I can't thank you enough for this proper set-up guide. I just got my first sup and the directions it came with are horrible. And I'll be honest, I had to google how to use the pressure pump 🤣 But thank you. Now, just need spring/summer in the pnw
Seriously, how hard is it to pump up a SUP with a manual pump ? The reason I ask is that I am about to buy my first paddleboard having hired boards in 2021 and have narrowed my choice down to two: the iRocker All-Around 11’ or the Bluefin Cruise. The BlueFin however comes with a free electric pump. A mate who owns one says the electric pump is almost essential, but to be fair he only got a single chamber manual pump with his board. The iRocker is a 2-chamber pump.
It's a decent workout to inflate with the manual pump that most boards come with. It depends on your strength but it takes at least 10 mins of solid pumping. I would say 15 mins for a majority of people or less if you are very fit and enjoy cardio lol.
@@northwestpaddleboarding5343 Thank you for your detailed reply. my new SUP actually arrived today. I eventually decided on the Bluefin Cruise 10'8" At £449 here in the UK, it comes with a kayak seat, double blade paddle and currently on offer with an electric pump for free, as well as the normal single chamber pump. It was too good an offer to refuse. I just wish the North Sea was a little warmer. .. it's f r e e e e z i n g
Took me a little over 10 min. Probably could have been faster because I had no idea I could adjust the setting on my pump once the psi reached a certain level😊
Good tutorial. But... First, why not to use portable air compressor for tyres with an adaptor? Adaptor costs really cheap and compressor with regulated pressure limit in PSI is also not expensive (in my country the good one is about 25 usd). However, you will save a lot of time and stamina. Second, you switched the gauge on your pump to a single action. Better explain peolple why you did that) Good luck, babe.
@@northwestpaddleboarding5343 Yep, but there is no problem with setting a pressure limit. Set 15 PSI and just wait). It stops automatically when the limit is reached. Well, I don't push anybody to go my way....

After pumping the inflatable SUP up to 15 psig, I already have enough excise and ready to go home. That's why I have an electric pump for that.
This was the only helpful video I could find...🤣 thank you so much!!
Great video. Helpful (and amusing). Prevented me demonstrating my incompetence. Thanks
Thank you, this was very helpful since my gauge is stuck at zero!
Forever have a mini heart attack! lol! True that!
Cool! Looks like soo much fun!

You pump the paddleboard + pump your muscles. 🏄♀️💪😉👍🏖
Yeah I’ll never use a manual pump for anything ever again lol Will def buy the electric for this.
Such a Simple thing . Instruction Spot on 🏅🏆🎖🏅 Thank you James in Dublin City ❤💚♥️
Thank you!
If you have a dual chamber board do you want to have the second chamber at 15 PSI as well ?
I have never seen a dual chamber board. Aside from the Connelly Pacific but that's just the seat section that yes, would still inflate to 15 psi.

Great sport activity. You lose calories without even placing board in to the water!
Heart attack? Free hair drying.
True 🤷♀️
I wish Id seen this before I broke the valve on mine by doing it wrong!
@@moviebuff6490 Oh no! You can replace the valve. It's a little tricky but definitely possible!
did I just miss the part where you tell how long it takes???
10 min 3:19
@@MrAPandaManthanks!
Btw I'd be exhausted after 10min

Great question! Some companies will not honor their warranty if you use an air compressor to inflate the board.

The condensation produced by the air compressor damages the inside of the SUP. That is why even the Canadian SUP racers use the hand pump babe.
dont be a squid and pump your board up like a man.
@@krziga1 lol 😂 I prefer being a squid
