7:59 This video is realy great. Good information and great to see the bird flying. My wife and my self have met this bird in person and it was a joy to see the bird fly. I would recommend a morning out with Mercer Falconry
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ She is so cute! I know I’ve already commented that she’s cute, but I have to say it again because of how adorable she is. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊
I work with birds, mainly parrots and ouh... i hate when i am in a hurry for training a behavior because thats when all the things that can go wrong happen!! I always try to put long final dates so there's enough time to follow the plan and also some extra time in case anything happens in between because my luck is very low😅😅😅 Anyways I love the idea of hidding a sound in the grass for the owl to find it! It can look so great once is train with enough time haha
Yes I hate to rush training, my calendar just kind of ran away from me and the owl evenings completely crept up on me. I would like to say it was done for tension to make a video more interesting but in reality it’s just my rubbish planning 😂
she is so cute I love her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!💖🦉😃
Hi Dan, hope your well! Sorry ive not been around much lately, (my health hasn't been all that great) but im back and raring to go! At first i thought you had a new bird i completely forgot about whip as you hadnt named her when i last saw, if you did i didnt see (or should that be hear?) 😂 definitely do a video on the tracking ability of owls that would be so cool to see lots of love take care ❤️ 😍 xxx
Good to know you are on the mend! I’ve not made a lot of videos about Whip because she grew up while I was taking a break away from UA-cam and just don’t have a lot of footage of her but that will be changing from now on
“What is a hospital aviary? Do you have a first aid kit for your birds? If so, what do you include in it? And can you make a video on how to clean out your aviary?”😊🦉
I’m not sure what you mean by a hospital aviary but yes I have a first aid kit for the birds that includes all the typical stuff from any animal first aid kit along with a crop tube, F10 barrier cream, and AviMix powder!
@@MercerFalconry In your video, you said, “Like everything in falconry, there are multiple ways of doing things, and there are a few different kinds of housing, such as hack pens, breeding aviaries, and even hospital aviaries.’” What is the hospital Avery?😊 and can you make a video on how to clean out your Avery‘s?😊
Ohhh right! At one of the centres I learnt at they had a small bird hospital area and they had some indoor aviaries designed to be kept really clean and warm. I think I show cleaning my aviaries in the housing video I made years ago
If you don't mind Helping me out with a question Sir ? (I'm ex Military) What Bird would you recommend (besides pigeon) that could pass messages between 30 to 60 mile radius and could adopt to different weather conditions (if any). I know this don't have to do with your video and I'm sorry did love the video (by the way) just wanted your expertise in that question if you don't mind. Plz and thank you
That’s an interesting question and I’m not sure I can really answer it, knowing birds of prey I highly doubt any raptor could be used, they use ravens in Game of Thrones but other than that I think it’s mainly just pigeons used

@MercerFalconry ok thank you for answering me back (and so quick thank you) so theoretically a Raven can do it ? Thank you again God bless
