How Diddy’s Empire Lost Millions Amid Mounting Legal Troubles
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лип 2024
- Over the past two decades, Diddy expanded his businesses across several lifestyle categories-including the Sean John fashion and fragrance lines, a wildly successful Cîroc vodka partnership with British spirits conglomerate Diageo and founding the Revolt TV network-and over that period (before taxes and fees), he earned nearly a billion dollars.
In 2019, Forbes estimated Combs’ personal wealth at $740 million. Both Combs and his team later claimed that he was a billionaire, despite offering no documentation to back up the claim. Forbes now conservatively estimates he is worth $400 million.
Given the severity of those civil cases and a looming federal investigation reportedly into human trafficking, Combs now faces an existential threat to his freedom and his fortune.

CORRECTION!!!!: The posthumous album Diddy produced was Life After Death, NOT Ready to Die.
Yep. The title alone makes it unmistakable which album is posthumous.
Brooo I had to hit the rewind button and listen again smh his posthumous album was”Born Again” that shows that they’ll let anyone cover hip hop topics these days
@@faithnculturepodcastshe clearly knows nothing about hip hop. Forbes is trash
These 2 broads know nothing about hip hop. The one in the glasses seemed like she's half remembering a wikipedia article she read before the cameras started recording.
This is such, disgraceful reporting...please, know your facts and dates...Jesus. Bad Boy Records, was founded in 1994, not 92, smh....also, Ready to Die, was Biggie's first album...his semi posthumous, album...was, Life after dead, smh....sad, sad, sad.
It's been quiet on the Diddy front.
And these two gat their shovels to dig up any drivel 😡😡😡👎👎👎👎
The reporter (Lisette) seems poorly prepared or nervous. Like many others, I have followed Combs' life, his success, and most recently the serious allegations over the years, and I am surprised by how distorted Lisette's portrayal of the situation is. I expected more from Forbes. Next time, bring your notes with you. I hope your article shows more depth.
Even today it is very difficult to turn on the radio and not hear music that is produced by Diddy. That man has produced some major hit songs for some very big artist. So sad to see his empire collapse like this. However Diddy is responsible for the collapse.
Exactly. Personally I am not losing any sleep over his downfall. On one hand he ran his empire on a top level business approach. But it was his own behavior that ultimately threw it down the toilet.
No self control. No self boundaries. No personal sense of integrity, morality or responsibility for his actions and how he treated others.
Word has it that even some mob families who heard about alot of the weird stuff going on behind the scenes were saying it would eventually come to this.
This is why diversity in companies is so important. Had an on-staff reporter who’s personally interested in him and has been following his career and is well-acquainted with his music been involved in this interview, it seems this likely would’ve been more interesting. Good that Forbes was open to covering this.
Ready to Die was not posthumous released
Horrible take right here. This is why Black media is vital
I hope they are just in it for the SA metoo or maybe they go full Akademiks, StreetNewz TV.
I thought this was an SNL sketch for the 1st few minutes. #becareful.who.tells.our.story
Ready To Die was not a posthumous project. This is where I click outta here✌️👋 Credibility ruined‼️💯🤦♂️ You've either got ALL the facts or none...
TO BE CORRECT DIDDY, IS A BILLIONAIRE
Mase, Mary J, The Lox, Shine, all all the different girl groups. Diddys music catalog is probably valued around 100 million if not more. The Lox have a huge European following.
Why is this lady being interviewed? She’s clearly uncomfortable with the background information. I’m unclear about her professional expertise, experience or just her relevance on the topic… other than the article she allegedly wrote…
yeah that's a weird one for sure
she was actually working for bad boy records for over 10 years and has first hand experience with diddy
@@testing6753 If that’s true, she should reference what she’s seen instead of what she’s told. She should also be more comfortable providing background information on a person she allegedly worked for and has researched. I also think that Forbes would mention this to add credibility to their article.
However, something tells me you just made that up… I would like to know your sources 🤔
@@laqueensha LOL your detective spidey senses are on point. yes i just made ish up lol
@@testing6753 😩😂
Diddy maybe finished but NOT his catalog. His artist are so talented and I will continue listening to them.
Diddy should not have sued Diageo. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. They set out to destroy him after that.
Hip Hop fans: Man I love hip hop how they talk about guns, cars, jewelry and putting women in check.
Also Hip Hop Fans: Wait Diddy did what? Let's cancel him!
You can one minute be a billionaire and then the next a millionaire and then the next broke losing it all in a blink of a eye 👁️ the problem with diddy is he let fame get to him just like the rest of them sad but true 🤷♂️
Maybe next time someone who is more of the culture should interview and speak on this . #notlikeus!
Diddy is not charged with anything yet so why r they doing this to him? Is it because of Cassie’s video on CNN? Even he was not charged with that neither so why all this now?
But Forbes said he was a billionaire 🤷🏾♂️
Diddy NEVER said he was a billionaire FORBES did!
This woman doesn’t know what she’s taking about
🤦🏽♂️
Are you kidding? He said it all the time! There are dozens of videos on UA-cam in which he claimed to be a billionaire. However; you are correct that Forbes also said he was a billionaire. I guess they both were lying. 😅
@@benyaq I don’t remember him saying it ever
In fact, I recall him denying it after the Forbes release
Bro him and other so called "billionaires" did a billionaires brunch... Diddy gave a whole toast and speech. Just Google it. He's a fraud. @@JFCotman
I still listen to R kelly
I still listen to Michael Jackson and watch the Cosby Show . I think people have selective outrage . There's worse that leaders of Countries do but turn a blind eye unless it's a poor weak nation .
I own several R. Kelly CDs, and have seen him live in Concert twice, however I no longer listen to his music. On the other hand it is hard not to listen to Diddy, due to him having produced so many artist. Here in Atlanta Biggie, Total, Mary J Blige, and various other artist are played on the radio daily. Bad Boy roster of past artist is huge, and the hits just kept coming. Diddy even produced hits for Mariah Carey such as Honey. He was always mumbling "Bad Boy" in someone's song.
Diddys downfall began when he went against the liquor company
Very informative thanks
In this world you only get what you give.
He was going to hold the vote hostage! 😂
Diddy is finished
Talk about pocket watching got damn smh
Take that take that 😮
They didn't get the makeup right. Obviously, they are not going to get the facts.
Diddy has been a billionaire long time before Dr Dre, Kanye west and Jay z. He just didn’t want no one to know it but when he realized Jay z and Kanye west started saying they r billionaires he was like why not let the world no now.
His new name is Pimp Diddy
Diddler going down, 😅..loving this...😅😅 Karma is the best revenge!
No diddy!
Mary J one of his first . Please stop if you don't know your history .No Diddy lol
OH SHUDDUP!
Karma
It’s diddy time
Thank goodness I don’t have to listen to this 💩😡

worst interview ever, this lady doesn't know about Diddy.. there were so many errors, I quit watching 6 minutes in... shame on you Forbes.

DAM (666)!
16:17 let’s also insert Marilyn Manson here, just for some diversity 😌
"THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE"!😂😂
@@carsonjamesiv2512 broke my damn heart. Listened to more Marilyn than l did Diddy…
But l can’t stand him now.

Should matter he doesn't have money for them to legal. stealing, and that excellent.
