So good to see more of Diana's chops at the keyboard. They compliment her great vocals. I have found that in her studio recordings the keys sometimes take a back seat. This is fine but I love to see and hear her tickle the ivories. She's one hell of a great pianist. And her backup musicians are superb.

Damn, that is some weird stuff in the last few months. If you are interested in a comment on Diana... I've seen quite a few concerts over the last 50 years, been to a bunch of live shows at classy joints and dives. Her performance here in Birmingham was masterful. I put it on a par with Genesis and Yes. I'm posting this after only three songs, so that I can settle in for the show, bit if you are checking recent comments to see if you should watch the show, please accept my assurance that she is a major talent,and she surrounds herself with excellent musicians. Give it a try, I don't think you're going to be disappointed.
I have never retrieved a sound and a visual knowing it to be for certian Ms. Diana Krall without thinking of her husband and her children and how what a beautiful life it must be for beauty in music is the very best and I believe that very vuch so. Wow, some rocking guitar on 'Lonely Avenue', at about 1:02:00 in. And her emphasis/ phrasing on the lyrics is so strong. Love this.
