As a complete noob to CO2 this video was perfect to just see how everything fits together and also what I need to get started. I have seen videos and read a lot of information about CO2 setups but never have I seen how to actually put one together! Thank you! And even better you are an Aussie! :D
Thanks for making these tutorial videos. They are very easy to follow along and just get straight to the point. Your content is top notch! Eventually I'll get started with CO2 and start with something inexpensive like a paintball gun CO2 tank and an inexpensive regulator.
Another great video mate. Lots of information, easy to flow. Defiantly will come back to this video if I ever run co2. Good to see ya dog making an appearance too. Love it 😀
Excellent video mate. One thing to note is when putting on the glass diffuser, don't put too much pressure on it as they can easily break and you can end up with it through your hand.
great video, im going to set one of these up aswell, and compare the difference between the generator and bottled co2. look forward to seeing the progress of that one in your flex
I just got a diy type kit not to long ago and have it up and running. Brand ZRDR and so far i gotta say its not a bad unit. I have it in a 20 gallon fully planted amd I have the diffuser on the bottom left then a hob filter dead center for circulation only (its filled with crushed coral for hardness) and a sponge on the right side. My question is where should i place the drop checker? I have it on the opposite side of the diffuser and towards the front of the tank. Thanks for any help. 👍🏼
Hey Blake. Say you've got a low tech planted tank with easy plants such as java fern and anubias but you've also got a outbreak of algae that you can't get control of.. could you use a budget c02 set up to get rid of the algae and then stop using it once the algae is gone?
Gday, technically it might work because there may be more plant volume in the end to soak up the excess light or nutrients but in reality its better to address the excess light or whatever else is causing the algae
@@BlakesAquatics Thanks Blake. I was wondering if the diffuser and everything like that are any good since I know that you can use paintball co2 cartrigaes or ones used to inflate bike tires which are less expensive.
@@reaodasdf yeah you can but when ypu consider the volume the 2.6kg keg king co2 bottles are second cheapest only to expired co2 fire extinguishers i believe.

Very informative, but I the best bit was when the dog leaped into a void and disappeared :D

Are the all in one co2 kits any good?
Theyre ok but much more costly than buying a full bottle

How long till I see results using co2 ?
