the border guy had an android shot right before kara and everyone gets through on my peaceful play through. He was definitely not letting androids through. I think he only let kara luther and alice through because of alice being a child. I reckon they were the exceptions
All the androids were essentially caught in a trap like Kara says when she realizes they're doing temperature checks. Even if it was hopeless, Jerry had no choice but to go along with the line and hope.
Judging by how the Jerry androids view Alice at the park, my guess that they see her similar to Luther does. That her life is important to keep safe, but I don’t blame this one for his fear. I mean the border is so close, imagine being that close to freedom only to be stopped when it’s in reach. I think that’s why seeing Luther, and Kara willingly sacrifice themselves here for Alice makes it all the more powerful. They’re so close to being free and safe yet they chose Alice’s safety and freedom above all else

There should’ve been an ending where Alice would die anyway even if you sacrificed someone if Markus didn’t protest peacefully and their security is tightened and they have to scan everyone. Just a thought

I played the game twice once with a semi good ending (i got connor decommissioned rip) and then the good ending (everyone lived, even todd lol) and i sacrificed no one while Markus led a peaceful protest. After they cross the border you dont see jerry, rose or adam again cause the story is over.

I doubt Kara would be able to do that considering she had trouble with a high Todd, not to mention she isn’t made for combat like Conner is. Conner is an advanced android who is able to take multiple people on at once, Luther could probably fight, considering he can kill with just a shove to the ground (if the cop goes into the laundry room), but he also dies to a single bullet. It might be that different models have different strengths, durability, endurance, ect. it would explain why Marcus can take like 5 bullets without slowing down and Luther can only take one
I stopped watching at 7:03 I busted into tears I'm in love with Luther and how he has a soft heart but a big brute outside shell that he is supposed to be. I just love how the difference between a peaceful march and a negative march makes such a huge impact whether they cross the border or not with sacrificing anyone
If you chose to do a revolution with Markus then choosing to Sacrifice Jerry is the most preferable option. But If you chose to do a demonstration with Markus then you won't need to sacrifice anyone. This and many other reasons is why(story wise) the peaceful ending trumps the violent one.
Well, on my playthrough I had Markus choose revolution and he saved Kara and Alice right when they were about to die. It was one of the most emotional things I've ever experienced, so I don't think only demonstration brings happier outcomes and incredible story-wise moments.
Kara lied many times in this moment to reassure Alice, "i know you'll be happy without me" she won't "she'll give you the life i never could" she gave her several lives by saving her "i hope you'll find a real family" she's her only real family, she's been broken by todd many times because she kept deviating to save Alice, kara is motherhood in human form...
Luther is one of my favorite characters i hate that sacrificing him is an options because he literally did it without question because he loves kara and alice so much

Sacrificing no one is a good option when you didnt play violently earlier like kubz, if you did then you have to sacrifice someone because they wont let you in
You must have played a peaceful route as Marcus. If you pay attention to when the guard lets you through, you can see he looks to the TV and sees how Marcus is leading a peaceful protest and isn’t killing anyone or destroying property. The guard takes pity on you and lets you through. If you go violent, the guard is disgusted by the androids and sees them as killers, so he won’t let you through. This video shows both of these situations since they obviously lead to very different results.

Tip if you want them all to live (even jerry): just have a very high or supportive public opinion and then make no sacrifice, the guard will look at the screen and let you in without saying a word

I just love how the difference between a peaceful march and a negative march makes such a huge impact whether they cross the border or not with sacrificing anyone
If you chose to do a revolution with Markus then choosing to Sacrifice Jerry is the most preferable option. But If you chose to do a demonstration with Markus then you won't need to sacrifice anyone. This and many other reasons is why(story wise) the peaceful ending trumps the violent one.
Well, on my playthrough I had Markus choose revolution and he saved Kara and Alice right when they were about to die. It was one of the most emotional things I've ever experienced, so I don't think only demonstration brings happier outcomes and incredible story-wise moments.
Kara lied many times in this moment to reassure Alice, "i know you'll be happy without me" she won't "she'll give you the life i never could" she gave her several lives by saving her "i hope you'll find a real family" she's her only real family, she's been broken by todd many times because she kept deviating to save Alice, kara is motherhood in human form...
If you make a peaceful protest with markus, then you can choose to not make a sacrafice at all and still pass

When I played this game I chose to sacrifice no one, and they made it through. Maybe it’s just the other decisions I made in the game earlier.
You must have played a peaceful route as Marcus. If you pay attention to when the guard lets you through, you can see he looks to the TV and sees how Marcus is leading a peaceful protest and isn’t killing anyone or destroying property. The guard takes pity on you and lets you through. If you go violent, the guard is disgusted by the androids and sees them as killers, so he won’t let you through. This video shows both of these situations since they obviously lead to very different results.
