The longer I practice frugality/saving/budgeting, the more options/choices and power over my life I feel like I have which is a really great motivator in itself. One thing I do to leave room for purchases in my budget and keep fatigue away is put a little bit of money in sinking funds towards clothes and fun every month, so while I don’t spend from it regularly, it builds up and then I have that money set aside for “spontaneous”purchases without actually compromising budget and savings goals.
I am a weird one who is happiest when I see my savings and retirement going up but I am learning to balance that with spending on things that I need or even just want within reason.
When I am tired of watching my budget, I often watch one of your videos. This month has been challenging..... it helps to hear this message - that I can plan to do "vacation" things during my weekends. Like hitting a pool, sitting around reading a book for a few hours, going for a hike in the area...... love the message Kate !!!
Something that just came to me...frugal doesn’t mean how cheap can you live, rather how much value can you get from the purchases you make. I would rather spend a bit more on something that will give me more value/enjoyment than something that I will be disappointed with and frustrated that I spent the money on it. The latter scenario will probably have me going out to buy something else and spending more money in the end.
When I’m feeling frugal fatigue I usually go and look at my savings and smile 😃 then I go on a clearance hunt to find the best little thing that I want or need for the least amount of money💰 simple but effective for me! Thanks for all of your advice Kate, you are such an inspiration! 💖
Frugal fatigue is utterly pants! I've always been frugal, but since becoming medically retired and on a disability budget...money is tight! However, I appreciate what I have, luxury is a good coffee, a good book,a lovely candle,my garden, time with family and friends and saving for a spa day😊
Started to feel guilty about spending some of my stimulus money on me and then remembered part of it's purpose is stimulating the economy. Bought new tennis shoes, an exercise bike I've been eyeing for a year, and registration for a half marathon. Money well spent on my health and wellness.
We are on a competitive baseball team and in order to afford it we bring PB and Js to the games and it just seems like all the other families go out to eat at restaurants after every game. I have to just talk to myself and remind myself they are probably in debt and stressed. It just doesn't seem like it, that's the feeling I want. Just carefree! But we can't because I'm too responsible!
Happy Weekend, Kate!! I too have chosen to live frugally for the last 20 years and have accomplished so much! Now and then, usually once a quarter, I get frugal fatigue. We have a very large emergency fund and I will spend a small amount on something for the house! I’m not materialistic at all but I love improving my home! This Spring we are getting the house painted and new outside lights!! I can’t wait! Our house is overdue to be painted! That will hold me until this Fall! Homes always need upgrades!!!
A very large emergency fund sounds AMAZING! I'm so proud of you! Oooh, house painted this Spring and new outside lights! I bet you are going to LOVE your upgrades! So excited for you. Thank you for sharing Connie!
I never thought of frugal fatigue that way before. I get frustrated every once in a while when my husband & I don’t get to spend as much time together as I would like. My frugal kryptonite has to be wanting to go out to a nice dinner with him. We used to have monthly date nights but sometimes I wanted to make it more often. He is my accountability partner. Whenever I feel like I want to spend on something even as small as a dinner he reminds me that that money can be used for something else. I think having an accountability partner can really help when you’re having a moment of frugal fatigue. At work before Covid I used to feel frugal fatigue more often because everyone around me was ordering lunches every other day and it’s $13 a day. I had a picture of the Disney Castle on my computer and I would focus on it because we were saving everything we could for our vacation. That really was helpful too. Wonderful job as always Kate! I really enjoyed it.
Anytime I get a five dollar 💵 bill in change I put it in an envelope and it adds up quickly and that becomes a splurge fund. It’s important to distinguish between a “need” and a “want” also. Love your videos 😍
I was having a little frugal fatigue, so I bought myself some new items for my capsule wardrobe, basics really. It was long overdue to replace the old things I was running around with and look more put together. It’s also important to not let yourself go. I did and still do feel a little guilty. But now I have all the things I need for the rest of the year and will be perfect! 🌸
Thanks Kate 👍 "Why? 🙄" 😂 Your face has the answer 🙂🤨🙁 "Money for me" good name for the line item in your budget! Flip the food to eat out by decreasing groceries (also helps with food waste). Your money challenge was useful & fun 😊 "What happens?" Brilliant question to ask. Security is better than spending. Time change meant I watched you in the first hour, hope it helps. Hi Buns & Mr Hanum. Happy frugal Friday 🥳 I hope your channel challenge connects 💡
I love those trusty glasses! Regarding frugal fatigue -- it can be a real thing. This is why I keep a certain amount of " mad crazy cash" $20 monthly allowance for anything I want. 9 out of 10x I don't touch it. But knowing its there is very nice! Oh yes, ff is real. During the times of my life when money was tight, I still made sure I had a little to buy a treat. It could be just a couple of chocolates from the Godiva store, or one time I bought a pricey beautiful embroidered shower curtain from an expensive store in Southern Calif. . These things (among others) made me feel rich, and made me feel good. It's so important for people to do special little things for themselves. It could be a small bottle of expensive lotion, soaps, or samples of a favorite fragrance, (Ebay has a lot of people who sell samples) or go to a thrift or dollar store and buy a couple of pretty things for your home or yourself. Don't forget about the clearance areas of places like Marshall's and Ross. Most of life is a choice. tfs 😘🐤💐🌵🐣🌷🐇☔🏜️🧁🌞🌼💗
Hey Kate, Buns & Mr Harum 🥰 Me and my partner have a lot of debt and and were forced to adopt a frugal lifestyle, but as we were embarking on a massive decluttering and minimalism journey it fitted in nicely and just become part of the whole process. We weren't happy with how things were going financially and felt totally out of control but since decluttering, minimalising and adopting a more simple anf frugal way of living we feel much happier even with the debts we have left- It's reassuring to know that we're doing our best with the resources that we have which will help us reach our goal of being debt free one day - Much love from the UK & see you Sunday ❤
Hi Bex! I love this comment SO much. I'm so happy you and your partner are finding ways that are working for you and you are so much happier! LOVE THIS!!!!!! See you tomorrow for Book Club!
This is how I treat myself without harming my budget. I have a credit card from Chase/Amazon. I put all my purchases on this card. This includes food, gas for my car, vet bills, all of my auto payments, etc. I pay it off each month. I get Rewards for the amount I have charged. I can go to Amazon and apply those Rewards for lots of "wants". I've waited for a while, but I just received my beautiful, blue, cast iron Dutch Oven for free, including shipping because I have Amazon Prime. Some years, I have purchased Christmas gifts for my family for free. It works for me because I only let myself use my credit card if I can pay it off in full each month. Love your videos, Kate! So glad I found your channel! I'm a Cat Mom with four furry kids myself.
It is fun to save, to budget and track and see what you reached allready! If I quit I have all different small things but maybe not the more expensive things that I really need like a good pare of shoes or a comfortable bed.
This is a great video. I had a controlled splurge on some AirPods the other day. I have like reverse buyers remorse. I just keep getting happier and happier with the purchase. This is what we work hard and save for after all, right? Security and options? The purpose of frugality is not to deny ourselves what we truly want.
Fatigue is a real thing-I remember it vividly when trying to finish paying off the house mortgage-it reminds me of when going on a trip-“are we there yet?” What got me through it was to look at my banking statement online and look at where I started-there was a dramatic difference of when I started to really chop at my mortgage and where I was at that moment-it’s a process-
Yes:) I appreciate this original take on the subject 💓 I have accomplished so much in the past 2-3 years of frugal living. Video idea on the other end of the topic: how to "forgive" yourself for not being frugal sooner? I used to spend without thought. I wasn't in a lot of debt but my savings was non-existent lol. Thanks Kate 👍
I have to remind myself WHY (as you say) I am doing what I am doing. This cuts across finances, career etc. Visualising what it will feel like to have a healthy emergency fund, savings, and investments to rely on when I am older keeps me motivated to keep on this journey when I get a bit fatigued. Great video as always!
After 50 + years, I'm learning how to be frugal, and it is so fun. My hubby ( of 2 years) had us pay cash in full for our truck 2 years ago. And things came crashing down from there. No savings. C.C. now in debt 8,000+ dollars. And then, one day about 2 months ago, you and Hope & Larry came on my feed. I have been binge-watching all kinds of videos from both channels . I'm having a blast finally learning how to budget and make goals. 🙌
I have reached the equilibrium of saving without effort and spending on things I choose without guilt. My day to day is pretty frugal (cooking from scratch, enjoying free activities, going for walks, meeting friends at my pool -total cost=2 beers- , being a minimalist, watching films and playing board games, living in a paid for flat and driving -very little- a paid for car, walking to work…) so I get to have dinner out in a terrace if I feel like to, buy x or z if I feel I need it, make a trip to the beach if we feel like it… while still having my emergency fund and a buffer in place. Life is so easy when you finally have your needs covered…
I think it helps to write down your why and verbalize it out loud to remind yourself. I think of it as a positive affirmation. My why for being frugal now is being able to go part time by end of 2021.
This is my third time watching this video! The frugality becomes second nature. Not that I don't slip up and have bouts of complusive spending and blow my budget. But I start over again and don't beat myselft up. I have come a long way. I love making savings challenges a game. I have paid off my car, saved an emergency fund (that I had to use when I was off work and have since replenished), and made some investments for retirement. Whoa.. look at me go!
Hi Kate....I'm 8 months later watching this, going into Christmas. SO disappointed in myself and my lack of money management, however, ... your shows are keeping me from getting/staying depressed. I am beginning, so that is the best thing ever, I'm not where you guys all are in the community, but I have begun. I am analysing my self, & my motives, I LOVED hearing that truth revealer. Because of all the gifts to purchase for this holiday, there is none to save till the New Year, BUT, what I am now doing is making a mental note of all the money I'm saving by not buying what I see on the shelves. And I've made the budget that works down to zero for the New Year, so excited about that. In trying to figure out what gifts to give to people who gift me from the church, and even my three adult children, I've decided to bake them all Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. I'll bake now, freeze, and ice on the day of giving. My mom used to say 'where there's a will, there's a way. But Kate, I have to say, you are a lifeline to me. I thank God our paths crossed. Working hard on not taking shame on....would be good to hear you speak on that. If you do have a link on it, could you please let me know. Kisses to Buns, whom I LOVE! (Was this too long?....sorry)
Laurette, you're making me teary on a Tuesday! Thank you so so much for sharing this with me. I'm here for you! YES! Mom is right. Where there's a will, there's a way. Let's keep going!!!! Love ya!
Even I'm 100% debt free including mortgage I feel I can't just spend freely still need to be frugal. Recently we brought 2 cars in cash, AC broke cost $5000, washer, dryer, lawn mower needs repaired. We renovated our kitchen, Bathrooms, flooring, garage, patio the list goes on. That's one thing I learned everything will need to be replaced or repair it's better to be prepared and have that money saved. So it's not a big stress but just an inconvenient.
@@KateKaden Interestingly, we had just had some requests from viewers on this topic and then I saw that you were doing it. I watched your video and caught the challenge at the end. "Great minds think alike!"
Love this video! Thanks for covering this topic! I realize that sometimes I've drifted away from frugal habits out of fear! I'm afraid that "I'm not doing it right" or that my finances are "not responding" as well as I'd planned ... thank you for facing the elephant in the room!
Please please do a video about saving your stimulus or tax refund and applying it to debt. So many people think, OMG I have a refund! New TV! Our frugal tip is to plan on our income tax refund to pay our real estate taxes.
And you already even could buy a half a pair of glasses 😎! Welcome in your fourties, I also know all about glasses🤓. I once in a while choose to spend a bit more on food over the last year. Because cooking a nice meal is our celebration of life, our gift to our self's. Setting the table with a candle, some background music like thai music when we cook Thai, and afterwards search on UA-cam for (flightsimulation) videos about Thailand. We feel like we had a nice night out but only spent extra on the mango for dessert and the candle...
@@KateKaden good morning to! Your welcome, thank you for your sparkling video🙂 Have you found your lens allready😉 hope you have a great weekend. Say hi to kaden from me please! See you on sunday! 😘
This a great idea to search to UA-cam , thank you Chantal! You are so right, food is a celebration, having our favorite meals, gathering with family and cooking is the purpose of life. Have a beautiful weekend!🤗💛
@@pigletsbank437 Awesome! We also love food and I manage to incorporate special meals into our super frugal grocery budget since I meal plan for the month. Life is to short to not spend time with family or friends and good food.😉👍
This was just what I needed to hear Today! Call it whatever "cabin/Spring fever" I usually over celebrate this time of year by overindulging myself: used-stores, eating out, charities, etc. Even though my Er. Fund is secure and my spend downs, I start to feel the need to pull in the reigns! Like "Whoa horsey, let's slow down." (Re-evaluate & tweak) I know from past lessons the headaches & misery a good frugal lifestyle brings. Thanks K & K Squad! 🤔🙄🤔😊
When frugal fatigue hits I like to put all the thing I want in my Amazon cart. Then I go subtract the amount from my savings account, 99.9% of the time I don’t like the new savings account amount. After that I go delete all the things from the cart. Kind of gives me the feeling of shopping without actually purchasing anything.
You are so right, just like you mentioned on the example when you were in the pool... there is so many things that we can do and enjoy even being frugal. I have experienced frugal fatigue at one time or another but I'm so used to being frugal, and have experienced the benefits of it, that thank God I snap out of it right away!🤣🤣😂😂 This is such a fun challenge, I will take your word on it and upload my video at the beginning of April since I have a series & a Give Away going on this month. Thank you Kate!😉💕
@@KateKaden You don't have to apologize, is not your fault. The good thing is that we know you, we recognize a fake comment, and we try to look out for you by letting you know or reporting something if it's bad. Enjoy your weekend Kate!🤗💖
This popped up in my feed after a roller coaster of having a very nice amount in the account then all but liquidating it to paybills (its purpose), set aside money for a big ticket item, and effectively set aside a good sum for some potential future income reductions. All was spent according to plan and budget, we retain our account buffer/ emergency fund, and have an spending buffer of a grand total of $161; not much but better than last month's spending buffer of $0. The plans for the other account will have us living somewhat lean and frugal this month th too. - We tend to look for a diy using what we own when we are looking for a frugal living uplift. Something that won't take months to complete and most often a want 'cause a want helps sooth the soul differently than many needs.
Jackie! Welcome to the family ❤️ I love Larry and Hope! I hope you get tons of value from my videos. See you again soon:) (New video tonight at 6:00pm) Have a wonderful day.
Funny you mentioned earrings... I bought myself a pair of earrings off Etsy for $14 that I’ve been wanting for a long time… I thought to myself “these earrings are going to make me feel great!” I got them in the mail, ripped open the package and put them on. They did not look great on me but I thought they would. Even my husband didn’t like them. I’m going to return them but this experience made me think about how I build things up in my head, and sometimes make objects more important than what they actually are. Those Earrings didn’t do what I thought they would do...I’m glad to have the $14 back in my wallet.
Hi Hawk! Sorry for those spam comments. UGH! This is the REAL me! Thank you for sharing with us and for watching! So glad you are here. That is funny that I mentioned earrings!!!:):)
Each spring & early winter I get the bug to "buy" .. I make my list & save (monthly) for those 2x year break loose days. It's post season clearance items.
Just subscribed to your channel- Under The Median suggested; so glad they did. Since I choose to live frugally; when there is something I want to spend on - I know that I can!
Hi Reba! WELCOME to the family! I love Under the Median. I'm so glad you are here! I hope my videos bring you a ton of value. Have a wonderful day. This week I also have a video on Wed and Fri. OH! And we have a LIVE book club on Sundays if you want to visit with us:)
Frugal fatigue is real. I get tempted sometimes to get off the budget. All I have to remember is the mission to become debt free. My future self will thank me
hallmark gag lol. I am excited that I'm onto my next snowball is excited so it helps me give up too much take-out when I'm busy I enjoy the budget thing let myself have $20.00 in my budget a fortnight I may not use it but it's there. Buns was a classic on the prowl. have a great weekend Kate & Kaden .
Rewatching lol. When i get frugal fatigue my weakness is eating out. Not fancy or anything but things like hot chips, fries to you Americans lol, sushi, cold rolls, chocolate etc. Everything else I'm prettty happy about. I'd say I buy clothes once a year at a second hand store, my car was 1,200 5 years ago and I don't get any "luxuries" except maybe presents for loved ones. Food makes me happy. The whole cooking in advance is fine but I go through times where I feel done with it.
I wish I could see being frugal as fun, even though it is a necessity. I'm so tired of it. Every month seems like an uphill battle and I can't see it ever getting better. Not having enough to make ends meet.
@@KateKaden it really can! I pray one day it will be fun, as things will be better and it will be a choice, and hey, by then I'll be an old hat at it! Positive points and all that...
Sab I understand I felt like you 2 years ago. I was so tired of it. I finally got 2 debts paid off and it freed up a little money. I am now 1 month ahead on bills. I have never been able to do that b4! Have an emergency fund. It will eventually get better. Honest!
Thankyou saveing is fun and sensible but like you say if I want something nice I will save purposely for it but always want rainy day money .I fell and fractured my shoulder and leg .I was to have 8 weeks off .when I got wages I only got half and the next month too it realy made us panic we just didn't have enough to cope with bills rent and food borrowed to the max it took us months and months to pay all the money back I swore from then on we must save a small amount reg .just incase of unforseen circumstances .thank you x
I let myself go and make a huge list of stuff i could spend money on then look at it the next day when im sane. If i still want it i rank it. Then put it onto my amazon wish list or put into my monthlyvfun money budget.
Remembering the "Why" is important to know that it is purpose driven to an end of release to feel debt free; no lingering bills not paid, however, you are on top of your finances each month with clarity.
Thank you so much cait! Sorry for those 3 other comments that were NOT from me. someone stole my pic and made a fake account. UGH! Anyway this is ME for real:) and thank you!!!
You are so very welcome! I'm so so glad my videos are helpful! I'm so glad you are here! Have an awesome day and I will see you for the next one!!!:):)
I look.at it as do i want to struggle to pay for the needed ? Or,do i want to focus on my own 4 walls, and ignore what other people may or may not have. 1.i dont know anyone else's financial situation 2.what other people choose to do with their money, and lives aint none of my business. So ,in knowing, understanding, and realizing this,i can stay frugal. Its,for me,a matter of think.i know damn well i aint got no 6 figure income. I.know social media is fake. I know the images we are flooded with are not the whole story
I’ve got frugal fatigue. I put in a shirt that I hadn’t worn in a while and I just wanted to go online and freely purchase a few new shirts. I started looking but the prices were a downer. 🤣
If you have the opportunity a good used store has good quality clothes for reduced cost. Just check the quality, condition and ask about return policies.
You sound like a hallmark card but it is so true! 😂😂 I'm on year 3 of committing to paying off my debt and I'm so thankful I stuck to it and didn't give up. I've made mistakes, I've charged stuff, I've learned a hell of a lot... but I kept going and very soon I will be credit card debt free 😭😭😭 My tip (what I've learned for myself in this journey), is that I need to practice balance in my budget in order to not blow it. So for example, I take a mom almost every night. It costs money to heat that water, however for me that tradeoff is worth it. #balance lol
I remember that I exchanged a portion of my life to earn the money. Therefore, by wasting the money is wasting my life.
Love this Patricia! It's so true. -the real Kate-sorry about that spam in my comments!
That is exactly how it is for me. Being wasteful is the equivalent of throwing away money.

The Dollar is good for a splurge. We always need greeting cards & gift bags. Simple Living videos help focus on non money pleasures.
🥰🥰
Your positive attitude is inspiring, Kate.
Hello from Switzerland 🤗
Bar Gerver, thank you so much! I'll keep them coming. I really appreciate your support:)
I am taking on your challenge. This should be fun.
Yayyyyyy!!! Can’t wait to see it!!!😍😍😍
Good morning! Saving money is fun.
Reformed big spender here.
I need to budget spending money each payday to beat the Frugal Fatigue.
Good morning!!!!! So glad you are here!
As always I love your channel. Love the book club. I watch each over and over and get something new each time. Keep up the great work!!
Katheryn, this makes my weekend knowing that my content is helpful to you! Thank you thank you!!!!🙏🙏
This is a great video. I had a controlled splurge on some AirPods the other day. I have like reverse buyers remorse. I just keep getting happier and happier with the purchase. This is what we work hard and save for after all, right? Security and options? The purpose of frugality is not to deny ourselves what we truly want.
YASSS! Love this Catharine!
Fatigue is a real thing-I remember it vividly when trying to finish paying off the house mortgage-it reminds me of when going on a trip-“are we there yet?” What got me through it was to look at my banking statement online and look at where I started-there was a dramatic difference of when I started to really chop at my mortgage and where I was at that moment-it’s a process-
YESSSS!! "Are we there yet!?!?" HAHAHA TOTALLY!!!!!!
One of the best You Tubers, always watching.🤗
Ahh! That means so much to me🙏thank you!
Lissa, I LOVE this comment! THANK YOU!
Thank you so much Cherie!
I took you up on your offer! I made the video!
Yayyyy!!! I cannot wait to watch!!!!!
Thank you so so much Malissa!!!!!!
@@KateKaden..... thank you. For putting all the time and love to helping others
CAROL this is AWESOME!!!!! YASSSS!!!!!!! So proud of you!
I think it helps to write down your why and verbalize it out loud to remind yourself. I think of it as a positive affirmation. My why for being frugal now is being able to go part time by end of 2021.
Totally! Writing it down and verbalizing is a great idea! Thank you Mary Ann!
You are too funny this morning. Love your inspiration and encouragement ❤️
Gloria I appreciate you enjoying my humor today! Lol!!!!! 🤣🥰👊
LOOK AT YOU GO SUE! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!
Working little treats into my budget keeps me on track. Plus practicing contentment
Love ya!
I just look at our 'future budget' (without debts) and I will turn on one of your videos and get inspired to continue my frugal living journey.
I bought a singing bird clock that chimes a different birdsong on the hour. It continues to delight me and the kids. Small splurge, totally great.
Love that!
Thanks ! Have a good weekend!
Hi Pam! Happy Friday! Thank you for coming and watching this Frugal Friday!
Kate I prefer the frugal fatigue than the BROKE FATIGUE, so tired of living so many years of my life, just spending money
Holy moly YASSSS!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌 Same❤️
Even I'm 100% debt free including mortgage I feel I can't just spend freely still need to be frugal.
You are such a great encourager! This could be applied to many areas of life.
I think I’ll listen to it again every once in a while.
Thank you so so much Jackie!
Such a good video! Frugal fatigue is REAL
Thank you so much Emily! It's so REAL right? AHHH!!
Kate, great topic! And challenge accepted, girl! We'll record our video and air it on Monday, April 5th. We'll tag your video in the description.
Yayyyy!!!! I can’t wait to watch Hope!!!🙌🥰❤️
I love this comment Michelle! Thank you!
Please please do a video about saving your stimulus or tax refund and applying it to debt. So many people think, OMG I have a refund! New TV! Our frugal tip is to plan on our income tax refund to pay our real estate taxes.
Oooh yeah I’m still playing around w where I’m putting both🥰 Love that we have options! I love your plan!
Good morning Chantal!!!! Thank you for sharing with us!!❤️🥰
@@KateKaden good morning to! Your welcome, thank you for your sparkling video🙂 Have you found your lens allready😉
hope you have a great weekend. Say hi to kaden from me please! See you on sunday! 😘
This a great idea to search to UA-cam , thank you Chantal! You are so right, food is a celebration, having our favorite meals, gathering with family and cooking is the purpose of life. Have a beautiful weekend!🤗💛
@@vidahappy-frugalspanglishv1528 thank you! It works for us😉
@@pigletsbank437 Awesome! We also love food and I manage to incorporate special meals into our super frugal grocery budget since I meal plan for the month. Life is to short to not spend time with family or friends and good food.😉👍
Thank you for the great video. I want to learn how to be more frugal.
Violeta you are in the right place! Please click on my frugal living playlist for TONS more🥰
This was just what I needed to hear Today! Call it whatever "cabin/Spring fever" I usually over celebrate this time of year by overindulging myself: used-stores, eating out, charities, etc.
Even though my Er. Fund is secure and my spend downs, I start to feel the need to pull in the reigns! Like "Whoa horsey, let's slow down." (Re-evaluate & tweak)
I know from past lessons the headaches & misery a good frugal lifestyle brings.
Thanks K & K Squad! 🤔🙄🤔😊
Hi Judy!!! Yasss!!! spring fever is real too!!!! So glad you are here Judy!
Love this Mrs S! Thank you!!!
I look forward to doing my version of this video, thanks for the challenge Kate!👍💕
I cannot WAIT to watch it!!!!
@@KateKaden Awesome!😉
You are so right, just like you mentioned on the example when you were in the pool... there is so many things that we can do and enjoy even being frugal. I have experienced frugal fatigue at one time or another but I'm so used to being frugal, and have experienced the benefits of it, that thank God I snap out of it right away!🤣🤣😂😂 This is such a fun challenge, I will take your word on it and upload my video at the beginning of April since I have a series & a Give Away going on this month. Thank you Kate!😉💕
You are so welcome! Sorry for the comment spamming person that invaded my comments!!! AHHH!!!!!!!
@@KateKaden You don't have to apologize, is not your fault. The good thing is that we know you, we recognize a fake comment, and we try to look out for you by letting you know or reporting something if it's bad. Enjoy your weekend Kate!🤗💖
Excellent tips , love the one if you see something you want leave it and put the money in the bank .No more clutter , no more buyer's remorse !🦋🤗
YASSS!!! Thanks Linda!
It's interesting to actually notice what you are doing... and just by paying attention the money you spend seems to decrease by magic!
One thing I love to buy are candles
I LOVE candles too!
Thanks for making it fun, Kate!🎉
My pleasure! Thanks for being here!
Great video Kate. Spend envy is real!!!! But it helps to know that buying stuff doesn't always equal happiness 💕

I missed this video initially, and I am glad...😅 because I can watch it today

Each spring & early winter I get the bug to "buy" .. I make my list & save (monthly) for those 2x year break loose days. It's post season clearance items.
That's a great idea!
Just subscribed to your channel- Under The Median suggested; so glad they did. Since I choose to live frugally; when there is something I want to spend on - I know that I can!

YESSSS! Love that Jennifer!
Great ideas I’m new to your channel loved it thanks for sharing.
I love a REWATCH Ace Spa! Thanks so much. I hear ya! I love to go out to eat too!!!!!
I wish I could see being frugal as fun, even though it is a necessity. I'm so tired of it. Every month seems like an uphill battle and I can't see it ever getting better. Not having enough to make ends meet.
I hear ya Sab! It can be so frustrating.
@@KateKaden it really can! I pray one day it will be fun, as things will be better and it will be a choice, and hey, by then I'll be an old hat at it! Positive points and all that...
Maybe it’s time for a change of scene Sab. Move somewhere cheaper, change jobs, give up one expensive thing that costs you too much every month.
Sab I understand I felt like you 2 years ago. I was so tired of it. I finally got 2 debts paid off and it freed up a little money. I am now 1 month ahead on bills. I have never been able to do that b4! Have an emergency fund. It will eventually get better. Honest!
@@vixxcottage thank you for sharing. It's good to know I can come back from this. 😍
I'm so sorry you fractured your shoulder and leg! AHH! How stressful. Are you all healed?
I let myself go and make a huge list of stuff i could spend money on then look at it the next day when im sane. If i still want it i rank it. Then put it onto my amazon wish list or put into my monthlyvfun money budget.
Love this Kerry! (Ignore those SPAM comments! ugh!) This is actually me!

I experiance frugal fatig but, I didn't understand it at first. So I do extreme sabings in spurts.
I look.at it as do i want to struggle to pay for the needed ? Or,do i want to focus on my own 4 walls, and ignore what other people may or may not have.
1.i dont know anyone else's financial situation
2.what other people choose to do with their money, and lives aint none of my business.
So ,in knowing, understanding, and realizing this,i can stay frugal.
Its,for me,a matter of think.i know damn well i aint got no 6 figure income.
I.know social media is fake.
I know the images we are flooded with are not the whole story
YASSS!

Yasss!!! You got this Gretchen!!
I totally hear you Bethany!!! :):)
You sound like a hallmark card but it is so true! 😂😂
I'm on year 3 of committing to paying off my debt and I'm so thankful I stuck to it and didn't give up. I've made mistakes, I've charged stuff, I've learned a hell of a lot... but I kept going and very soon I will be credit card debt free 😭😭😭
My tip (what I've learned for myself in this journey), is that I need to practice balance in my budget in order to not blow it. So for example, I take a mom almost every night. It costs money to heat that water, however for me that tradeoff is worth it. #balance lol
