Her voice is beautiful. I never once remembered hearing any song from Mazzy Star in the 90s. I am glad I have found them now in my 30s where I can appreciate music more
I never listened to them live and I didn’t know they could sound any better. Their studio work is already mesmerizing but she has such stage presence because of her vocal bliss. I think the band knows how great she sounds and they do a great job of complimenting her.

They were such a captivating live show. When I saw them at Irving Plaza in the 90's the crowd was so hypnotized you could hear a pin drop. I'm so thankful there were no cell phones back then.
Dave Roback never plays anything more difficult that someone with only a few years of experience couldn't play, but he ALWAYS plays THE RIGHT THING at THE RIGHT TIME. FANTASTIC! & Hope, my god, are you kidding me? Incredibly under-appreciated band. They should be superstars!
Hope is still very beautiful. She is one of my best friends aunt. She is very nice but incredibly shy, which is why she usually looks uncomfortable in all the videos you see of her. Outside of that shes very normal and comes from a very typical Mexican family.

I fell in love with Mazzy in '94. Recorded this very performance on VHS. Bought the record. Already had the Pale Saints version on vinyl. I sit here in 2021 strumming along on my guitar. Mainly D to G, momentarily moving to A or E. Your dog could do it.
Back in '97(I think) I bought Among My Swan on a whim and have loved that cd ever since. 2 major facts that I have never realized until this very moment: 1-Mazzy Star is the name of the band, not the girl singing. 2- that the girl singing was sooooo sexy. All these years I had NO CLUE...lol. Now I like the cd even better.
