Mine just came in today, tried it on the pine tree i climbed with my summit viper. I will say the reaper did not like that, not sure if it was the tree or not but the bottom platform wouldnt really dig into tree and would wiggle back and forth. Also another complaint i have is theres not much room between bar and seat. But other than that its super light and perfect for bow hunting
Just got mine in! I’m gonna try heat shrink on those push pins as an option instead of electrical tape. The tape always lifts up on my over time and leaves things sticky.
Clifton Denney, thanks for your content, Brother! I am a longtime tree stand guy like you. Lots of lock ons and different climbers and a bit of saddle hunting lately. My question for you is: For a bow hunting climber for public land in the southeast, would you choose this XOP stand or the Summit Open Shot???? Thanks in advance. Good hunting and happy holidays!

Great video bud ordered mine a few min ago i didn't think they were going to be out until January . Suggestion on shoulder straps didn't realize it didn't come with any until i was reading some comments.
interesting they got rid of the straps to connect the bottom to the top while climbing and used while set to keep the set locked to the tree when you stand up. The straps on my xop ambush have saved me a couple of time this year when the bottom slipped off my feet and fell down. I was able to pull the bottom back up evenly and lock it back on the tree so I could get my feet back in to it. I like this stand though. I am a big guy and the only bad thing about the ambush is that my but does not fit between the bars. I carry a removable seat I made out of a board and foam that sits on top of the bars so that I can sit comfortably.

Brother, I’ve been hunting since 85 and I’ve never used a strap. My stand has never fallen out of the tree. If you give it a good bounce, it will bite into the bark and it won’t go anywhere.
