor so that it detects 1) the room is dark; 2) notices someone approaching a seating area in the back of the theater; 3) softly lights up a hidden LED light strip around the steps and' 4) turns off the lights when they sit down. Bonus: it also 5) notices someone leaving that seating area in the back of the theater; 6) softly lights up the LED light strip around the steps so they can see where to step down and; 7) turns off the lights when they leave the room. AMAZING!!
